Great choice of breakfast and great location and sea view
Service in restaurant very poor. No one checked to see if all ok, plates were not cleared even 30 mins after course finished. We ended up having to stack them to allow us to continue. Staff seemed more interested in standing talking. Food in evenings not great but breakfast lovely.
Foyer was great for sitting and watching world go by but could be improved upon if waiter service offered tea coffee drinks bar snacks etc. We ended up going to coffee van outside.Getting to bedrooms was challenging. It was a bit of a maze with limited signage. We frequently met other guests who were lost too!
Shower water was a drizzle but other family members in different rooms had different experience , they loved their showers.

Bundoran is a beautiful place, we visit a few times in the year, but unfortunately our stay this time was ruined by our experience in this hotel!
The hotel had told us check out was at half 11. We were staying for one night, the morning of checkout, myself and my daughter went to the shop at half 10, an hour before checkout, we were gone for no more then ten minutes, when we arrived back we found our room door open, all of our belongings had been taken our of the room, I asked one of the housekeepers, what was going on, to which she told me they moved my stuff to reception, I asked why and who gave them permission to do so before I had even checked out, and I was told oh because were going to clean now! When I went to reception to collect my belongings and obviously checkout because I had no choice in the matter when we were basically kicked out of the room! I was handed my stuff as if this was a normal procedure, I asked why I was made leave before checkout time and why my room was entered before checkout time, the girl at reception couldn't answer but apologised, spoke to another member of stuff via email, to be told that the housekeepers entered my room to leave off towels, anyone who has worked in the hotel environment knows this doesn't happen for a one night stay, only if requested by the person for more towels, which we didn't! No explanation on why mine and my daughters personal items were touched and removed! To be honest the response I got was as if they do this all the time! They offered me an upgrade if I was ever to stay there again, which I never will!!

good firm bed, friendly staff Bar food fair
It was too noisy at night. country and western music (which both my wife and I hate) blared all evening from the bar. I had to be up early in the morning to attend an Angling tournament and I had a very sleepless night, despite the very comfortable bed. Bar food was too expensive.

everything about the property in terms of the room quality and location was accurate
I paid €100 for a room as a Christmas gift for my mum and aunt. I contacted prior to the stay as I looked on their website and wanted to upgrade them to the themed rooms. I enquired via emailing the hotel and was told it would be €10 additional which was the price of the room. in the room features it’s stated “complimentary breakfast” so I had told my mum/aunt this was included. they arrived and was told I didn’t pay for breakfast. I ended up emailing the hotel and they replied telling me this feature was only for the website (although it doesn’t state this) and wanted me to pay an additional €30 for my mum/aunt to have breakfast. given on their website the price of a themed room + complimentary breakfast was €110 I thought it absurd for them to try charge me an additional €30. I believe this should be made very clear to people booking here as it is stated on the website “room features” not “room features provided you book directly with the hotel” I felt mislead and embarrassed. my mum/aunt had to contact me to tell me breakfast was not covered. I ended up paying an additional €15 to cover breakfast but I feel like if the hotel continue to advertise like they do on their website, they should make it clear the deals they advertise is for direct bookings only as if lead to a very awkward situation for me that I wasn’t impressed with.

HAd a great stay , rooms nice and big, clean and tidy. Great location and food wonderful.
The only letdown I had was with the breakfast. You have to pick a time when booking in, and breakfast is very early. 1st morning 8am 2nd one 9am. Was on a relaxing weekend didn't want to get up that early. Also the could have a better range for people who don't want a fry up , only option was fruit or cereal, a couple of crossoints , pancake or French Toast would have been lovely. Also not a place for young to stay in most guest we're of a older age.
