The decor was gorgeous. The sitting rooms by the fire were also a lovely place to lounge, and the bed was extremely comfy. We had a free room upgrade, which was really thoughtful too. We will be back!

Went here for my boyfriends 30th and what a stay! The room and hotel was so so beautiful. Staff and people on front desk were really welcoming and friendly. The bed was so comfy and we got a free upgrade as well. The breakfast was really nice too
Nothing! Wish I could move in

As it was our anniversary, they upgraded our room, which was a nice touch. They even threw in free drinks while we sat in the lounge waiting for our train. Excellent service and hotel.
Nothing really. Everything was good.

Great location in London, the hotel is very unique and has a very old school, sophisticated charm to it.
Our room was a suite, and had a sofa area away from the bedroom that our two children slept in, however it was very crowded regardless as it was fairly small. The room was also very hot at night. The cost was also pretty high considering the size of the room, but the atmosphere was pleasant.

Beautiful small hotel in a historic building in a very cool, hip part of London. Quiet location, exquisite hotel with beautiful lobby, library and lounge. The room was gorgeous, spacious with a huge bed, sofa and great bathroom with an old style bath and shower that was very luxurious. Mini bar, robes, great room service and the breakfast in bed was divine.
The windows faced an office building so we had the keep the curtains drawn, but it’s London so to be expected.

The room we stayed in was s t u n n i n g. we were upgraded (so thankful for this too) and the room really was breathtaking. never before have we had a tour of the hotel which is a nice touch! The staff at Batty Langley’s were so accommodating, if we can save the money we’d love to come again just before Christmas. Thank you.

Bed was extremely comfortable. Great room design. Staff was always very nice and helpful. The lounges and spaces in the hotel are fabulous. No lack of toiletries throughout. Spacious room. Enough sitting room with chairs. Travelling from EU, great to see EU plugs existed and even USB entries for charging.
Sink faucets are separate so no mix of hot and cold water. A trip back to memory lane to get used to. Lack of a hair dryer in the room (maybe you need to ask for one).

Beautiful and quaint hotel. So cozy and comfortable - the beds were amazing!!

The location is good to explore Shoreditch, close to tube and bus station. Hotel is full of character as if travels back time but still maintain the modern comfort. Unusual experience of the honesty bar to DIY your own drink, all interesting.
No tea making facilities in room, can arrange when ring up reception but with limited choices of beverages and no biscuit comes with it which is slightly under expectation with the price we‘ve paid .

Beautiful building and rooms in a great location, easily walkable to Liverpool Street, London Bridge and Moorgate. The staff were fantastic and really made us feel welcome. We would stay again!

Must give a huge credit to the staff at the reception. They were open and creative to our request, doing more than you'd expect.
Sadly there is a construction site nearby so if you want to sit on the terrace or just open the windows there is noise. But hey, it is London, construction sites are everywhere. The windows are well insulated so it's not like you're gonna wake up from the noise.

Love the style of the hotel, location and friendly feel of a smaller hotel. The staff are welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they treat you as an old friend, especially if it’s a return visit.
Nothing not to like.

Hotel was gorgeous, comfortable, staff was really helpful, even the breakfast granola parfait was special. The location was great. It seemed like every train line went to Liverpool Station. Will definitely stay again.
Price was a tad high -- just a tad -- but not outrageous by any means.. And honestly, for what you get, it was really worth it. It probably felt a tad high because it was just a bit more than I expected to spend.

The room was beautiful and the whole hotel was so lovely in its decoration and the location was great. The staff were very friendly.
The pillows were awful, we both woke up with horrible cricks in our necks.

Absolutely sensational décor throughout, attentive and excellent staff and seamless check-in experience. The room was gorgeous and the location was perfect!
Bathroom door was a little heavy for my girlfriend to manage on her own, but very minor.

Batty Langley’s is stunning. As soon as you walk in, the roar of the fire and the friendly staff make you feel as though you’ve walked into the most luxurious and warm of welcomes. The unique layout of the three lounges, rather than one large dining area, adds to a stately home feel. The honesty bars and free homemade cake at the weekend are gorgeous touches. Our check in was personable with quick and personable. When asked why we were staying, I mentioned we were celebrating submitting the final piece of work of my Masters degree, to which they upgraded us to a Junior suite! The concierge, Helen, was wonderful in showing us around and bought us up the most beautiful tray of tea and coffee.
The attention to detail in the rooms and lounge hours are stunning. From the lampshades, tableware, fringed curtains and books. Like living in an episode of The Crown! Our suite hosted the most gorgeous roll top bath and carved wooden bed. We even had a wooden toilet that was like a throne! Our bed was so comfy and the room was spotless.
Breakfast is served to your rooms, we opted for a bacon sandwich and pastry basket, which were both divine.
Over our 22years together we have stayed in many hotels across the world… but to stay in this gem in our hometown was a real treat. When we next have cause to celebrate, we hope to be back!
