The staff was very friendly and accomodating and they took a really great care of us. I forgot my Kindle in the room and I expected it to be lost for good, but they mangage to deliver it to my friend's hands in Marakesch. That was quite impressive and I am very grateful!! We also met some really cool guests there.
There was a mishap with our reservation.

It was honestly the best, the guy who is responsible is very hospitable and kind , the terrace view is absolutely amazing especially at night , the rooms were so clean and spacious and not far away from the main road , i highly recommend this place for couples and groups of friends and even solo travelers .

We had such a wonderful stay at Dar Adouss. Lahcen and all the staff were so helpful and kind. We were also served a lovely tajine for dinner :) I could have easily stayed for much longer. It was so beautiful. Wonderful views, comfy beds, kind people :) Thanks again!!!

Dar Adouss is a simple Berber guesthouse in a village about 15–20 minutes' walk from the main street of Imlil. The building itself is a typical brown multistorey house, with two floors for guests and a basement kitchen. Everything is a bit rustic, predictably, but my room had a decent bathroom with reliable hot water, and the blankets were nice and warm on two cold winter nights. Breakfasts are typical and basic (msammen, bread, a boiled egg plus jam, butter, honey and tea) but satisfying. There's also a terrace with views but it was so rainy while I was there that it couldn't be used, so breakfast was in the basement. The man who ran it while I was there was friendly and helpful.
When I visited the sign pointing off the main road to Dar Adouss was damaged and unreadable (they said it had been vandalised by youths) and so I spent about 45 minutes wandering around desperately looking for it. Contrary to what some online maps say, Dar Adouss is not on the Imlil–Tamatert road; you need to head off the road (at the vandalised sign) and take a donkey/pedestrian track next to an irrigation channel, then cross a small bridge over a wadi to reach the guesthouse. The track itself is unlit at night so you will need your phone's torch for the 5-minute walk.

- Beautiful view
- Good Tea
- Hot water in the shower
- Close to trekking paths
- Basic breakfast, tea, one egg, some bread, some Jam. Not necessarily nutritious if you want to have energy for spending a day in the mountains. If I asked for additional egg I was told they have just one egg per guest. The same day I bought them 10 eggs to avoid hunger next day. Aziz prepared me the the 4-eggs omelette afterwards What satisfied me much.
- They do overbooking! When I came it turned out the room I booked is occupied already. I booked specificaly this Room and paid more comparing to other available rooms. Other guy had same booking reservation which was really wierd! When I asked the reason, Owner shared different history, stuff said something else and the person I chatted though the booking said something different. Browsing opinions in the internet was not the first time. Finally, They proposed other Room for one night and dinner for free which was good experience. Finnaly confused me when wanted to charge me during check out for the dinner which supposed be on them.
- In the evening and during the night was quite cold I asked host to put some wood and fire in fireplace in shared space. I was told they do it only when is snow outside.

The view
I was put in a different hotel for the first night due to overcapacity.
Where do I start. The landlord was rude and alienating on my arrival (perhaps because I didn't need a guide or any other up sells?).
The room was dusty and the sheets were dirty.
The previous guests towel was left hanging on my window and the plumbing in the bathroom needed to be reconnected.
No toilet paper.
The pillows on the bed were literally like sacs of cement.
The whole place is dilapidated. Everywhere you look, something needs to be repaired.
Also bring ear plugs as there is a rooster directly outside the house and the windows do nothing to sound proof.
Finally, to add insult to injury, when asked about my stay, I said that the dust in the room gave me really bad allergies and the landlord got offended, said it was his family home and then refused to acknowledge me when I left.
Absolutely ridiculous that this place has a high rating - it's genuinely one of the worst places I've ever stayed.
By Moroccan standards the breakfast was forgettable.

booked and was charged for a place that was not available! had to go there and get the money back. place looks a bit run down - not recommend!

Quiet neighborhood about 1 km away from Imlil center. Good value.
Ignore your nav app directions. Call for instructions or take the road east from Imlil center for 1 km, park just before Riad Oussagou, then walk north (left) on a level concrete path following a water canal.
Maintenance and cleaning can be improved.

perfect Mountain View from the room and nice breakfast. wonderful hospitality. super clean, hot water is strong enough, they also provided dinner with good price. they are super considerate, things are on time. staff prepared breakfast on the terrass early morning. when it’s too hot, he will arrange the breakfast indoor! food are good. it was a super nice deal. I will definitely come back !!! worth money. they let me wash my cloths and even gave me the washing powder.
the room is clean and cozy, very quite at night. highly recommend

the place is a little far from town considering that it‘s uphill so 1km becomes quite a walk in the heat, BUT it‘s worth the effort. Once you get there you are in the middle of nature surrounded by pure daily Moroccan mountain life.
Assis was an amazing host always making sure we have everything we need and Lahssen the owner helped us whenever we had any questions.
We were a five people occupying two rooms in the middle floor- those rooms were all very nice. The ones downstairs were little different but I‘m not referring to these.

I booked the day itself, quiet late (due to unforeseen late return from a hike, decided to stay the night in Imlil), and the host contacted me immediately, very god hospitality, explaining well where to meet.
The stay in the "Dar" felt really as home ("Dar" means house, for those who didn't know yet) & you're immediately heartly welcomed in a cosy nice family ambiance.
I slept as a rose & enjoyed a wonderful local breakfast as well.
Note: just to advise if you consider to stay at Dar Adouss, is that the house is located in a village neighborhood at the border of Imlil, so a few 100 m walking from the road (no access by car to the house). But this short walk is actually lovely (see picture). Also the host came down the road to meet me there, so i got very easy to the house.
The time of the year: in January the mornings are of course too chilly to enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace, enjoying the stunning view of the valley, which would have made my stay even more adorable. A reason tp come back next time ;-)

We had a 2 night stay at the place. Mr Lahcen and his family were so welcoming, generous and helpful. We enjoyed the stay so much as the place were located in a quiet area with a beautiful landscape of the Atlas mountains. It was truly an immersive experience into nature. We highly recommend this place and thank Mr Lahcen so much for his generosity and hospitality.
