If you want to be immersed in old Delhi this place is perfect.
The bathrooms needed a good clean, drains fixed & new silicone.
We couldn’t make our first night due to a visa issue, we asked for a credited night for the lost night as we planned to stay an extra 2 nights but they wouldn’t help us so we devised to stay elsewhere for those extra 2 nights.

Great personalised service, staff were very generous, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The hotel itself is magical - restored beautifully to it’s original grandeur. Food was delicious and great location tucked away in quiet alleyway. Extra special events like kite flying and traditional Indian dance at dinner added to magic. Very comfy bed. Highly recommend.

The historic quality of the hotel was truly wonderful, as was the rooftop view of the Jama Masjid. The renovations to the Haveli are impressive; we luxuriated like princes here. Performances each evening made our trip very memorable, and the kite flying on the first evening was awesome! Many thanks to the wonderful staff, especially Himanshu and Deep, who provided excellent and professional service. This was honestly the highlight of our time in a monsoon-soaked Delhi!
They are currently working on providing spa facilities, which I wish were available at the time I stayed. Other than that, the place was so delightful. An oasis in the middle of Old Delhi!

Hidden gem. An experience more than just a hotel stay. They had kite flying, live tabla and sitar players, and other experiences set up. Really friendly and helpful staff - made us feel really welcome.
A small problem, but we had trouble figuring out how to turn off the tv.
Another problem due to the location - it’s hard to navigate getting there. Our cabbie almost refused to take us for the last mile or so due to the extremely narrow streets and heavy traffic in Old Delhi, which I guess is to be expected.
Also we weren’t sure what the best spot was to get dropped off at.

Awesome kite flying from the rooftop, lovely room. Great atmosphere and staff.
Stayed in a few restored Havelis in India - this one is beautiful and in a brilliant traditional old Delhi location - but it is crazy overpriced (like 4 times the price) compared to similarly beautifully renovated Havelis we stayed in elsewhere.

The hotel is well located, squeezed into a narrow and cramped street in the old town. The location perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the crowded capital, but in an exclusive edition of a very nicely rebuilt historic building. From the roof there is a view of the Red Fort, Mosque and other temples in the old town. Tasting menu very good, worth a try.
It was difficult to communicate with the staff about rebooking prior to arrival.
Upon arrival and during our stay the hotel staff were very good and helpful.

The room & ambience of the place is lovely. Very palace-y.
But that's about it !!!!
It was a nightmare getting to the place. Seriously, one hell of an experience.
If you have large luggage, this is not the place for you. You have to walk through small, narrow alleys dragging your suitcase & at night, with no street lights.
The hotel was very inconsiderate. My internal (Indigo) flight got cancelled & I could not make it for 1 night. I informed the hotel as soon as the airlines confirmed that there won't be any flights leaving that day. I arrived the next day.
They still charged me for 2 nights as per my original booking despite requesting their consideration under special circumstances. Last min flight cancellation was out of my control.
Getting an Uber was a pain. Overall, it's a big hassel. Not going back!

Amazing building that has been beautifully preserved. Great location in old Delhi perfect for visiting the nearby suites, Jamar Masjid and Chandni Chowk market. Delicious food and perfect place to enjoy your stay in the terrace.
Our room was tiny so we didn’t have any room to put our suitcases down. Wi-Fi didn’t work for us.

The decor and heritage and the cultural aspects of the hotel. The dancing and entertainment provided for the evening was a also a treat. The staff were pleasant and helpful and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The location. I didnt realise we would be in the middle of Old Delhi Market. It was dirty and noisy and very difficult to explore due to the constant traffic and pollution. The food was also very expensive for what it was. We had been in Ladakh for almost a month and this was by far the most expensive meal we had eaten but not the best. There were no other options to eat out close by so we had little choice other than to eat in the hotel. The overall cost may out weigh the experience.

