Been before and the location is lovely, beautiful hotel and surroundings
The staff at breakfast need further training, slow and slightly rude

The welcome was lovely, the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had lunch from the Tapas menu in the gorgeous cosy bar, which was delicious. We met up with friends and came back for dinner, which was great. Our room was lovely, with a very nice bathroom. We did not take advantage of the jacuzzi bath - maybe next time!
We were very happy with our stay.

Rooms suites were big compatability of bed was excellent very clean.
Staff were A+very friendly could not do anoth for u.
El Cart restaurant was bit pricey and not alot to choice from.
Been few times and I can say menu for years back was better.
4.3
Nice setting, good facilities and polite and helpful staff. Lovely room and comfortable and clean.
Lacked a couple of storage facilities in room but that was the only quibble.
4.3
It’s location.
The room we booked which was the deluxe suite was very basic. There was very large brown stains on the ceiling where water had previously flooded through the ceiling. The bed sheets had a number of stains on them.
4.3
Well positioned and attractive building well maintained.
Our one night stay was marred by two dogs barking loudly and eventually howling directly below our bedroom window for two hours from 9.30pm to 11.30pm totally preventing any relaxation let alone sleep. They sounded to be inside a vehicle with open windows or restricted in a pen. I booked this expecting a comfortable and upmarket night after a family wedding involving a five hour drive from Wales. I cannot recommend this experience at all. Staff ought to have been aware of the very loud barking and taken action. Since there was no other car in the residents car park it seems likely that the dogs belonged to staff.

Traditional with modern guest facilities
Nothing

The comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in, we were in room 3, a beautiful room with a lovely whirlpool bath, food delicious as always, friendly and welcoming staff
The marks on the floor and the marks on the sideboard in the room made it look a bit tatty, but didn’t affect our stay, could have benefited from a flannel as well as the towels
4.3
great surroundings exceptional cleanliness and very nice staff
nothing
4.3
not easy to find reception from car park
4.3
nice And comfortable
there was no toilet roll or hot water for the jacuzzi bath

Dinner and breakfast were both lovely. We had a water leak in our room due to the heavy rain but the staff were excellent and moved us to another room and couldnt have been more helpful. The hotel and grounds are amazing and lead to a very relaxing stay.
4.3
Breakfast was really nice
Electric blinds didn’t work, dirty marks on the sideboard, cobwebs and being ushered off to another car park from a snotty rolls Royce enthusiast even though we were told to park in this car park. Room service also entered our room when we were out although we were told we had the only key so if we wanted our beds made then we would have to leave our key with reception,we chose not to leave the key and thy entered anyway
4.3
good value and great food
4.3
excellent staff, lovely room
room 4 can be noisy with people leaving but it was short lived

Breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Room small but pleasant. Very good bathroom with excellent walk-in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities were good with fresh milk provided.
A few silly things in the room such as all bedside lights not working. Also strange random sounds from the radio system interrupting sleep. Managed to switch it off eventually. Had to switch the fridge on to keep water cool. These are minor 'niggles' which I am sure management will rectify.
4.3
very quiet location. comfy bed and spa bath in room. Also the food was good!
The rooms were a little tired and in need of some attention.
4.3
The staff were really welcoming and the chef personally came to see us and talked us through what he could make for us, but they also gave us our space and privacy. The whole building has a lovely feel to it, and the room was fabulous; intimate, cosy and with a huge bathroom. It all contributed to a lovely experience as a couple.

Set in beautiful grounds. service very good. Staff extremely friendly
Bathroom was a little tired and the jacuzzi bath in our room wasn’t working.
4.3
A beautiful building, with lovely grounds and a spacious room.
Room decor was tired, disappointing breakfast selection and kitchen smells were evident throughout the hallways.
4.3
Nothing was too much trouble every effort was made to make the whole stay amazing, food was out of this world cooked by Michelin star chefs so from housekeeping to bar staff to chefs and general manager and owners couldn't have wished for a better stay and experience
Nothing to not like it's the perfect hotel run by experienced staff who are so attentive
