Very good facilities, including an oven in the kitchen which is not common within hostels that I’ve stayed at previously. Clean rooms and bathrooms. This is a smaller hostel so it’s a great option for people that work.

Very unexpectedly nice and homey hostel in St Kilda, definitely the best one I've been in Melbourne (that I've discovered exactly while I was ready to leave the country!). The room are spacious, there's a big rooftop and a lot of people are actually living in there, and that's creates some ''home's vibes''! It's possible to have a weekly rent.
Kitchen could get a bit busy sometimes

It is really good located. The kitchen was fine, they have place for everyone who wants to cook and a lot of thing to use. It was really familiar, but we were only for 3 nights.
It said that they offer free breakfast and they don’t. The shower was cold and hot and then cold again, it was hard to take a shower considering it was really cold outside. They have a lot of stairs that don’t appear on photos ( we were with big and heavy luggage). The bed were really noisy, I was in top bed and make a lot of noise when I climb it.

Staff and the other backpackers was really kind and very good with me help me a lot.
There are no outlets or extensions for each bed so it's hard to recharge your electrical devices. The extensions are very far from the cabins.

Management is really helpful and always tried to help me book a bed even though the hostel was quite packed.
It's a small hostel (small common areas) and it feels even smaller because it was full of people. Small kitchen, so it can get tricky to cook sometimes, but still doable.

Nice and quiet hostel.
The kitchen was dirty and sticky most of the time.
1.0
the large entrance area with workspace, TV corner and billiard table actually looks inviting
it smelled of dog, disgusting sanitary rooms, much of the equipment has been broken for ages, no staff during the day, and if nevertheless findable, then helpless and without any know-how. sad.

The breakfast was normal. Need to wake up earlier so that there is breakfast left. Good location.
The bed and the room are dirty. The toilet has some smell which feels like not be cleaned for a long time.
To add on for my review after viewing the reply from the property:
Me and my friends are those who moved out due to the uncomfortable environment, it's sad that the staffs can't accept the truth of our review but keep critising us. However, the location is good.

The staff went out of their way to help me when I needed it.
I got home late from a competition I was participating in. Got to the room, where there were two new people. We chatted for a while, then I fell asleep. I was woken up by the others saying they couldn't sleep with me there. I was told by the others to leave the room, which I did, with all my gear. I lay on the couch near Reception till one of the staff helped me with my stuff to go to a different room. He went out of his way for me. I really appreciated it. Thank you.

Stuff was helpful and friendly.
Very dirty, looks scary from the outside, mouse running in the kitchen, uncomfortable bed = I could feel the springs.
8.0
Good vibes with friendly people (staff and roommates). Included breakfast was defs a plus. Also handy having free parking nearby.
Breakfast could have been earlier and had honey involved.
Pillows were thin and cheap polyester. Everyone was tossing and turning the first night.

There’s a mouse that runs around the kitchen and through the pots and pans (has been like this for months now). There’s a lot of restrictions. Owner picks and chooses who he interacts with in a respectful manner

nothing really sorry
- dirty
- not quite safe street
- pretty old place
