Loved it as great location and clean and breakfast was high standard for what they did provide.

Cooked breakfast scrambled eggs and tomatoes excellent. Gluten free cereal available maybe could offer some gluten free bread on request to make more gluten free friendly. Lovely fresh fruit dishes and yoghurt. Nice location facing the Ely Marina. Bathroom spotless with hairdryer and bath robe for private lockable bathroom. Plenty of towels and complimentary shower stuff. Iron and board in room.

Gluten free might offer more but plenty to eat even if gluten free with cooked items and cereal and fruit and yoghurt.

Excellent hotel in perfect location

Perfect location within walking distance of the main street and cathedral. On the water. Small and quiet. Very comfortable room and bathroom.

Most people would disagree but I found the room too hot and the temperature didn't go down much after I turned off the radiator.

Didn’t actually stay at premises due to inability to park anywhere for more than three hours!

Ideal location very quite and comfortable well kept rooms

The property is of a high standard the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and accommodating.

Smashing little spot, beautiful and good value

What a beautifully furnished guesthouse, in an unbeaten location right on the canal front. The price was very affordable. It seemed largely unstaffed so you were sent an access code to enter the building - all very smoothly communicated, no problems at all gaining access. The bed was so comfortable and I loved the view from my window. The breakfast served was good and again, lovely views from the relaxed breakfast room.

I didn't realise when I booked that my single room had an external private bathroom. This isn't my preference, but actually it was fine. The bathroom was for my exclusive use, just outside the bedroom and extremely clean and nicely furnished. The shower pressure was great. The single room itself is also very small, but since it had a nice comfy seat and view it was still a nice place to relax in so I didn't really mind.

I did feel my room was a little cramped. I always prefer it if one gets greeted by a real person upon arrival (but all the staff I did meet, when I met them, were pleasant and helpful).

Very good

For breakfast tea I enjoy some sliced lemon, something easily made available. Not impressed with sausage’s Would have liked an option of poached eggs or smoked salmon with the scrambled eggs.

The breakfast was outstanding, but a bit limited in the timing that was offered to eat. The room was comfortable, but very small, and not a lot of space for my suitcase, no place to use my laptop. Everything was very clean. The bedside table light did not work, when I looked at the cord to try and turn it on (not from the wall) it was taped in the on position. Other than that, very nice breakfast staff, very easy to find, a lovely place.

the location, lovely bathroom with great shower. breakfast room and selection was very good for such a small guest house.

we booked two rooms. the bathroom of the single room was not en-suite and we hadn’t spotted that when booking.

Fabulous room and comfortable stay being good value for money.

Clean beautiful room, lovely view, great dining room and excellent breakfast

The electric kettle in my room switched itself off within ten seconds of being switched on so would not boil water. No contact with any staff until breakfast time. The process of booking, paying, checking in and finding my room was efficient enough but very impersonal.

Pleasant, clean and comfortable hotel in a good location.

The location was was excellent for exploring the town as everything could be reached on foot. We also had a lovely view of the river from our room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a very spacious bathroom. The room had good provisions with nice little additions such as coffee machine and ironing board. Breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Ely is well worth a stop over.

Excellent location. Spacious room and bathroom. Good breakfast selection. Very efficient check in. Although parking next to the property maybe problematic. There's free parking available a few minutes walk away. All along the flat.

Lovely setting.

Location was lovely looking down the river from the room, walks along the river was picturesque. 10 mins walk in to town. Large room with seating and table, large bathroom with underfloor heating. Bed comfortable and good pillows. Breakfast room was lovely and light, everything was set out nicely, choices available, staff were nice.

The television was awful, kept freezing, sound would go off, couldn't watch a whole programme or news, after walking 11 miles one day we looked forward to putting our feet up and relaxing, spoilt the evenings, stayed 5 nights. Heating was intermitant, room was cold a couple of nights. Room had too many colours and ornate, could be less colour and could be a stunning room, carpet needs cleaning hated feel on bare feet. Breakfast was nice first day, but realised after staying so many nights, what happens to all the sausage, Tom's, bacon, fruit salad after each day that wasn't eaten, we were last in some mornings and lots left each day? Overall a nice stay just a few niggles, took the edge off it. Parking is hit and miss, some days nothing near by, a walk to free carpark but need to move at 8.30 am.

really enjoyed our stay and visiting Ely. would stay again.

the location on the river but within walking distance from the town was great. lovely comfortable house. the added extras were appreciated. The staff were very attentive.

The bar outside may be too noisy for some - especially in the summer when the windows are open. The bar doesn’t close until 11.00.

We chose it for its location but in actual fact it was too central.

The fact it was located by the river in town

The room was too noisy. Recycling occurred in the early hours with the bottlebank being emptied right outside our room. The location actually was detrimental. The room was very dark. poor lighting in the bathroom.
