The riad is renovated, very clean, very nice view from the terrace, and to top it off, the hospitality was very good! A nice tea and sweets upon arrival, the ladies really made us feel at home.
Maybe the soundproofing, but it is typical of riads so not really a bad point …

Riad Yamcha is a beautifully, Moroccan chic decorated guesthouse - the most upscale/classy, attention to detail of our trip - both in public areas AND the room itself. Sooo much nicer than photos suggest. It is run by the nicest/most joyful group of ladies who go out of their way to make your visit special. Located near the souks and within walking distance to all major sights, it is in a quiet neighborhood making for restful sleep in comfortable beds. Room and bathroom were spacious (and decorated oh so nice!). Breakfast was generous and delicious. Secure, paid parking was located about 10 minutes just inside one of the gates.

What a wonderful clean and well presented riad. The rooms are very good with a high ceiling and fresh white walls. The bed and white linen were very comfortable. Lots of hot water. The courtyard had a lovely ambiance.
Breakfast was very good and varied each day with freshly squeezed fruit juices.
WiFi was okay in our room but other people did struggle for a signal.
Greeted on arrival with mint tea and biscuits. The roof terrace was excellent, good quality and comfortable seating area's, very relaxing as the sun goes down. You have to pay cash on departure. Overall great value, beautiful Riad.
Very difficult to find.... you really need to pay a porter to take you there.
Would have been useful to have an introduction or map of the local medina.
We joined another couple who had booked a guide of the Medina for €30 by the riad and we were charged another €30 for the 90 minute tour which was not good or value for money.

We’re so glad we chose Riad Yamcha in Meknes! Finding it walking through the lovely pastel colored Medina is an adventure, and when you step through the door into Riad you won’t believe your eyes and your great luck to be here! A beautifully restored building, with great attention to detail and every comfort. The staff was so warm and friendly as well as the very kind hosts who were able to include us in the delicious dinner. A very quiet comfortable sleep, followed by a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend at least one night stay here. Perfect for visiting Volubilis, also a thoroughly enjoyable sight.
Not one single thing.

Very kind staff that help us effectively as our daughter was having a bad time experiencing fever.
Also, the food was the best we had in Morocco as we had dinner in the Riad every evening during Ramadan.
The inner court of the riad is quiet and beautiful.

Can fully recommend. Very nice stuff, clean and lovely rooms. Exceleent breakfast.
4.7
The size of the riad, the clean rooms, inside area of the riad, rooftop with a great view... And of course, the ladies working there, they were great company and very helpful.
The location is sadly not as expected. It si located in the old part of the city, you have to walk more than expected from the road, and it is very hard for a foreigner to find it and get there. The road to the riad is in very bad form, my luggage was partly damaged and the people on the streets are trying to scam you and mislead you. Luckily I had a Moroccan friend there, alone it would have been a much worse experience to find it.
4.7
Design, cleanliness, incredible and varied breakfasts, incredible staff.
Very difficult to find. Everything else was excellent.

This Riad is amazing, Fantastic modern Moroccan experience. The Aicha restaurant was simply wonderful and great value.
The Kasbah was interesting and the gardens below it.The city is clean and we just loved it.

Crisp white linen and beautiful Riad. Good breakfast and wonderful roof terrace.
Lack of ability to make drinks and overpriced list for purchasing drinks. House ‘rules’ gave a less than friendly introduction. Very poor wifi making it impossible to plan onward trip.

Very beautiful and cozy Riad, elegantly decorated with a mix of modernity and tradition full of small details that make the difference and provide you with comfort. From the little sheep scattered around the riad, to the warm towel racks in the bathrooms that made all the difference at this time of year. Very comfortable beds, great quality towels, bed sheets, delicious and diverse breakfast, very attentive and professional owners and staff. We will be back!

This is a gem of a riad. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. If you stay here you must also have dinner. It too was delicious. Such a special place.

This is a superb riad in the center of Meknes old medina. The restoration is stunning. It is not easy to find -- we hired a porter where a car dropped us off to navigate the narrow and mazelike streets of the medina -- but the journey was worth it. Tremendous place overall.

