Room was immaculate, location was great. Food also generally really good. Hosts are all lovely, especially Michelle.
They could do with swapping out their spinach on the vegan breakfast, it tasted like it was tinned rather than fresh. Could even simmer it with tomatoes and freeze it if frequency is the issue.

The location overlooking the estuary
We stayed in room number 1, but the room above had really creaky floorboards so we got woken up a few times

Fabulous hotel. Decorated to a high standard, very cosy and little touches like an espresso machine, biscuits & water in the room added to the charm. Staff is first class and very welcoming. Food is delicious and the beer & wine selection is outstanding. Seriously, we couldn’t have had a better experience. We’ve had one of the best meals here - we didn’t want to leave.
We loved everything. Thank you.

One of the best we stayed in the last few years.
Amazing design of the room and lights, very comfortable bed (!!!), bed linen and toileters (such nice smell). Nice bathroom and view from the windows. Small fridge and everything that we needed. This was almost perfect stay.. Too short and just few small things.
It is not about what we didnt like, but small hints.. there was a small problem with door (they were slightly moving each time someone in the hotel was opening or closing their door..and with leaking stopper during perfect bath. And it would be helpful if widows would not be so hard to open or shut. But these are just details.

Amazing location with a fantastic view of the harbour and of Instow opposite. Beautifully decorated, clean rooms with really comfortable beds and lovely additions including proper coffee and biscuits, lovely scented bathroom products, and additional snacks available for a small fee. Attached to a lovely pub with really friendly staff, and a great quiz every Sunday! Would return to stay here every time. We loved it.

Lovely public areas. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location with parking.
The bedroom. Room 8. The window was glazed so I was unable to see out. It felt claustrophobic. No bedside lamp or light over the head of the bed. Then the day before I was leaving, someone asked me when I was checking out! I was in the bar at the time and it was humiliating. People listening and 3 members of staff around me. Thankfully I found my booking online to prove that I was booked in for another night

This hotel is perfectly placed for the SW Coast Path walk in the beautiful town of Appledore. The room was warm and the water hot with great tea, coffee facilities; however, the mattress in our room was super firm and we couldn't access wifi at all. Although we didn't eat at the hotel, the food (other diners') we saw there looked fabulous.
Lack of Wifi access, but I think this was just a blip as everything else was very good.

Did not eat in the restaurant - too expensive!

Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Food was fresh and of good quality. Late check out by 1 hr was easily agreed.
Emergency green light above my bedroom door, apparently and Health and Safety requirement BUT it lights up the entire room - H&S rules gone crazy. We can now find the door at anytime but you cant sleep!!!

Excellent location, friendly staff. Dog friendly
Unfortunately had an issue with my breakfast on the morning of departure, found some blue plastic in middle of the sausage (this was a supplier quality issue I might add, not due to the Seagate Kitchen staff), however this did leave a bit of a negative experience to end the stay

Nothing to dislike. Our coffee machine didn't work in the room but the staff were brilliant and made us coffee all morning 😀
