非常古朴的一家日式酒店,周围环境超级好,适合休闲放松。
服务人员时间观念需要提升,两次预约温泉都需要电话提醒。

Incredible staff and location
No lounge to sit and chat and drink in comfy chairs etc
9.0 / 10.0
This is an exceptional hotel, well-located in a great section of Kyoto. The afternoon drink and snack by the river was most appreciated. Really attentive staff. We recommend a visit to the new museum next to the hotel.
It would be useful to have some western choices for dinner. The original room offered was unacceptable but the staff found an ideal room for us.

The staff and service were extremely friendly. The location was incredible; right next to the river, which was beautiful to wake up to every day.

The staff are very polite and helpful, best hotel service I've seen since I came to japan. The hotel is located in the best area where you have a view of the river from the cafe. You can go sightseeing in kyoto or to the bamboo forest with 10 mins on foot. You're also near a train station.
Adding microwave would improve the experience more.

A quiet and beautiful respite from the city. The garden and river views are lovely and the free champagne at the waterfront cafe after a long day of walking was greatly appreciated. The staff were welcoming and helpful every step of the way.
Would have liked to know that visits to the on site onsen require a reservation.

the staff were amazing. the facility was great. arashiyama is beautiful
way too expensive. meals are overpriced and I felt robbed by the cost of laundry. I paid the same price for a gorgeous hotel 36 floors above Tokyo station and some of their individual facilities and meals were half the price as suiran

excellent experience!
nice location, in a silent place but close to a popular street which has many snack shops.
9.0 / 10.0
There is no better location in Arashiyama than Suiran. The afternoon tea on the outdoor balcony of Cafe Hassui is perhaps the most delightful pleasure of all Arashiyama. The lunch and/or breakfast at garden restaurant also make Suiran the most lavish onsen in Japan.
Perhaps needing a more casual lounge to relax or social since there is no sitting area in most rooms.

Really great location. The coffee shops, shopping areas and restaurants close to the hotel are amazing. Arashiyama is definitely a different part of Kyoto that I hadn’t experienced yet. The hotel bedroom was amazing. Some of the best sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel while traveling.
9.0 / 10.0
Everything was wonderful, the room, open air hot spring bath, service, in-room dining and especially the location.
The washlet toilet, in the room, was constantly turning on and randomly flushed when not in use.
9.0 / 10.0
Service was outstanding and prior email exchange super comfortable and convenient
We got upgraded to an executive suite incl private bathtub which we used extensively
Private teppanyaki dinner was absolutely amazing
It’s not cheap but worthwhile for a special occasion
10.0 / 10.0
Best of both worlds, Japanese authentic experience with western amenities like room service, western beds and western breakfast
