Excellent : like being transported to another era of luxury - low cost high value

This is a unique hotel , perfectly restored luxury ( French style) it’s so special yet calm and welcoming - spacious room monogrammed linen -great value for Monet ( you would pay lot for this in Europe) Nha front desk manager and her team were professional and helpful - high tea included everyday and excellent breakfast - a pleasant surprise I felt like a prince everyday : highly recommended don’t miss it as part of your Dalat experience

길가 방은 하루종일 시끄러워 발코니 문을 열어 놓을 수 없었어요.

가장 좋은 점은 멋진 분위기의 하이티 시간, 우아한 분위기와 고급스런 실내 장식이었습니다.

로얄 슈페리어는 길과 너무 가까운 방들이어서 엄청 시끄러웠습니다. 발코니가 있으나 밤낮을 가릴 것 없이 하루종일 시끄러웠습니다. 시끄러운 오토바이 소리 때문에 발코니에 나가지도 못하고 문을 열어 놓을 수도 없어 한 낮에도 깜깜한 실내에 머무를 수 밖에 없었습니다. 호텔을 이용하시고 싶으신 분들은 꼭 호수 뷰로 예약하세요.

Great view and location, poor kitchen

Great view and location. Beautiful garden en terrace overlooking the lake. Stylishly 'classical French' furnished. It looks like Versailles. Nice bathtub and good beds. Free ‘high tea’ which is nicely decorated. Good breakfast with a lot of choices.

Shower in bathtub. When we showered the whole bathroom became wet. The high tea dishes looked great, didn't taste. We missed refined dishes, for example with fish.That made us decide not to have dinner at the hotel. We paid 50% of the normal price (125 usd) and we thought that was a fair price for now. With a better kitchen this could become a top hotel!

Overpriced and somewhat disappointed

The ambience and quaintness of the property, although the sister and much newer building far better.

The 100yo room... it had broken shower taps , no water pressure, and extreme sporadic water temperature, burning to freezing to no water at all from the droplets that made their way to the shower head, power points extremely dodgy and air conditioning unit dirty.... the staff were quick to upgrade our room. Staff polite but not warm. On check-in our non smoking room had a glass filled with used cigarettes from previous guest...

Would return for the unique experience

Its atmosphere and reminders of another era. The staff were exceptional and the breakfast and high tea were sumptuous.

The shower was difficult to use and the dinner was expensive and disappointing.

Superb

The room was lovely and clean and the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and particularly loved the high tea that was included each day.

Great historical tour by just staying!

We were able to feel the history the whole building went through. I think it is a must for people who want to know about the history of Vietnam

I do suppose that they could do better on their restaurant services. Their restaurant, of course, is not their main attraction.

Love the Hotel

Super close to center of everything and 5 mins walk to Da Lat Night Market. Breakfast included everyday. Friendly and kind staff.

Didn't set up the baby cod as requested.. I need to call to tell the staff to bring it in. I travel with my baby, I really needed to use the fridge to store baby food but the 5 ⭐ Hotel doesn't have one.

Special historical hotel that you must appreciate to see the value for money

Its location and grandeur is something else

The rooms at the back are very noisy and the beds have toppers and duvets that smell like people have been sweating in it. The staff acknowledged our complaint about that and upgraded us to another room where the duvets where removed, so the bed was quite hard but still better than smelly. All in all they made every effort in their way to please us. We had a nice stay but it’s only fair to realize that you pay a high price to be able to stay at such a special building that is very costly to be maintained in such an impeccable (albeit ofcourse outdated) state. We were a bit disappointed by Da Lat itself, we had higher expectations of the city and the surroundings. So in that perspective our stay at the Dalat Palace hotel turned out to be the highlight of our visit.

Disappointing. The hotel cannot continue to trade on former glories. Money needs to be spent.

Staff very professional attentive and warm.

The hotel needs some money spent on it. A modern lift needs to be installed. Locks to the door should be uprated. Some may think the key is charming. But it was a comical struggle to get it to turn in the lock all the time. New beds needed. Incredibly uncomfortable mattress - the softest i have ever tried to sleep on in many international hotels throughout the world. Very disappointing breakfast. Limited range of choice and not appealing to the foreigner customer. None of the kitchen staff coud understand the word "poached" as in "poached egg." Laughable really. Cheap and nasty toiletries in the bathroom. Shameful really.

Central location, close to night market, very nice gardens, impressive looking building.

Too many steps, no lift, outdated inside, not comfortable bedding, poor mattress not good for overnight sleep.

Disappointing

The view is wonderful. It is truly a French heritage. The location is also good, near Xuan Huong lake. You could ask for an ironing set to do it yourself.

* The fat woman stand in the reception and the old bellboy were not friendly to guests. They replied to our simple askings unfriendly and superficially. * No welcoming drinks when checking in. * The lights in our room were yellow lights so it was hard to see things clearly. * The TV in our room was set to play the hotel video whenever we turned it on, so difficult to change to the original television channel. * The pillows in our bed were so big but really soft, when you lay down, you could feel your head in the middle of the pillow with all the cotton inside moved to 2 sides. * The morning buffet has not met the level of the 5-star hotel, not having diverse types of food, only the basic with bacon, eggs, sausage, etc. * The food line and the drink line were located in different rooms, but the hotel did not give a sign to direct the guests.

Location, cleanness, lake view and services. We very much enjoyed the walk along the lake in early morning and late evening. Service was good, it did make us felt comfortable while staying

Breakfast food was not at the level of service provided. Late cancelled notice of the buffet breakfast making us confuse for the start.
