The staff was very accommodating, helping us with water bottles, a great breakfast cafe, storing our bags after we'd checked out to finish checking out more of Arashiyama, and finally calling two taxis to get our party and our bags to our next hotel in Kyoto. The rooftop is also a surprisingly pleasant place to sit and look out at the skyline if you have the time in the evening or the afternoon.

Love this place. Big and comfortable room. More like an apartment. Not far from the tourist spot. very quiet.
There is no elevator. We need to carry big luggage to 3rd floor, but staffs were helpful. The restaurant is gone, now only a cafe’ with some waffles and drinks

The staff is very friendly, helpful and even recommended us which place has the nice food👍

It was located in a quiet area with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The guys at the reception desk were so nice and very helpful.
The set up of the doors was probably the least favorite part. Having to unlock doors to go out of the building was the biggest pain. Also there is no elevator which made carrying suitcases a bit of a pain the next morning.

Amazingly friendly staff combined with a neat room. It was a wonderful experience.

Really friendly and proactively helpful staff. They were always looking for ways to help us (find food, help adjust our room to accommodate our baby), and the room prep staff was amazing! They had baby stuff in the room for our arrival, and saw that when we tried to make a safety padding for the wall, brought another blanket to help us do so!
The room is spacious, especially after the small places we stayed at in the urban areas.

This was an awesome base to explore Kyoto. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was big, comfortable and had a lot of great facilities. Definitely recommended.

The room is gorgeous and a good hybrid between a western and traditional room. Very spacious for a couple, probably just the right size for a group of 4. The front desk people were really helpful, esp with transportation and booking restaurants. The lobby was adorable and sweet. It was very cosy to come back to this hotel on a rainy day.
A little far from the station we came from, away from the tourist attractions. Was a pain to get to because it was raining, but otherwise if the weather is good, its very accessible. Recommend to taxi over.

Very good all round re property and comfort
Need to inform guests that you cannot get dinner anywhere locally after 5pm!!!

Bathroom amenities are good. Room is spacious.
1) Walls and ceilings are just covered with cements
2) Location is far off from the togetsukyo bridge, this hotel does not have any nice view. it just serves a purpose for resting that is all.
3) Was supposed to have the price inclusive of 5 beds but end up only have 4 beds and have to pay extra charge for the additional bed, not forgetting to mention about the accommodation tax.
4) Food has limited time, so it's better to prepare yourself some food.

Spaces interior, big tatami style room and very comfortable room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located very near to various sightseeing spots in Arashiyama. There is a nice western cafe at the hotel basement.
No tower rack available in the bathroom.

Room is clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and nice. I really like baby-friendly service which they have toys, clothes and body soap for babies.
We have 10 months old son and wanted to use a stroller. There is no elevator, just stairs which was inconvenient for parents who have a baby.

We stayed here with our 4 year old daughter. Prior to arrival date, we only requested for a parking space. We didn’t request anything in particular for our daughter but when we got there, they have prepared a box of toy blocks, toilet step stool, futon was ready on tatami floor with kids pillow, kids yukata, kids shampoo&body wash, kids bath sponge, and they even gave her a small toy as a present. It was a really nice gesture and surprise for us. The room was spacious, super clean and comfortable. The staff were all wonderful. Our daughter said she wants to live there forever. Me too. :D Thank you so much for your hospitality.

The stay exceeded our expectations. Absolutely clean, modern and very family friendly. We travelled with 5 and 2 year old. They brought toys to the room (construction toys and bath toys). Staff spoke perfect English. It was convenient to have restaurant downstairs. Felt absolutely safe with all covid precautions. They had automatic sanitizers etc. Very knowledgeable about the area and staff can give you advice on where to go and what to do.
We were so grateful for the hotel staff. My son injured his foot on a rented bicycle and hotel employee (who spoke absolutely perfect English) took us to ER and stayed with us until we received all the needed treatment. We wouldn’t be able to receive all the medical help without him. Forever grateful!
Next time we are in the area- we definitely will stay there again!
Everything was great!

ssThis hotel is a quality Boutique experience. Its excellent as we all (4) shared one room. Room is renovated nicely. In past this clearly was an local apartment building butchanhed into a hotel. B1 restaurant /bar is great with good craft beers and great burgers and casual food and cheap too. Staff handling check in etc at reception on F1 are excellent. The rooms are very well renovated and truly excellent new quality with great bathrooms, tables, beds etc . Location is excellent too Only one fault exists ~ This is the windows are single glazed , not double or pair glass, so their is an issue with noise from cars late at night or people walking outside.
The owner should install pair or double glazed windows to eliminate sound from the road..apart from this its excellent on all points considering the cheaper price range and ability to handle bigger families in one room too

We enjoyed everything about our experience there, the location is really good close to all attractions in Arashiyama..
The room was large and real nice, and the small kitchenette was perfect.
Would totally recommend this to anyone wishes to visit Arashiyama for couple of days..

The hotel is very cozy and comfortable. The whole staff is helpful and nice and almost all of them spoke English very well. Special thanks to Shoichi who was extremely helpful and cooperative.

This was definitely our best hotel stop in Japan so far, and I've been coming here for 28 years.
Great English assistance front desk, room spacious and excellent facilities. Handy to stations, short walk or quick taxi. Buses come by. Handy to local attractions. Air con ideal and easy to control. +++
Semi western menu restaurant down stairs, quality high, servings sizes small, but quality rules and we just had extra dishes.
The only blemish, may not suit somebody who would struggle with a couple of flights of steps to entrance and rooms.
