Great place to stay in Puerto Lopez

The best about the hostel is the staff. Maria and Osvaldo are such a nice couple, very attentive, helpful and friendly. Puerto Lopez is very safe to walk, and so, despite not being quite in the center, Alcazaba was close to it, in a quiet part of town, and easy to reach walking or by moto-taxi (-1$). We felt at home. At first we were staying one night and ended up staying almost a week. There is also a small kitchen we could use, a refrigerator and potable water.

Lovely hosts, beautiful view from the rooftop with many hammocks available. Nice and tidy rooms. 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Good breakfast available. Wonderful stay!

They were the most amazing hosts, letting me in my room at like 6 in the morning as my bus arrived so early. Never stayed in a cleaner Hostel! Definitely recommend it ☺️

Decent place to stay in Puerto Lopez

Very nice owners, and convenient place to stay in Puerto Lopez. It is a little further from the harbour but it is still doable to walk or take a tuc tuc

Basic accommodation.

We don't like the area and Puerto Lopez is very dirty city a lot of trash and plastic on the streets all around and a lot of dogs! Not very tourist friendly area.

Clean sheets BUT TOO LOUD

Maria and Osman do were very helpful. The sheets linens were clean. The shower was hot.

The bathroom smelled like something died in it. I don't know if it's mold or what, but the smell permeated the room for three days. Dogs were barking and roosters were crowing at ALL HOURS. Then, at 8:30 AM on Sunday, a neighbor was BLASTING MUSIC. For two nights, I woke up because of the noise. This is unacceptable.

Super nice hospitality!

Oswaldo and Maria were super friendly and very helpful. The room was good with a great view of the sea. We also booked a whale watching tour through them.

Little kitchen. Breakfast was Eggs, 2 slices of Toast and Banana + coffee or tea and a juice.

Loctated outside the city Center. about 20min Walk down to the promenade.

Pleasant stat with a view over sea. The room was comfy and the owners took good care of us :) I can recommend!

Be prepared that the hostel is situated by an unpaved road.

1. There was a problem with my booking so I was in this weird, unkept room with holes in the walls right next to a loud rooster. The room was not even in the hotel, it was next to it. They apologized and moved me into the hotel the next night 2. Not very social

Very good

The place was great, spacious and clean room in good condition, good shower, good bed. The hammock area and rooftop are a nice addition. The staff was very friendly and the hostess gave me a lot of aloe vera for my bad sunburns, which worked wonders!

It's a little further out from the beach and malecon but the distance is doable.

Simple but clean rooms. The hostel has a nice terrace with ocean view, nice for a beer at night

Maria is the kindest host we have met in a long time. She is super caring and friendly and we were kind of sad to leave her.

Very friendly staff. Usable kitchen Good view from the terrace Budget options for solo travelers. Ample parking.

Rooms get hot as there is no A/C option (but a fan is there, don't worry :) )

The road to the hotel is really bad, sandy and rugged The roosters behind the hotel crowings before dawn are very annoying

A great place to stay in an uninspiring town

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and the shower hot. The terrace with hammocks and swing was a super place to watch the sunset. The kitchen was clean and adequate for cooking.

Breakfast wasn't up to much, especially as I'm vegan... Pillows too hard. Noisy area, like the whole town really! To go into town or to the beach it was necessary to catch a tuk tuk most of the time. Walking around the town was not much fun and it's not a nice place at all. This hostel was a bit expensive for the town, but there's not much competition here...
