Las habitaciones, los baños públicos, el ambiente general del hotel. La cena es una experiencia para quien no esté acostumbrado.
Un poco distante del centro del pueblo aunque te recogen desde el ferry. Las instaciones cierran sus puertas a las 23.

Food was excellent
A little pricey, especially for the hotel sake.

Secluded, nice public bath and good breakfast. Great to spend the night in the island once the tourists leave. Easily walkable to the aquarium, ropeway and shops.
Older property, rooms were not well lit.
7am wake up call-but seems to be island wide.

Great traditional Japanese room with futon beds, was really happy they had a shuttle service to/from the ferry. The traditional breakfast was really good too, some new flavours for us to experience!

Waitresses were friendly and helpful. Food quite good with some yummy items for dinner. Liked that the hotel offered pick up and drop off from ferry terminal. Air conditioner was great to have in the hot humid weather. Had decent shampoo, soap and conditioner. Room was a good size but in the moist weather was a bit musty. Close to aquarium.
If you stay at this hotel, I recommend you try the western beds as the Japanese ones were much thinner and less comfortable than the other Japanese ones we used during our travels. Level 3 had low water pressure but the water pressure in the onsen on the first floor was fine. The onsen was not quite as spotless as others we have experienced but it was still good for an aching post-hike body. The room needed some cosmetic repairs to the walls around the sink and the paper screens. Room was a bit musty in the moist weather. A long way from town centre.

Value, location
We did not mind the thickness of futon mattress. It is thin. Very thin. For travellers who care the thickness of futon mattresses, not recommended. For travellers who have high standards, not recommended. Go somewhere else and pay a lot more. Staying in this island is very expensive. Not recommended for the complainers. It was great value and we were satisfied what we paid. Excellent value. Place is clean and kind staff. Food was good too.

Everything was great. Small, charming, bit vintage, greeny facility with great staff

The best way to experience Japan. We highly recommend the place. Miyajima at night is much better without thousands of turists and the dinner served by the hotel it is a masterpiece of colors and tastes.

It was a part of the forest reserve. It is right next to the beach. We saw a raccoon dog! which shows where it locates.
Staff were friendly and polite.
7 am very loud temple prayers. Leaking toilet. In the public barth, the several taps weren't working.
A storage of passports were mishandled.

Everything, the hotel, its location, the Japanese room style is stunning, and of course the staff that were so helpful and available. I definitely recommend this place and the cuisine is just delicious

Traditional Ryokan with excellent traditional dinner and breakfast. You make up your own futon bed as part of the experience. Pick up and return service from/to Pier.

It was at a great location and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Onsen (public baths) were great & very easy to access.
The rooms and facilities were a little dated, but still well maintained. I would have liked a more clear description of the room in the advertisement as I had expected a larger space than what we had. The dinner and breakfast was very traditional, which we expected, but having some more choices or options would have been better.

the food is top notch
the futons are a little on the thin side but perfectly acceptable

Nice onsen, nice Sakura, large room, food and staff good.
A little dated. Not sure I'd choose to stay again on the island - not much to do in the evening.

Beautiful traditional ryokan with modern facilities. Outside the main shopping area but still within easy walking (or shuttle) distance from the ferry. We loved the quiet surroundings, nature trail started right behind the corner.

the public bath was great, and for the price the room was great, big, and had a great view.
You can only eat at dinner if you reserve for it.

The food was delicious, the staff was excellent, and the room was comfortable and clean. The bath was also an excellent experience.

The room was spacious and scenic. The bathhouse opens as soon as 6:00 a.m., early enough to get ready for breakfast, which is available from 7:00 a.m.
Water spilled to the bathroom floor through its drain hole from the unplugged bathtub, making it wet all over (needs repair). Toiletries were not available in the bathhouse except at one of its several vanity units.

The peaceful ambiance and the staff

The room was really nice traditional japanese style. The futon etc. was comfortable and we felt so moody in this amazing town. The location is also really nice.
The staff took us from the ferry station by car, after settled we immediately started exploring around since its just out of the door.
There is a small onsen also, clean.
The staffs were also kind and helpful. We liked almost everything.
There are almost no market in the town, and around there is no place you can buy something but luckly in the hotel, there is a small corner that you can find some snacks and noodle etc. But just be prepared even so, saying in advance.

It is very convenient, very close to Miyajima Public Aquarium.
There are vending machine and coffe machine. Unfortunately this hotel does not provide a microwave for visitors.

Staff did their best
Bed as hard as a stone
Old, tired room and building
No choice of food, just take it or leave it

Very clean and well kept facility. Staff was great and accommodating.
Underestimated Traditional Japanese room challenges. Must pre order dinner or breakfast, can’t buy on site. Location was further from center of town and shopping than expected.

Amazing room and set up! So relaxing and peaceful. Just a beautiful break from daily life.
We loved it and wished we could stay a week or more!
I would make it easier to have some cooked food there without reservation. Nothing necessary special but it’s not that impossible to accomodate a last minute dinner... beside that, the place is fantastic and the room was amazing.
