An excellent, budget-friendly guest house that is very accomodating to all guests.

The facilities were great. The bathroom and toilet were clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated that the refrigerator has an ice-maker! The common area was also very comfortable and there were a lot of games and activities we could enjoy. They also had bullet boards with a lot of information on tourist spots and restaurants in the local area. The hotel was also not too far from the town centre and there is a conbini nearby.

The beds were a little uncomfortable for my partner and I. Our other two friends are used to sleeping on futons so it didn't bother them. I think for anyone who finds it difficult to sleep on futons should keep this in mind.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable, cozy, convenient with a very warm and friendly staff. I LOVED staying here.

It’s a little far from some things but I would still stay here again. Such a great value!

設備が清潔で充実していた。宿の関係者の対応もスマートだった。

・バイクで旅行したが宿の近くに駐車場がなく、市営の駐車場を利用したが遠かった。・2段ベットの上段を利用。ベットは新しく清潔であったが、作りがやや華奢な感じ。僅かな動きでも、ベット全体に伝わり上り降り等に想定以上に気を使った。

Walking distance of takayam's station, old town, and night life. Super value for personal room.

Great value for money in a lockable personal room. Clean facilities. Cozy and calm atmosphere with a little bit of Otaku decor. In particular My Neighbour Totoro, which I appreciated. Common area for socializing and games including a retro game console. Kitchen/dining area for eating. On site laundry. Location within about 5-10 min walk of Takayamas old town, 10 min from Takayama stn with a familymart on the way, and about 15 min walk for late night resto/bar district. Friendly and helpful staff with service in English.

Fijne locatie, mooie guesthouse met veel tips qua bezienswaardigheden, maar wel gek personeel.

De locatie was goed. Het was heel ruim opgezet, dus je had veel ruimte in zowel de kamer als in de gezamenlijke ruimte. Het had een fijne sfeer en een goede douche.

Niet al het personeel was even vriendelijk en prettig. Er was een man die een beetje in zichzelf mompelde de hele tijd en af en toe kwam kijken in de gezamenlijke ruimte, dus vonden wij niet zo chill.

Comfortable and warm stay in a wonderful town

We received a really warm welcome from the host. We arrived at the hotel a little early, so she put our bags into their luggage storage area. We expected this, but she also took the time to take down our information for check-in and even gave us the tour to save us some time later in the day. The whole facility was clean and had a wholesome vibe. We had one of the family rooms, and it was comfortable with its aircon.

Great location and people would stay again

Got few temples in the near by area and close to public transport. Breakfast each morning was amazing and the dog was super friendly.

I had a good overnight stay! The place is cool the price w the bonus free tram tix

They gave you a ticket to ride the tram twice for free ! Chippy at front desk was so helpful and nice and helped me out w tips and recommendations. Was only there for a night but would Return

I learnt that the sheet given to u on the beds is to divide and be a layer of cleanliness bc they don’t wash the blankets daily ..

The cleanest most comfortable hostel-type guesthouse I’ve ever stayed in.

The front staff were very friendly and took care to give me a tour upon arrival. There are lots of thoughtful touches everywhere like walking maps and restaurant recommendations, and overall it was a very comfortable stay. I had planned to stay with them again for one night after a hiking trip, but became sick and had to cancel. They were kind enough to waive the cancellation fee even though they did not have to.

All in all great. Was more expensive through booking.com, can get it for less if make reservatio.

Great location. Friendly staff. Cool common area that was like a cozy coffe shop with manga and tv and video games and a guitar. Nice Japanese style room.

No complementary food. Should have been 5-10 dollars less a night, and it seems that on their website it is, but through booking.com I was charged more per night.

A good stay!

Staff was very helpful and I appreciated the welcoming note in my room upon arrival. The elevator made it also easy for me to carry my heavy bag in the room.

Showers are not on the same level of the rooms, but it wasn’t a problem for me.

Close to downtown, big room, very comfortable and spacious room, with light on bed. Clean kitchen and big common space with tv, guitar and books!

Very difficult to find a weak point here, only the main door at night is closed so you need to remember the access code.

We had a wonderful stay in this guest house. The room we booked is private Japanese style room for two people, with personal toilet. The room is cozy, bright and clean, so is the public place. Staffs are super friendly and helpful, and always with greetings., They are the best things during the stay. The price is very very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to stay

If the water temperature for shower is more consistent and a mirror can be placed right next to the hair dryer that would be perfect.

we went to Takayama to experience the spring festival, and we were not disappointed. Staying in the guest house added to

clean with traditional tatami and care taken for residents to find out what takayama has to offer. there were lots of helpful maps and useful hints about what to see and where to eat.

toilet paper disintegrated easily in the shower room.

Close to JR station and bus station. Comfortable with good facilities. Nice and clean interior.

Staff can improve their knowledge about the surrounding tourist attraction. Did not provide any info but directed us to the bus station instead. Maybe more electric plug at the living room area.