The building & restoration is exquisite. The food in the restaurant was amazing & I wish I had more people with me so I could try more things, super friendly restaurant staff but a little slow in service, especially for lunch & dinner when outside guests are there.
I was underwhelmed & expected more from a boutique property. I didn't receive any communication about my stay, a real oversight given the property's unique location. The Haveli is in a back street, Uber pushed me out on a busy old Delhi road, I had to ask for directions & drag 2 heavy cases, & dodge all the stinky delights of a Delhi alley, which isn't short BTW. No clear signage until I got to the end. It was overwhelming & scary. I notified the GM of the lack of communication & was told because I booked through booking.com I didn't receive pre-arrival info & that most people book their driver, I'm well-travelled in India & ride with Uber everywhere. On departure I discovered the driver rate's overpriced, especially considering how much drivers are paid. Most hotels charge 1700-2000 rp, this place charges 4000rp, Uber is about 600!!! I had emailed the team the day before my arrival, there was no follow-up or questions about my arrival or directions on how to find them. I felt like they didn't care about my bad experience or would even bother to look at procedures to ensure every guest has been clearly communicated with about how they are arriving, what to expect & how to find the team, ie "our team will meet you on the road & will be wearing a red Kurta". I saw other guests arrive on the street & refuse the team's help because they thought they were just another person on a Delhi street trying to hustle them. The room was not up to my standards of cleanliness, especially for the price, the upholstery needs to be cleaned & the walls are heavily marked where furniture rests, there was also a lot of dust in the ornate wooden bed that could be easily wiped with a finger, sticky residue on furniture as well. The AC is quite smelly, I know I have to make allowances for Delhi but there was no attempt to try & give the room a fresh smell.

This is the first stop of my trip to India--Delhi. This high-end hotel is located in a very narrow alley. After getting off the taxi, I have to drag my luggage and walk for a short distance. I arrived late at night. Arrived in Delhi, but I didn't feel scared when I walked to the hotel alone, because the people on the road were very enthusiastic to guide me how to get to the hotel. When I arrived, it was all worth it. There are many places worth taking photos of this amazing building , I was amazed when I opened the door and walked into the room, there was a kite with my name on the bed! After the restoration of this cultural heritage hotel, it has become better, and under the rendering of lights at night, it is another charm of atmosphere. Because there are not many rooms in the hotel, it cannot accommodate large tourist groups, so it is very quiet. The hotel staff is warm and friendly. Although I missed the super-highly rated food in the restaurant because I went to participate in the tour, this is also the reason for me to come back again!
Everything wonderful

the location was excellent but beware they do have two buildings and we ended up with a 5 minute walk to breakfast.
the smells can be overwhelming and leak into the hotel.

All the meals were absolutely outstanding. What I appreciated was that even though I would not ask for it, the servers would bring small bites of food for me to taste. Tables are set perfectly, quality table ware and linen, beautiful, luxurious rooms and large bathrooms. I stayed for two nights and on both nights we had live entertainment: Indian music with two musicians and the second night Indian dancers. It is magical at night with soft lightning and the entertainment in the open courtyard. I loved the kite flying on the rooftop. I was alone on my birthday and had the pleasure to fly a kite! Thank you, Haveli Dharampura, you are the best!!
There was really nothing that I did not like. All was wonderful.

It is authentic, and central in Old Dehli. Lovely restaurant in the main hotel. Individual rooms. Rooftop views. Fabulous staff . We wouldn't have stayed anywhere else it was superb, just a few points to mention as I have above,to be honest to future guests.
We stayed in the golden hotel, the sister one 5 minute walk from the main hotel The street is very busy with motorbikes and very narrow, although the staff escort you through the street .The hotel staff were talking loudly in the middle of the night on both nights and they need a silent ringer on the reception desk phone at night.

Brilliant location in Old Delhi. A real hidden gem in a truly historic building.
Excellent staff and great food.

The haveli hotel is lovely in the sense of the experience of staying at a beautiful heritage house in Old Delhi and living the experience of being in another era.
The hotel is nice but somewhat overrated, room rates are much too high for their worth.

The property and its ambience
There was no mention that the property was not accessible by car. Luggage and getting there with luggage was a strain. Similar was the case when checking out. We had to carry the luggage through narrow roads to reach a place where the car could come.
