A resort with the best beach I've ever been so far

The resort staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The beach is seriously one of the best I have been so far. The food and cocktails are great. I also enjoy that all restaurants (and the spa) did not require to make reservations beforehand. The Playa del Carmen town is also around 30 minutes away. Additionally, the complementary shows were nice.

Although the buffet restaurant is nice, it could have a bit more of variety.

The Secret is out! Definitely going back.

Lots of fun activities, good food with lots of options. The staff was extremely friendly and always seemed happy.

The AC was not as cold as we would have liked, but the staff provided a fan when we notified them.

Cost/value very low in general terms. Is not a 5 diamonds hotel at all.

Food, and staff service

Is not all-inclusive, they have extra charges for all, 100 USD for beach beds, 130 USD for round airport transportation for 2 persons (no shuttle service), spa service, wine bottles, etc. The architecture es very ugly/basic looks like normal city condos, restaurants are very far from rooms. TVs are very old, are not smartTVs (common if you say that you are 5 diamonds), WiFi is VERY VERY poor in terms of velocity (if you try take a meeting o just see videos).

Amazing food at the Asian restaurant and at the Sea Side restaurant. Staff polite, friendly and professional as a 5 stars should be. Staff very efficient. Common areas clean. Room clean and private concierge very efficient

App didn’t work properly. Housekeeper could do a bit more and better. Minibar not as per standards in a 5 stars hotel

The staff was top notch. Great pools (perfectly heated). Complimentary hydrotherapy.

We've had better food and drink at another 5 star all-inclusive. To get premium pool seating you needed to wake up at 7am.

nice stay, enjoyable, but didn’t live up to the hype

the grounds and pool were beautiful, the activities were varied and fun, the buffets were good,

the beach was gross, there were not enough pool chairs, we weren’t given the room we booked, the lunch restaurant by the pool was not good, it felt like things were opened later than expected and closed earlier-like being in the pool in the shady part of the day at 4-5 and we were being herded out.

Beautiful resort!

Staff was wonderful! Food was outstanding. The resort is on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach.

One of the smoking areas was located along side of building 12 so it was hard to enter our room without getting a face full of smoke.

Exceeded Our Expectations

Loved loved loved this place! Abosulty stunning and above and beyond in terms of customer service and facilities! There was always something to do....you never even need to leave the resort. There was a show or 2 every night and plenty of surprise activities/events during the day. Our concierge (Roberto) and the pool concierge (Alex) and server's (Daniel and Elliot) took amazing care of us! We felt so spoiled and blessed during our stay...we were sad to leave.

Amazing property with exceptional staff!

Staff were exceptional. The food, drinks, entertainment, pool, and beach were phenomenal. This was our second time here and plan to be back. We’ve been to many 5 star resorts and Secrets Maroma Beach is the only one we’ve come back to and plan to be back!

We had a miscommunication during check in that resulted in us waiting 2 hours for our luggage to be delivered to us.

Everything is gorgeous, clean, and well taken care of. The resort didn't feel over crowded and there was enough space for everyone.
