Hassan was helpful in navigating the medina in setting up excursions and in serving great meals
Too many cats in the hood

Very friendly and we had the place to ourselves.
Not enough loo roll. The third bed was not very comfortable for our daughter.

The staff was very helpful all the time. The Riad is well located, very close to a big car park nearby. The breakfast was good and well presented.
Would have been better to have a proper crib for the toddler. Also the bathroom of the room we stayed in was a little tight. The AC was not well directed to the beds, making it challenging to be more efficient.

Full of character, bedrooms beautifully furnished with carved wood, beautiful artefacts and very comfortable beds, beautiful terrace full of greenery to relax in and have a great breakfast, dining room downstairs was like a palace with chandeliers and beautifully tiled walls. All staff were very friendly and helpful, we ate a home cooked meal there one evening which was delicious, freshly prepared and tailored to our needs. Hassan kindly arranged taxis for us to visit nearby Volubilis which was fascinating and he also made sure to book us a taxi to the train station even though it was Eid. Easy walking distance to the medina shops, open market and green spaces for strolling as well as visiting the Dar Jamai museum of music which was exceptional. Thoroughly recommended.
Due to the nature of the characterful building it was a little dark inside but this wasn’t really a problem and actually added to its uniqueness.

Great spacious room with beautiful decorations, excellent bathroom. Hassan gave us a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful, organising our trip to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss (with another very nice Hassan) and gave us good advice where to eat ( Aicha) and how to get about.
Wifi was a bit weak.
The room could have done with some brighter lighting, but overall a very pleasant stay.

Hassan comes to your meeting point. Offers his warm smile and welcome. He is the Gem of the Ryad . A short walk up a winding street, you find a door which hides the jewel that is inside. All moroccan tiles and cedar wood, you have stepped back in time. The main floor is truly a wonder of detail, arches, columns, and light. Hassan offers you the traditional welcome of tea and cookies, while you soak in the color and space. The first flight of stairs take you to the main floor with the bedrooms and suites. Completely furnished with authentic fabrics and very comfortable furniture and beds. The baths are modern and there is plenty of hot water at your disposal. The next flight of stairs leads up to the two terraces with views across to the modern city. A public park is directly below, with paths, many types of trees and plants. The Breakfast and Dinners on offer are nourishing and more food than one can finish. All cooked to order and delicious. Hassan is happy to accommodate your desires and can assist with any arrangements for tours. He also will help you to get oriented with the map that is provided. Meknes while a large city, the Medina is not a big as in other cities you may visit. Very easy to wander and not get lost. The restaurants are plentiful, with very tasty food. Some offer huge roof terraces to sit and watch the theatre that is ongoing in the squares and other areas. Or choose a sidewalk cafe and just relax and enjoy a coffee or tea. You return to the Ryad, and Hassan's welcome back to your home away from home. He is happy to organize excursions to the many sites in the area as well as offer you books which explain everything about the surrounding area. We cannot thank Hassan enough for his kind hospitality and expert services.

Beautiful riad in a great location - quiet but only a few minutes away from so many key places in Meknes. Rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless. Hassan and the team were very friendly and super helpful. Highly recommend!

The Riyadh was beautiful. Each room decorated beautifully.
The actual owner wasn’t there, And while he communicated through his staff, he wasn’t able to help with arranging guides, or giving information about the area. Getting things set up was a little difficult initially.

Parking nearby, close to the famous medina, beautiful plants and a wonderful breakfast and welcome tea.
Personally, the best part was Fatima and her beautiful personality and kindness to ensure everything was good for us. Furthermore, they accepted my two dogs which is even better considering Morocco isn’t much of a dog friendly country.
Would stay again a hundred times!

We stayed here one night and had the place to ourselves. Staff were accommodating, friendly, available, and most helpful: they welcomed us with mint tea, cookies, and a solid briefing on what to see, and on check-out they helped us carry our bags to a taxi.
The downstairs welcome area of the riad was quite pretty (although dark), the terrace upstairs was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was good. It was also nice to explore Meknes after the hustle and bustle of Fes, and we went to a couple of nice family-run restaurants nearby too. Breakfast was excellent as well and in beautiful surroundings, and check-out was a breeze.
Overall, while some aspects of the riad could be made better with more attention, we felt welcomed and this was a good place to stay for a night.
As other reviews have mentioned, some parts of the riad looked more worn out, and it does show that the owners hadn't been onsite as much. Some of the fixtures and the bathrooms in particular could use some updating, although everything was clean.

The hotel was near the medina, but not inside, so we could easily reach our car for making trips around the area. Rooms are comfortable the roof is a good place to hang out. The people are very friendly and helpful.
Probably for reasons the hotel can’t do anything about sometimes you smell a touch of sewer. The big room downstairs was not appealing to us. Too dark. We sat on the roof all the time.
