Well located at middle of the city near to many tourist attraction, walking distance to malls, the river, and jetty. Very knowledgable and helpful host to give tips and guide on local attractions. Simple stay to rest and recharge for budget travelling.
Reception might not be present at all time and can be quite a wait for them. The room is a bit stuffy, so its suitable to just crash, sleep, recharge.

The tenant is really nice. The room are cheap so ideal for a tiny budget. The location is really great. Closed to everything in town. Many restaurants around as well as a food shop.
The hotel is really noisy. The radio was turning all day really loud (up to late in night). The walls are thin dividers so you can hear everything from adjoining rooms. The hotel is not providing bed sheets but a simple plaid as blanket. There were not toilet paper in the toilets and the shared bathroom is in a kind of laundry room not really clean. And my room smells cat piss...

The location is decent.
The owner was not available almost always, staff was not always present, if they were, they were unable to assist. The owner did not treat guests equally and was not timely or clear with communication. A highly frustrating experience.

Great location. Super friendly staff and a good place to meet other travelers. KD is a very lovely person and always happy to give tips and advice on things to do around Kuching! I will definitely be back when I’m next in Kuching!
Very thin walls so can hear the people in the next room/at reception late at night. Not much in the way of a common area due to lack of space.

It's very central, an easy walk to the waterfront, Carpenter Road and Borneo Culture Museum. As a female solo traveler I could connect to many nice people and the hostel staff is providing information about the main activities in Kuching, how to take public transport etc.
Staff is not always there, somehow difficult to be contacted in real time.
I hoped the shared bathroom would be cleaner, it looked like it wasn't cleaned everyday.
My room was near the common space at the lobby, I was lucky because other guests were sleeping early, otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully since you can hear nearly everything around you. Overall it's fair for what you pay.

The other backpackers and the bar across the road 😂
Location is good. Felt safe. They had a good list of tours to do.
Shower facilities were not good.
no hot water..
Staff were never around. I honestly could have left without paying.. if you don’t mind it rough.. go for it

They provide useful information about attractions in and away from Kuching.
The room has no window, but at the same time it can never be dark as there are some glass tiles and the light comes in from the corridor all night. The walls are so thin you can hear every word people in the next room or the reception area say, and as it is also a common area - whether you like it or not - you have to listen to the discussions there till late at night. You can also feel every step of the people in the room upstairs. I had doubts if the bed sheets were clean. They didn't feel like clean. The showers are not clean and there is hardly any room to clean your teeth but two very small (and dirty) washbasins in the corridor.

Very comfortable rooms, Khadijah is very friendly and available on whatsapp. Showers are clean, and in the kitchen, there's always bread, spreads, coffee and water available for free. Location was also great, only 5 mins walk from Padang Merdeka and Merdeka Plaza Mall. There is a bar, 7-11, and eateries just within walking distance.
No power plugs next to bed, only next to the door, so everyone has to charge far from their beds.

The location of the hostel is perfect, 10 minutes walking to the riverside and easily accessible from the road.
Only one bathroom in the upper floor.

KD is the most helpful and friendly hostel owner I’ve met, she went out of her way to make the guests have a great experience and arranged tours, buses, car rentals for us and was so accommodating to my changing plans. The hostel is in a great location- short walk to the waterfront, museums, bus stops and restaurants. Even though there isn’t much sitting space I found it easy to meet other travellers and KD even cooked a group dinner one night. I can’t recommend QuiikCat enough!

I had such a great time staying at this lovely and cozy hostel, and ended up staying here for 8 nights. The owner of the place, KD is the most amazing, warm and caring person, and just goes out of her way to help her guests in every single way. Everything from helping me to the doctor to arranging a celebration of my countrys (Norway) constitution day🥹 She really made me feel like home, and I cant thank her enough for everything she did❤️
Her hostel is also super cute and charming, and you can really feel all the love and passion she puts into it. Its always perfectly clean, and has free breakfast with tea and coffe, and KD often buys fruit for the guests as well❤️ The location is also great, in walking distance to all the tourist places, restaurants etc. KD is also happy to help with planning trips and activities, and she knows a lot about the city and things to do.
It was so sad to leave this place cause I really felt like home, hope to come back someday. Thank you so much for everything KD, you are truly a beautiful and special person❤️ Keep up the great job youre doing!
If you ever go to Kuching, this is the place!😻

The owner is incredible. So friendly and helpful. The location is great, it's so close to the water front. İ didn't not like anything. İt matches it's price bracket. İ would happily stay here any time.

KD, the owner, she was the sweetest and nicest person we've met in Malaysia, and we met many nice people! She was so helpful and always open to do things. We've spent some time with her and her friends. The QuiikCat was always clean, the bed was comfy and we had aircon. If I ever go back to Kuching I will stay in Quickcat again! :)

I like the lighting in the bedroom. It's not too shiny but a warm orange lights. Also, the place is like a typical Malaysian house. I feel like I'm living in my grandparents' house.
Maybe put a foot cloth outside of the bathroom as I fall from the stairs on my way back to my room after taking a shower (it's ok I'm still alive XD just some bruises on my arm and back but it's quite painful for sure).

Staff is very kind and helpful, real backpack atmosphere.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend a place where I spent 2 aweful nights...between a busy crossroad with motorcycles all night long and a bar with loud music (walls were vibrating) up to 2am, hard to wake up fresh in the morning...
Facilities are very basic
