Muy bien ubicado, cerca de paradas de autobuses y trenes, también cerca de restaurantes y bares, seguro y el trato de D Aída excepcional. Recomendado 100% para personas que busquen comodidad, tranquilidad a buen precio.

Todo estuvo de acuerdo con lo que esperaba.

Wonderful, friendly place in downtown.

It is a wonderful small hotel conveniently located in downtown San Jose, at a walking distance from everything you likely want to see in the capital, with good restaurants nearby. It is very safe, open 24 h, well taken care of, with a very pleasant, relaxing, friendly atmosphere. A great base to explore San Jose and have tours around. You can always expect help and good advice at this place. Strongly recommended.

Lugar tranquilo y seguro

La mujer que lo lleva es un encanto. La ubicación es excelente para poder dar una vuelta por el centro con seguridad. Cama comoda. Buen wifi.

Falta algo de insonorización en las habitaciones pero no resulto un problema ya que es un ambiente tranquilo

Highly recommend - private space

Perfect location (central but quiet), super clean, ideal for someone who wants private space. Aida (The owner) is so kind and helpful. Highly recommend staying in this guesthouse.

Exceptional

Spent one night in San Jose as my flight arrived in the evening. The hotel is located downtown and was a short walk from the bus station upon arrival and back to get a bus to my destination in the morning. The room reasonably priced, clean and the street noise wasn't too bad (no issues sleeping) given that it is located in the centre of a major city. I'll stay again if I ever need to spend a night in San Jose.

Very nice stay - totally worth it

The location of the hotel is great, it is super central right next to the national museum. The room was clean and good equipped. The hosts were really nice and always ready to help with questions etc. Also their Schnauzer is very cute.

For me it was a bit hard to figure out how the electric shower works at first, but I made it and there was a also an explanation about it in the room. After the first time it was easy and it heated quickly.

Very friendly staff, clean room and a very good location - I had a great stay there!

The owner of the hostel is a super super nice lady who shows a lot of effort to help you in all your demands! No matter if you have questions in terms of your onward journey or if you just need tips from a local. I „had“ to stay there for over one week because of stomach flu and I couldn‘t ask for a better place to stay at while being sick!! She also offered me a super delicious soup twice (a extraordinary sweet gesture!!), always asked for my well-being and overall she was really caring during my stay there! In addition, the room was very clean and the cleaners were super friendly and engaged :) I also really liked the location, 5 minutes walk from pharmacy, supermarket and about 5-10min. to the Central Street. Overall, my experience there was very very good! Una vez más: Muchas muchas gracias !!! :-)

Kind and friendly host, basic room but had everything necessary for a comfortable stay, hot showers, good location

Quite noisy but if you're staying in central San Jose I don't think you'll be able to avoid noise.

good value, friendly owners, & great location to museums

location to museums, parks, & Av. Central. Also, Aida - owner of property - very outgoing, knowledgeable, helpful, & friendly.

we had a room near the street it is a tad noisy- but it is also the city - cities tend to be noisy. If you have a car - parking is a tad confusing - but Aida was very helpful & even walked us to an overnight lot to show us where to park our rental for a good rate.

The owner is really pleasant and has a very cute and friendly dog. Very responsive as well. The location is practical when you are coming from the airport and are making a quick pitstop.

The WC is bit tiny and its bit difficult to manage the water temperature at the shower. The parking close by is around 5EUR per day and it's the only option around.

the location was perfect. in a quiet little part of city but right next to great spots to see. great restaurants right around the corner. shopping across the street. Aida was so incredible. she went out of her way to help me out which I really appreciate. definitely recommend.

Bedroom and bathroom clean and comfortable, and the owner is welcoming. Great location, and great price!

Even though I had a light blanket, I was a little cold during the night and I would have liked to have an extra one. But I am sure it is possible to ask for one if one stays for more than 1 night :)

Fabulous location, people, value and the place to stay!

Fantastic location, you cannot get better when in San Jose City. Right opposite the National Museum and a 5 min walk downtown and to everything of major interest. loved the owner of the property and the juice bar next door for breakfast. great value for money. I want to thank the owner of this property for her amazing kindness. I left a necklace of great sentimental value and she was in touch constantly so I could try and recover it, despite my travelling around. people don’t do that across the world, so this was an act of kindness that speaks volumes about this property and the owner and family who live there. i can’t recommend this place enough. especially if first time in San Jose or travelling solo.

got a bit cold, but the owner is more than happy to give extra blankets and asks you on arrival. Take the extra blanket just in case as weather can be unpredictable.

great location and value for money

The property felt secure and safe. You could walk to downtown easily, there was a restaurant 2 mins away and also a bakery just round the corner. I was only here for a night. The owner was really friendly and had a cute dog and great value for money. Would recommend to anyone particularly a solo traveller. I had a double room and slept well.

The shower was cold.
