The hotel was beautiful and we could not imagine a better location. We were almost directly across from the New Gate to Old Jerusalem so it was easy access to all the sites, shopping, and restaurants. The rooftop view from the hotel as stunning. Staff was friendly and super accommodating. We absolutely loved this wonderful place.
We liked everything.

Loved the location, facilities, food, and staff! So, everything.

A gem in Jerusalem. Views spectacular. Proximity to New Gate. Rooftop restaurant delightful. Beautiful breakfast spread. FREE parking an incredible plus just steps from gate to old city.
Housekeeping needs to be a lot more quiet in the morning.
4.3
Excellent buffet breakfast
Across the street from the Old City/perfect location
Best hotel we have stayed in during our two weeks in the Holy Land-clean/friendly staff/comfortable beds
4.3
Beautiful historical architecture. Perfect restaurant with amazing cuisine on 4th floor. Magnificent view from rooftop on Jerusalem.
no TV, however this is not necessary)

good location
bathroom was very old with broken shower

Just next to New Gate and Jaffa Road! The semi-closed off area felt like an oasis in the city with a small bistro and cafe. Has a great roof-top restaurant with breathtakingly view of the old city. Staff is very kind and helpful, and has good English-speaking skills! The breakfast buffet was very good. Evening buffet also very good and varied.
Not enough parking-spaces available, with lots of tour-busses making entry even harder (both expected and manageable - but dont bring a car unless you absolutely have to!). Some of the rooms face Al Mozllen-road, but not too big a problem!

Location and ambience of location. Father David greeted us and we saw him daily ensuring guests were comfortable.
Rooms are@little small.

This hotel is a stone building and has a very nice atmosphere.
The room smelled badly from the drain. No TV, no refrigerator.
4.3
Incredible building. Nice hotel in the heart of occupied East Jerusalem
WiFi not great. Best down in the lobby, but third floor patchy
4.3
Location, staff and comfort. Very quiet and hospitable place
No TV in the rooms

The Cheese and Wine Restaurant was superb. Awesome views. Exceptional location. Beautiful rooms.
A bar would be lovely. Some may miss a TV, we didn't!

The location and access to the roof and the view. It was clean. Breakfast was decent. Staff was nice. The gift shop was priced very nicely. It was not loud at all and the room got dark.
The bathroom was insanely cold. The water was hot, but that didn’t help the moment you stepped out of the shower. It’s winter so not an issue on warmer days. The beds were so incredibly uncomfortable. The king was two twins and they were not the same. One was so hard that even I, and I love a firm bed, found it uncomfortable. The other bed was decent. The couch fold out for my son was in bad shape but comfy enough for a teenager.

Location is very good, very close to downtown, Old Town and the trams. The 360 rooftop has spectacular views and should not be missed. Wi-Fi and shower were both strong.
Very basic, almost ‘institutional’ level of presentation and comfort. Bedding is poor quality/cheap, ceiling fan is either hurricane force or off, in-room air con/heating was unresponsive, toiletries cheap, breakfast was plentiful and huge choice but not great quality. Service on reception is disorganised, and so excessively long-winded. On the whole, very poor value for money.

beautiful hotel and restaurant across the street to the New Gate into Old Jerusalem
4.3
location and building history /great views and terrace with a rooftop
the room itself was on the leaner side of things. two single beds merged together. old sofa /desks. no tv in all rooms. the bathroom could use some renovation work.

I liked the service that I received from all the staff.
The breakfast was great 👍 👌 😋

Amazing property, located just 2 minutes away from the New Gate to the Old Town, a must-go-place in Jerusalem. The hotel is an amazing building from the XIX century, with amazing views and facilities, located in a top place that enjoys incredible views of all East Jerusalem. The staff members were very helpful with us. The room was very clean, espacious, comfortable and with an incredible terrace with all its XIX-century style. Definitely a landmark on its own. The hotel is home to many Catholic people coming to see the land, which gives good vibes and highlights the importance of such area.
There are no words to describe the area, just walking through the New Gate, all the way down through the market until the Wall, with a huge confluence of cultures, languages and religions, which makes the Old Town in Jerusalem one of the best places I have ever visited.
Overall the property, staff, breakfast and room exceeded our expectations. Perhaps if I had to say something that would be that I missed a bit more kindness from the staff members in the reception. They were very willing to help but maybe a smile, or a "you are welcome" after the multiple "thank you" would have made it a bit more pleasant and not like we were annoying them :-). Regardless, they were very helpful and professional.

Location nxt to old city , the classic building and feeling of safety.
A bit more comfort for the price is not a luxury.
Evening closure of terrace restaurant certain week days might need some evaluation.
4.3
The best thing about this hotel is the location, wonderful view, wonderful building and just a cross the street from the new gate. Otherwise, there isn't much into it, and mostly not for this price.
The breakfast was not good. The room was very noisy and lack basic facilities, like TV.
