It was fine for one night

Easy check-in - secure parking - comfortable beds

No dish soap, no cleaning cloths, no face cloths, non-stick frying pan horribly scratched, not enough cooking utensils, glass on table slides around easily and is a hazard for children

A cinco minutos de San José. Las instalaciones exteriores se ven muy bien, la parece bastante limpia. Íbamos de paso

Conocí este hotel en sus mejores tiempos. Los exteriores se ven muy bien. La habitación en que estuvimos desgastada, vieja, amueblaba con los mismos muebles de hace veinte o treinta años. Sus propietarios tienen una perla entre las manos; pero no lo está invirtiendo dinero a las habitaciones. El restaurante fue espectacular, excelente comida y ahora lo tiene cerrado. El desayuno es muy básico, ni siquiera tiene desayuno típico. Da pena que esta belleza de hotel no esté siendo gerenciada como se debe o que los propietarios estén escatimando en sus habitaciones. Quizás tengan otras habitaciones mejores; pero la que nos dieron, grande y espléndida, tiene todo para competir con buenos hoteles en San José. Los dueños podría re-invertir sus ganancias en este hotel y recuperar la gloria que tuvo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our dog was very comfortable here and we would stay again. In fact, this was our second

beautiful property, feels more like apartment living rather than a hotel. Pet friendly, lots of areas to walk your pet even though they prefer you to walk them off property, they don't have a problem if you walk them on-site. The all-day coffee machine, jacuzzi and pool and sauna are a big plus. The staff is wonderful, by the time we left, the staff knew our names and our dog. Gated entrance, and ample parking. Our room was cleaned everyday unless we requested otherwise. Easy to catch a cab or Uber. Front desk will call one for you if you ask.

The Jacuzzi and sauna are only available 10 a-6p. You have to request the sauna half an hour before you want to use it. Not a big deal. Its a bit far from everything.

Muy bueno el desayuno, las instalaciones muy bien cuidadas y lindas, el personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La piscina muy linda.

El menaje en la habitación ya es viejo, los muebles y aparatos se ven viejos.

Quiet location and OK for a one night stay before exploring Costa Rica

Very spacious, quiet location, cleanliness of a high standard, pleasant staff especially the guys working on the main gate. Free coffee in the morning and some basic savoury/sweet snacks.

There are a few reasons that I would not recommend a stay here for a San Jose experience. Firstly the location....not very close to the City which means Taxi, Uber or driving. Secondly despite the fact the accommodation has a kitchen there is very little provided that would enable you to cook a meal and no supermarkets in the immediate area without using some form of transport. The pool is OK but be prepared for big groups of locals who come for the day and totally take over the place with little respect for anyone else. Reception staff showed a general lack of interest and once again no local information given which seems to be the norm these days.

I had a good stay. It’s a large property, very friendly staff and helpful security guards on duty.

There was a small choice of pastries available, the coffee machine in the coffee area didn’t work on my second day.

Location and pool are ok. Master suite has a ton of space, a Kitchen with a big freezer and other equipment

Old and noisy bed, still comfy tho. TV and remote were broken so they had to move us to another master suite, smaller TV with a remote that wasn't working well. There's no restaurant, no bar, breakfast is just a couple of sandwiches, cookies or Muffins.

Good self catering option

Spotlessly clean & fresh towels daily, fantastic friendly staff, great outdoor jacuzzi/gym, small pool, sauna to use. Large apartment with plenty of space. Nice coffee and cake at breakfast.

Accommodation was great but needed taxis to see the tourist sights in the centre of San José and I didn't find any restaurants within walking distance, so it was a self catering option in the evening. If self catering perhaps a little more cooking equipment would be helpful.

Worn place in a dingy neighborhood

large room with 2 separate bedrooms, a kitchen and living area to hang out together

overall a very dingy place just like the neighborhood… rooms and amenities (sauna, pool, jacuzzi,…) are outdated. and we tried to avoid walkin in this neighborhood after dawn.

Good but could be amazing.

Having a pool and gym was great. The free coffee station in the morning. The building is beautiful.

We ended up swapping rooms partway through our stay because the hot water was not working in the first room. Although the overall feel of the hotel was good, the rooms could do with a good refresh. Also, the second room we moved into had not been cleaned for a while as simply walking around left your feet black. Although the rooms have a kitchen, you are severely limited in the kitchen equipment you are provided, so don't expect to make much more than a small breakfast.

It was a decent stay but not great.

Room was perfect

The fridge didn’t work except the freezer, The iron spit water onto my dress shirts instead of straight steam and the shower runs out of hot water to fast. Hot tub was not hot and when I came to this hotel to relax with peace and quiet the hotel maintenance workers were loud. The breakfast wasn’t that great either.

Was close to several destinations and is a property that is like living in a housing community. Clean and safe!

My room was basically a small apartment with washer and dryer. Dishwasher and Large fridge. Nice pool, suana and gym. Breakfast is good with good coffee! Security on site! Good value!

Outside the property is a lil rough, but inside is very secure!!

Like a princess castle - beautiful and romantic

Wonderful super quiet oasis close to the center - we could hardly believe that something that pretty would exist… Wonderful staff: Very helpful and kind and when there was a problem with our shower, they fixed it immediately. We also got to use the sauna: Amazing!

Okay, but need refurbishment

Outside installations and buildings look very nice. Person at the gate very friendly. Close to the ringroad.

Apartments are dilapidated and need urgently refurbishment to bring it back to Casa Conde standards. Old furniture, broken tiles, small shower, plastic like bed sheets.

I would stay again.

My room had a set of washer and dryer which was great. Friendly staffs, beautiful courtyard, and yummy breakfast were over my expectation.

Bed isn't too comfortable.
