Breathtaking landscape embraced by mountains and orchards filled with walnut, cherry, fig, and apple trees. The warm and welcoming hospitality of Hoosen and Hassan that made us feel right at home. Nothing was a problem and they went out of their way to help, always with a smile. Abdulkabir the manager was incredibly supportive in arranging hikes and guides, with a special recommendation for the Mount Tassamul hike.

Friendly and helpful staff but not over bearing. Central location but felt private. Good shower, plenty of hot water. Clean.
Room could have been higher spec but was right for the price.

The place is very beautiful and the decorations are innovative and express good taste. The treatment of the staff is very elegant, especially Hussein, who showed great interest and a great welcome. The city left a beautiful memory because its people are kind and the scenery is beautiful, especially the waterfalls.

The location is exceptional. surronded by mountains, flowing rivers, greenery and lots and lots of birds. We got royal treatment from Lahoucine Aziam. He makes an excellent “Berrad” of berber mint tea that is sure to delight any one. You get a nice reception with tea and sweets in the outdoor sitting area. Truly enchanting. we fell in love right then and there. Then the team took our luggage up flights of stairs to the Imlil room. Beautiful biews on the very cold pool below, river and mountains. You take a shower looking at snow on the Toubkal! The hotel has multiple sitting areas nestled everywhere, furnished with moroccan coaches and berber rugs. The food is great too. Lahoucine Boudchich, the kitchen guy, served us a phenomenal breakfast. These guys are all local Berber folk. Very nice and welcoming people and both the place and food are authentic. We slept like logs as the air is pure and the river sound is literally hypnotic. The village and overall region has so much potential as well. We climbed to the falls and you can enjoy the tajine by the falls. The village folks are also so nice. You can buy fresh grass fed meat from the local butcher a minute from the hotel and get it charcoal grilled for literally a few Dollars and feast. We’re definitely coming back for a much longer stay.
The steps to get to your toom are definitely not up to western code. VERY high, so please be VERY careful as you can easily trip.

our best stay by far in Morocco. we took a deluxe room on the second floor which offered great views both up and down the valley from two balconies. the bed was very comfortable. however it was the staff who provided our strongest memories. nothing was too much trouble. special thanks to hussein, particularly on our final day when our hire car had a flat tyre. he changed it for the spare which was also flat, but then organised for the tyres to be take. to the nearest garage about 40 minutes away and then refitted them… honestly we couldnt thank him enough! we ate here twice and each time the food was brilliant. the riad also provided us with a guide which I would strongly recommend. we had Omar, who was absolutely great and took us on an unforgettable circular hike around the Berber villages and waterfalls. absolutely superb.
nothing… just we aware that the stairs are steep and there is no lift. but then everywhere in imlil is up or down steps or slopes!

Loved the smin....good variety. But would have loved barley porridge ( shisha?)
The staff was great.
Instead of plattered Westernized chicken, rice and vegetables, would have preferred a traditional tagine ( we lived in the Imlil Valley and the tagines served to us in homes were delicious...I missed that)

The room was a tiny little too warm in the night due to amazing underfloor heating.

Location was excellent, warm friendly welcome . The underfloor heating was a blessing in the snowy conditions that we experienced. The food was plentiful and excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. Essoine in particular was a great help in parking my car securely in difficult wintry weather. He also arranged the hire of winter boots for my wife and I at no extra cost which allowed us to do some local walking.
Nothing not to like

Spacious and beautiful rooms, with amazing views of the kasbah. The furnishings are very pretty. The swimming pool must be a plus in the summer. It is definitely the best hotel in the village.
We were fine, but if stairs are an issue for you, it might not be ideal.

For the price, we were really pleased with the size of our rooms. The whole dar has a lovely atmosphere with lots of different places to sit and admire the views, and a really nice pool too. The meals in the evening are worth staying in for, and the staff were really helpful with getting us to the private car park.

Super charming place amidst the Atlas mountains, very authentic and welcoming. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made us and our kids feel at home within seconds. Breakfast and diner were fingerlicking good, all this in a fairytale scenery, with on top of all that, a refreshing pool to cool down after a abreathtaking walk in the mountains.... don't hesitate!
