Room was very clean including toilet and shower area. Friendly staff.
Very comfortable stay though couldn’t see much of a sea view. Nothing much around the vicinity.

The facilities and hotel itself were comfortable and clean. The staff was incredibly nice and did everything they could to make you happy. The food at the restaurant was superb from the presentation to the quality it was an incredible dining experience.
The rooms were a little outdated and could definitely use a refresh but still were nice and had great views.

All the staffs were so friendly and polite, we communicated without any trouble in English! (I think they speak better English than the hotel staff from Osaka) English tourists will not need to worry about the language! The service was 5-star definitely! It was raining when we arrived and the staffs were already waiting by the door, held umbrella for us and brought the luggage to our room. There was an outdoor pool but it was raining so it was a pity that we couldn’t use it… tennis courts were also free to use!! The room was clean and big, there was the balcony with the view of the Seto bridge(not sure what bridge it was but it was a lovely view) BREAKFAST was AMAZING. Restaurant got great view. We had western style breakfast. It was a set breakfast, small smoothie and small juice (fresh mandarin from the island), salad, small yogurt and fruit jelly, the main which was the eggs Benedict was top notch!! Ps. Coincidentally, the chef of the french restaurant is actually the son of the chef in the town steakhouse (a very homey restaurant as well)!!! We chatted with the manager before we left, again, very friendly. He gave us some cute bookmark made with leafs from the island by the staff to us, such meaningful gifts!!

Great service (perfect English, if you need that). Hotel felt luxurious. Facilities looked great but could not use them since it was too cold. Might be difficult to reach without a car but honestly if you are travelling in this area you should get a car.

Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. The view of bridge from the hotel was also wonderful.
We choose Japanese dinner and Western breakfast during our stay and they were so good.
It could be even bettter if Japanese dinner had lesser fish and more others.

As other reviewers have said, a real hotel. staff to greet you, staff everywhere always friendly and attentive. Lovely ambience, awesome view. Dinner in the Japanese Restaurant was excellent - normally needs to be booked in advance and is Keiseki (spelling may be wrong). Many courses, so expensive, have the Sake trio with it.

Make no mistake, this is a PROPER hotel. From the moment we drove into the car park to the moment we left, the staff were exceptional. Attentive, courteous, welcoming and helpful.
We had a room on the upper floor which was huge with two queen beds, bathroom and everything else you could need. The view over the straights to the bridge and Shikoku beyond was amazing and we were treated to a beautiful sunset. We took dinner in the restaurant under a half board package. If you think this looks a little expensive don’t be put off. I think we had 8 or so courses all of which were amazing and beautifully presented. My wife is pescatarian and they accommodated that with ease with no loss of taste or presentation. Wine is available by the glass if you can’t manage a bottle.
Breakfast was taken in the same restaurant with a choice of Japanese or western. We opted for the former which was enormous and equal quality to the evening’s meal before.
We didn’t have time to check out the other onsite facilities but they looked to be good.
Checkout was efficient and in true Ryokan style the staff saw us off from the steps of the hotel until we were out of sight. A wonderful hotel in a great location and the perfect stop off to or from Shikoku. We will definitely return.

The view was great and the staff were super helpful.
There weren’t many food options around.

The space was definitely worth it. The food (both Japanese and French) was exceptional, even the kid’s menu was incredibly delicious. Loved the view of the ocean and the bridge. Super attentive staff.
A bit overpriced, considering that the facility itself is a little old.
