Fab staff and pub underneath. Manager was incredibly welcoming. Although it was a 15-20 minute walk into town, it was along the river so never a hardship. Lovely tidy room, although a tad on the small side (number 7) but had everything we needed for a one night stay. Others have complained about road noise but I can’t say it was a problem.
Shower opening was very small. I’m a size 12 and got in but you wouldn’t want to be much bigger to get through the tiny doors.

We arrived and our room wasn't prepared properly. I asked for twin beds and sent a reminder. The manager was not impressed when I inquired and said it would take 2 hours to rectify.
There was no toilet paper in the room.
The manger said he would refund some money - I am yet to see it.

The room was nice and well decorated, with all essential facilities and towels. We were supposed to stay in a small room that looked on a busy road, so it was quite noisy. With closed windows it was OK, though. Then (due to a power cut that caused the emergency light in the room to go off) the owner moved us in a larger room. He's been very helpful and kind!
You can have breakfast or a meal in the pub downstairs. From the pub you reach the city Centre in about 15 min, walking through the lovely Jesus Green.
Parking is not easy, but somebody from the staff explained us where to park in a nearby street (5 min walk) free of charge.

Our room was great - it was clean and roomy. Even though we overlooked the main road it wasn't noisy at all. The staff were all super friendly.
Absolutely nothing

Lovely room and very quiet. Very friendly staff and helpful.
Had a roast dinner which was very tasty but I felt slightly overpriced.
Veggie breakfast in the morning was amazing and very good value.

the hosts were lovely. the food was exceptional
rooms spacious.
nothing not to like. but if I was being picky the blind in the room was broken then toilet seat wasn’t fitted and the light fitting was coming away from the ceiling. However none of the above effect the stay

great location, was my local pub when I lived in the city… staff so welcoming and kind, room was small and cosy with the best smelling hand lotion in the world
perhaps could do with a mattress upgrade

The pub itself was nice
The massive (30cm) bright fire escape light located almost directly above the bed which stayed on all night, could not be turned off and lit up the room as bright as the bedside lamp did. Also not getting a reply when I emailed to complain about this before writing my review is disappointing. In addition the breakfast was not available, it was cancelled for the weekend.

very clean, good location, cozy pub downstairs.
The isolation is not very good, I could hear everything from the corridor and next door room. It wasn’t a big deal after 10/11pm ish..

Comfortable, good location, lovely dinner and cosy atmosphere in the bar
There wasn’t any breakfast as the cafe was closed for renovation

Made very welcome on arrival. The room was spacious, clean, well designed, comfortable and warm with a good shower. Would definitely stay here again.
A little noisy from the pub downstairs whilst open but not a problem after closing time.

Nice clean bathroom. Fast easy check in. Food when we eventually got it was amazing, chicken wings especially good!
No curtain on window, made waking up on new year's Day to a bright sun filled room very difficult. Clearly broken but hotel had not attempted to fix.
Fan dodgy, took a while to fix at 1am.
Ordered room service via app as following the instructions on the information card in the room, wanted quick snack of 2 sides and some drinks. After an hour, nothing. Partner called the main hotel to ask what was happening, they said "they wondered what that order was" and it would be right up when they make it. Did they not know their own instructions? It clearly stated to order through the app, adding 10 before your room number so the kitchen know it's a hotel booking. Maybe train staff again on this? As if we hadn't of chased this, they wouldn't have attempted to figure it out.

The staff were welcoming, and all lovely and helpful. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable. The bar seemed popular and lively. The location is ideal for a short walk into town along the river, and close to lots of local amenities. We had an evening meal on the first night in the bar and the food was absolutely delicious.
It would have been more convenient to have breakfast at the hotel, but due to staffing issues the cafe was closed. However, it was only a short walk to places nearby.
We didn’t have milk in our room to make a cup of tea but on the second night, one of the lovely staff fetched some for us.
The decor in our room, particularly the carpet, was looking a bit sad and shabby but we were told they are planning to refurbish soon. The bathroom was nice and our only issue was the sink, which was minuscule and made it really difficult to brush teeth or fill the kettle!

The vibe, the decoration all was there,it's a cute pub.
Our bed had,not a hole in the sheets but the bed itself, covered by those sheets,I had a very uncomfortable night trying to sleep my way around it. On top of that, the bead was placed next to an outer wall, and the pillows were wet from the condensation. Not a good night.
