La piscine, la propriété et les personnes du ménage au top

À l’accueil on nous a rien expliqué du séjour, on nous a demander plusieurs fois notre pièce d’identité. Je me suis fais jeter les affaires à la piscine par des Russes. Aucun transat de disponible pour une nuit 200 euros c’est beaucoup trop chère et en plus nous avons que le petit dej de compris. Le candy bar est payant en plus d’avoir payer 200 euros les nuits vraiment ce n’est pas digne d’un 5 étoiles vraiment beaucoup trop chère pour ce que sait. Première fois que je vais dans un hôtel où j’ai même pas profiter de la piscine comme je voulais, et l’accueil était médiocre vraiment. Pas aimable du tout aucune consigne. Je ne remettrais plus les pieds dedans. Je parle même pas du parking catastrophique du jamais vue.

Overall, good.

The breakfast buffet had nice food. The hotel design is very very nice in my opinion. I loved the live music and general ambience in the evening. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom is very nice and the toilet flush is powerful! Haha. The service was overall good. The pool/sea view was beautiful to see the sunrise and sunset. Absolutely stunning. In the night, the pool area has lights which was also good. Moniya from housekeeping is very sweet and helpful. My Dad loved that you can smoke in the lobby so be mindful if that bothers you! There’s lots of tourist small shops just outside the hotel and the Sousse Médina is about 20-30 minute walk but a taxi using Bolt is much quicker for only 4.9 TND. We went to mosque Omar el Farouk which was a 15 minute walk.

No AC in February so we felt warm during the night. Room was old and we can see some old stains on curtains, sofa and bed frame. The dinner buffet food was disappointing and not wide range of selection and I was surprised they charged for water when we paid for the dinner in advance. However, the staff seemed understanding of our dissatisfaction with this but they were just doing their job. During breakfast, I did not like that when we asked the waiter for tea and coffee, he told us we can get it ourselves but when other European people asked, he got for them straight away. Seemed unfair. However he was only exception, the other staff were very kind and helpful.

Je ne recommanderai pas cet hôtel - expérience traumatisante

La gentillesse de certains employés (je précise bien certain) Khadija de la réception, Linda du restaurant japonais, Hamza (guest relation).

La propreté, cafard sur la table lors du petit déjeuner Le petit déjeuner est une horreur ambulante, les photos expriment très bien la situation. Salle de bain insalubre. Cet hôtel n’est pas digne d’un 5 étoiles - il faut au moins enlever une ou deux étoiles - Les normes de sécurités

Perfect Relaxing Break

Perfect Relaxing Break Beautiful location and hotel, the staff makes an exceptional experience and accommodated any adjustments. My Pregnant wife wrote the below review detailing our experience….we look forward to being back. THE HOTEL Before booking, I read the reviews and nearly got influenced by the negative ones and don’t normally write reviews. Our 5 day experience was incredible, Tunisians are generally so friendly, welcoming, open and Mövenpick by far the best hotel in Sousse. Its clearly respected by locals and lovely to see a few come in and out for meetings in the airy, grand lobby. Luxurious, genuine decoration and architecture and large enough to feel space from other guests, yet it’s at the centre of local life and amenities. There is a refreshing rotation of day and evening staff, yet still get a sense of an intimate service, especially if you make an effort to connect with some of them. ROOM Guest relations manager Mr Ahmed Hamza went beyond to accommodate my pregnancy needs with extra pillows, a comfortable bed and spoiled me and my husband with different fruits or flowers every day. Our room 7052, was spacious, the Classic Sea and Pool view was a paradise to wake up to every morning. Our allocated cleaner Milia, greeted us with a bright smile every morning and making sure everything was ok and spotless morning and evening. BREAKFAST & MAIN RESTAURANT To make sure I didn’t miss breakfast, my husband and Rachid at the daily breakfast service would make sure a plate and fresh fruits was sent up to the room. We had lunch at the main restaurant in the lobby once and the fresh fish was divine! Enjoyed evenings lounging on the large outside veranda where we interacted with our favourite waiter Nassim always extended himself by catering to my cravings with things off the menu. Most evenings we ate out at local restaurants to get an authentic taste of Tunisia and had coffee opposite the hotel at Franco Gelato’s.

Beautiful place waiting to be used to its full potential

Room was spacious, good view with a balcony, beautiful pools, good breakfast with good choices

Poor service, had to ask 3 times for my room to be cleaned. I saw that previous reviews have also pointed to the poor service. So I am not sure why action has not be taken. Management needs to find ways for motivating staff, recognizing good performance, etc.

Asked for a new bed sheet in the room as it was not clean, went to the pool for a swim expecting the sheet to be changed during that, came back to the room with the same sheet, only organized on the bed again

expensive to the offered service

- indoor pool is awesome - clean - food is delicious - some personal are great - indoor parking and safe place

- Booked a king size bed and they gave me two simple bed, it was really inconfortable and they didn’t want to change me another bed. - some personal are rude, the guy insulted my wife and two other ladies are shouting in tourists in Arabic and they didn’t even speak English. - i called the reception 5 times to give a king size bed as i paid for and they are always saying that we don’t have beds so they put some towels between the 2 simple beds which is rediculous. - no entertainment or animation are offered by the hotel, we paid so much expensive for just a room, half board food and pool.

2* at best - avoid if you can!

The hotel is very well positioned for the beach, and the facilities are as expected with large pools, restaurants/bars, and a spa. The beach and sun loungers are the selling point for this hotel. The WIFI was relatively good.

Overall the hotel is very dated and worn, it’s in need of a refresh with the rooms in particular. There is no way this is passable as a 5* hotel, as many many details are missing to bring this in line with other 5* competition around the world. Given this is a Swiss owned hotel the standards should be far, far higher. CLEANLINESS The hotel itself is not particularly clean.. I noticed a dirty ear bud in the corridor that was never cleaned away during our 3 day stay. The middle pool has green algae growing in it, and the Sun loungers are mouldy and stained. The indoor swimming pool has a strong sweaty smell and mould all over the roof. The bedspread in the room was stained and very old/faded. The gym was very dusty and had a dirty floor. STAFF As we checked in we were not shown any of the facilities and we had to ask many questions. We were interrupted in our room multiple times - the switch on the door was marked as “do not disturb” when we were in our room however on one occasion housekeeping let themselves in and still began trying to talk to us rather than immediately leaving. We also had banging on the door at 9am asking when they could clean despite the “do not disturb” being on. When we asked laundry to be picked up, this never happened despite us chasing via the phone. Upon checkout, no one asked us how our stay was.. FOOD The breakfast was very disappointing.. food was either cold or empty and everything was very low quality. The coffee and tea were dreadful and completely undrinkable. One day I had some tea which tasted only of chlorinated water. The staff were constantly clearing plates of uneaten food and drink and I can only imagine it was due to the disappointment from guests. ROOM Aside from the cleanliness, the lighting particularly in the bathroom was not good. There was a smaller mirror that was coming away from the wall and the light on it was broken. There was no hair conditioner provided.
