We had a wonderful stay! Gianna so good to us! She gave us great advice and helped us book activities. Felt like home away from home!

Fabulous hostess Gianna. Quirky Fort building. Lovely deep swimming pool. Delicious breakfast.
Nothing not to like !
8.0

Tudo perfeito

pretty awesome place at the edge of town (but within very easy walking distance to everything). Robert (owner) is very helpful and can arrange tours. the glass bottom boat tour was inexpensive and great value for the money! definitely recommend this one! we would definitely stay here again. great breakfast as well

Absolutely loved the place, would definitely recommend. Roberto was extremely helpful and full of lots of great tips and information. Breakfast was great. The property itself is also unique. Location is a short walk from the main town.
Nothing, our stay was perfect.

The host was truly amazing and the hospitality top notch.
This was truly a unique place with spectacular views from the top of the Fort.
The pool was amazing and refreshing after a hot day of sight seeing.
Location was a bit further than some other places but really not a problem with an easy and safe walk to the heart of the town.

Place itself is a bit quichy, but very quiet and nice to relax not far from the town and the port. Nice owner speaks fluent english and is always ready to help. They serves good breakfast with fresh pastry and fruit.

I loved the layout and design of the property . The location for me was great as it was quiet (there are roadworks going on at the moment, but that is temporary) and a short walk to town.
The owners Geanna and Roberto were very helpful and welcoming to me and took care of anything that I needed. They were also able to help arrange tours that I really wanted to do with an excellent good local guide and boat.
I also loved to have breakfast with visiting and birds hoping to find a crumb!
I wouldn’t hesitate to return to the Fortaleza de Haro!
Nothing at all.

We could not have asked for a better location and host for our stay in the Galapagos. Gianna was so warm and welcoming and even helped set us up with day trips at better rates than we were able to find online or in town. There is absolutely nowhere else I would rather stay. Also the castle tower is sweet!

Apart from the fun of staying in a castle, this accommodation is top notch!
It is located next to the park with an abundance of quiet (except for the songs of the various birds) with a beautiful view. (See the picture I took while writing this review. I am in one of the hammocks from our balcony.). It is a safe 10-15 minute walk to the malecon or a $1.50 cab ride.
We stayed in the tower of the castle (I highly recommend) where each room is different; however, they are all very clean. The small details have not been forgotten (shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, refrigerator, cork screw, hammock, hot showers, etc). The beds are quality.
The breakfast is complete with made to order eggs, bread, fresh fruit, coffee, juice. . . all good.
The hostess, Gianna, is happy to share her knowledge and ideas of what to do and how to do it.
We only booked 2 of the 4 nights we were going to be in town. After exploring other options, we knew we had picked the best place for us—we ended up staying all 4. The price, location, cleanliness, and staff all made our stay in Santa Cruz perfect.
Just to write something here because no place is 100% perfect: Wifi in the room was weak a few times, but usually strong.

We had a wonderful stay at La Fortaleza del Haro. We booked the Tower for a couple nights and enjoyed the epic views from the patio. The location is great as it’s off the main touristy area so it’s quiet, but it’s only a short walk to the main strip. We had an early flight to catch our last morning and the owner was nice enough to leave us a to go breakfast since we were leaving before breakfast hours.
I did not like not having enough time to enjoy the patio and pool. I guess we’ll just have to book another trip.
