Very welcoming, lovely room and fantastic breakfast. Excellent service and our dog was welcomed too.
Couldn’t fault our stay here. Everything excellent.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was a lovely size, the bed was very comfortable and everything was perfectly clean. Breakfast was stunning, particularly the smoked haddock with poached eggs. Lovely views from the rear of the proper as Meare is situated right in the beautiful Somerset countryside, with several nice walks in the area. It is also very close to Glastonbury, Wells and other towns.
Rooms were a touch dated, though very clean and comfortable, and the shower in our room at least didn't have great water pressure, though the bathroom itself was spotless.

Welcome, cleanliness and great breakfast!

Exceptionaly quiet and relaxing old house

We were made very welcome. The room was very comfortable with our own balcony/terrace adjoining which was an unexpected surprise, with views of the garden and beautiful countryside. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Overall we had a wonderful stay.
The shower was very slow, with pressure and water flow. However, the water was nice and hot,so did the job. Also the room was quite small, with not much floor space, but compensated by the big balcony.

Friendly helpful host, great breakfast, excellent location for Glastonbury and Avalon Marshes nature reserve.

Good parking, and a lovely room with a very comfortable bed. A friendly welcome and very efficient service. In the morning we enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of toast, marmalade and fresh coffee, served in a lovely high ceilinged spacious room. There is a nice garden and a terrace to sit out on if the weather is good.
We would stay there again without hesitation if we were visiting the area.

The age of the building and its history So lucky to experience a night here

Breakfast has several options, including vegetarian and gluten free options.
7 min. Drive from Glastonbury.

It was quiet, and the owners were very welcoming. Location is perfect for Glastonbury, West Kennet, and Stonehenge.
The shower space within the larger tub was smaller than we liked, and the wifi was exceptionally slow or just wouldn't connect.
4.5
The old architecture style and the view from the great rooms.
Some floors were creaky, but it was ok. The staff were truly lovely through and through.

It was a great English experience in true English Manor. The breakfast was great.

Property is a lovely old Manor House with lots of character. So if you are expecting a purpose built modern hotel with no soul, this is not for you. It is set in a peaceful village 5 mins from Glastonbury. Lovely view from our room at the back of the property. Slept really well as no traffic noise. Hosts were friendly and professional. Breakfast choice was very good and would recommend mushrooms on toast if you are vegetarian. Husband had bacon toastie with bacon good perfectly. Parking on site out the front makes carrying bags in easy.

Run by a very nice and helpful couple, from before arrival to departure. Letting me book an extra night, booking me a taxi to get somewhere, and even making me a nice sandwich for me to take for lunch!
Breakfast is excellent, fresh, and cooked for you to order. Also, I enjoyed their coffee. Recomend!
For a girl coming from London, a bit of a shock with no easy transport... But most guests will be travelling and have a car. So no issues there. There is plenty of space to park.

Good location for us to visit local bird reserves.

Friendly hosts.
Definitely will stay again..
Needed password for Internet in room.
Unable to use some plug sockets.

Breakfast was excellent - a wide menu freshly cooked to order.
4.5
Excellent breakfast - both in quality and choice
Room was clean and comfortable although there was not much of a view - a driveway and buildings.
Staff welcoming and friendly
Very convenient for places such as Glastonbury, Wells and Burnham on Sea.
There was also a wonderful circular walk across fields to the next village where there was a welcoming pub.
Although drinks were available there was not an actual bar. The weekend we stayed the guest lounge was being used by family of the proprietor and we felt we should not intrude. Fortunately we were able to spend time at a farm in Panborough, where our son was staying.

Excellent breakfast, served with a smile. The fruit cocktail was freshly chopped (not from a tin), the yogurt lovely. Full english breakfast nicely cooked. Tea in a pot, not in a bag in a mug :)

We loved the atmosphere of homlieness at Meare.
Graham and Sue wonderful hosts.
In the evenings there is al lovely comfortable guest lounge to relax.
Our breakfast was freshly cooked every morning.
I wished I had booked an upgrade room as the rooms in the main part of the manor looked amazing. Our room was spacious and very clean tho.
The village of Meare doesnt have a pub or restaurant or any shops so you have to drive into Glastonbury

The room was very spacious, with a good sized bathroom and decent storage and space to relax. The staff were very accommodating, and went out of their way to help me when I had to be out early one day before breakfast had started, they left me out some cereal. The cooked breakfast had extensive options, all of which were made freshly to order and delicious.
