Not as expected

Reception staff were kind and always Friendly - air conditioning great!

Wasn't value for money, not 4 star quality, beds were uncomfortable, no change of sheets, WiFi was poor, not luxury accommodation, the sofa was full of rips, floor full of hairs, poor accommodation, shower pressure was hit and miss, outdated bathroom from the EL Faro days in 2012 and the restaurant has a lack of duty of care regarding its allergy information as we informed staff of my daughters fish allergy in both English and Spanish- we chose a chicken salad for safe option for them to swamp it with an Anchovy sauce causing a serious allergic reaction! Hotel Mar is poor value for money- plus it is very quiet, it will cost you £16 euro per day just to get-to port Alcudia as it's unbearable to walk in the heat! The place lacks atmosphere, even the beach is unusable - too many rocks and boats, sunbeds will set you back 50 euro for 2 loungers from the beach bar, there's nothing special about this place anymore.

La chambre est super, le petit dejeuner est vraiment copieux et varié. j'ai beaucoup aimé ceci. Le personnel est super gentil. L'hotel est en face d'une jolie plage. Je recommande fortement, j'ai passé un très bon séjour

It was clean and comfortable.

The kitchen. We had a breakfast and a dinner. The breakfast was acceptable, but the dinner was not. The fish of the day was burnt and the fried chicken of the cesar salad was so burnt that the bread tasted bitter.

Friendly, clean hotel with a good location if you’re by car

The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. The pool was perfectly sized for the property with more than enough space to sunbathe. Housekeeping came everyday and kept the room nice and clean. The location was perfect if you have a rental car like us, it’s not too touristic or crowded here, but by car really close to the more touristic spaces. 2 minutes walk to the beach, although the beach is not a sand beach, so next time I would bring water shoes.

The doors/walls are not that soundproof, if someone else talks in the other room we could basically hear their conversation from our wall

The Hotel is nice, Staff were lovely especially Julian he was very friendly and helpful.. it is a 25 minute walk into the Port.. €10 in a taxi ..

Very disappointed with the pool.. . the pool area was absolutely filthy, we stayed for 9 days an it wasn't cleaned once, also we noticed the people who weren't staying in the hotel were coming in an using the pool..

Nice and quiet hotel near Port Alcudia

Hotel is located in really quiet and peaceful part of the city. It is near the sea overlooking bay and small park in front. Staff is very polite and helpful. View from the room is nice, and you have large balcony to sit in. Breakfast is good but could have more variety.

We originally reserved Suite, which is located on the far east side of the hotel. This room is more speacious and has kithen, sitting space and is looking towards the poool and road. When we checked in, there was a strong smell of petrol, which we immediatelly noted staff of. As it seems, there is some kind of machine/engine room below this room, which is emmiting this smell due to excessive heat and humidity (it was 36+C this week) Unfortunatelly, hotel was 100% booked so they could only switch us to smaller room, but with sea view. I understand that this is not Hotels fault, and staff really made their best to fix the situation, but it is a bit of a hurdle and it could happen that none of the rooms are available for the switch. Another thing to be aware of, while we knew that hotel is located in this part, nice beaches are all in Port Alcudia ehich is 30minutes walk away, or use the taxi (10e each way) Problem is there is usually a long wait for taxi, especially on weekends, so I would suggest hotel to maybe introduce transfers to Port Alcudia, which would ease guessts the walk.

Nice room / location for it's price.

The room size is great. Especially if you came with a couple of bikes. Nice view, clear, warm sea.

The breakfast and dinner menus look poor. All the drinks including coffee are available for extra fees.

Fantastic hotel and lovely area!

We had a fantastic stay here, the food was great (half board), the pool and sun lounge area was relaxing and well kept, the staff were friendly and helpful and our room was lovely with a good sized balcony. The air conditioning in the rooms was a life saver when temperatures were consistently 28° or higher at night! There was a SPAR attached to the hotel which was really convenient for buying essentials such as water, sun cream, ice lollies and also souvenirs for your stay! The surrounding area was really picturesque and quiet - we liked it even more because it wasn't touristy and was mostly residential for locals. If you're looking for activities to do, Port Alcúdia is only a 30 minute walk away (or 5 minutes by car) and has big beaches, restaurants, shops and offers lots of things to do such as water sports and boat tours.

WiFi could be a bit spotty at times in our particular room but gave us a good excuse to not be on our phones!

A week in paradise at Hotel Seasun Far