The Riad has been renovated in contemporary style to a high standard which we loved. Our room was perfect and the host and her staff were very friendly and helpful and the home cooked food was delicious.
4.7
Very helpful, efficient and devoted staff. Karima’s food is really delicious.
In our bathroom there was a slight smell of sewage.
4.7
The patio is very spacious and green. Moreover, a big rooftop terrace adds another charming space to the hotel. Even though we had a room on the ground floor, we enjoyed our stay very much. looks like the Riad was recently renovated. Overall very good value for money in comparison to other Riads in Morocco. Very detailed touch on the interior design choice. You can tell that someone with a good taste owns this place
The rooms could have warmer lightening in order to make these more comfy in the evenings
4.7
We liked everything about this Riad. The owners really did a great job with restoration of this old medina Riad.
Breakfast was the best that we had in Morocco. Staff was really nice and helpful. Room was amazing, the roof terrace is really beautiful with an amazing view. Our room had really nice and cozy place outside with sofa and a table.
All together was great.

beautiful decor, wonderful food, fantastic hospitality

Friendly personnel, nice dinner.
it is a bit difficult to find, we needed some help from locals
4.7
Evelyn and Gerald are wonderful and thoughtful hosts. Karima and Wafa are the two staff members who are also the most wonderful team. The dinner was delicious as was the breakfast. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. More like a warm home experience like staying with friends vs a hotel.
Location was a little tricky but not a showstopper.
4.7
The best Riad we stayed in during our Marocco trip. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially Karima. They really tried to make our stay exceptional. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience after the busyness of Fes! The interior design was a perfect mix between marocain and modern design with high quality furniture and bathroom facilities. We were immediately welcomed with fresh orange juice, tea and delicious marocain delight! It was a perfect stay!
We also had the chance to meet the owners who are especially warm and welcoming. We could feel that they put all their heart into this place. It's highly recommendable! Do not miss out on the home cooked dinner - just delicious and great!

Beautiful house and rooms at a perfect location!
it was our favorite riad to stay at. sensational food too. you need to go there. thanks a lot and hopefully once more!
4.7
Location close to everything. YMCHA is a riad with few rooms which makes it very cozy and in contact with its history.
Extremely clean and comfortable
Staff made the difference: tasty dinners and huge breakfast, carefull in any istance and truly helpfull.
Thank you Karima and Wafa for delivering such great value to any detail! Well done indeed!

Everything was perfect!! The staff received us very well and made us feel at home. The place is beautiful, super clean and confortable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Definitely the place to stay in Meknes.
Nothing.

Riad Yamcha is an elegant, beautiful traditional Riad right in the heart of the old Medina. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable and the owners and staff are wonderful and hospitable. We felt like we were friends visiting.
It was a bit of a walk from where we left the taxi to the Riad dragging our suitcases. it would have been good to know that we could hire someone to take our bags in a wheel barrow
4.7
The head of staff was very mean, unprofessional, and ignorance seemingly because of gender and ethnicity. We ended up with uncomfortable stay checking out early even before the breakfast.
The Riad to be fair is outstanding with nice architecture and well occupied room (ours was Noir). We hope the owner can fix this to improve other travellers experience.
This property accepts cash only!!

The details make the difference. This is a top end Riad. Probably the best we had in Marocco. Excellent table d’hôte and breakfast as well. Karima is the perfect host!!!

This is truly one of the most beautiful (and real) riads we have been with the amazing inner courtyard full
of orange trees! the rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated and the bed is very comfy. But first and foremost, Karima, her helper and the cat are some of the nicest hosts we have had, and amazing cooks! You should definitely enjoy her home made dinner while you there… you won’t regret it (a tip though: don’t eat lunch ;) ).

It's difficult to know exactly where to start this review on our stay at Riad Yamaha. We have been traveling for the last 5 months and we have experienced many sorts of lodgings - in fact 52 to be exact. Usually we start a review with how we feel about the physical aspects of the property but this one will start with the staff. The care and attention that we received from the staff, Karima and her helper, was some of the best we have received - EVER! We even navigated the language barrier with ease and humor. Now the physical aspect of the property.. . This small Riad was lovingly restored by the owners a few years ago. In looking at the before photos one can only be in complete admiration for their vision and execution of the renovation. And then it was beautifully furnished in a simple but elegant style that is very comfortable and so pleasing to the eye. Finally this review would not be complete without talking about the food that we enjoyed. You are greeted upon arrival with the traditional mint tea but there is also a plate of goodies to accompany it. The breakfasts were varied each day and always plentiful and so tasty. We opted to have dinners both nights of our stay and each one was brilliantly prepared. And both were NOT your standard tajine but dishes of creativity and some of the best food that we have had on our entire trip - not just Morocco. Our stay at the Riad Yamaha was the highlight of our visit to Meknes and we could easily have stayed for days and days and days. Yes, this is one of those places that will stick in our minds and hearts.
EVERYTHING perfect!

Lovely design, quiet location, attractive courtyard, welcoming host, and great food. In short: highly recommended!
Can be reached with Google Maps and requires some walking (with a porter for the luggage if need be). But definitely worth the effort. An oasis in the Medina
