The overall experience was great from the room atmosphere to the morning breakfast. As usual, this kind of hotel provides
excellent service for a decent price that you cannot hope for at a normal hotel.
I was traveling with my girlfriend by car over summer vacation and we planned to finish our vacation with two-day stay in Himeji. But I must say we were so close to having to sleep in the car because of the so-called silly hotel policy. When we checked in, the receptionist asked us to check out after 12pm each day. Despite we are staying two consecutive days, she said we have to leave the room once and check in again for the next day after 9pm (that means you cannot be in the room from 12 to 9pm). This wasn't described in their web page as well as on Booking.com. So, we complained this to Booking.com and after waiting for one and half hours, we were reluctantly allowed to stay two days without check-in every day. This was unbelievable and we have never encountered such a terrible experience in Japan.
On top of that, that receptionist didn't have manner at all and seemed to have an allergy to foreigners.
I suggest it is better to choose other love hotels if you do not want to argue and complaint in the middle of night.

Great kid friendly accommodations. Babysitters are available but a bit on the expensive side. Plenty of toys to play with.
In all seriousness, this is a love hotel. No kids are allowed. We were traveling through the area during a holiday and this was the only hotel available for under $100. It was super cool to see this part of the Japanese sex subculture. Room was comfortable, clean, and price was incredibly cheap.
Some challenge with communication. Have to take a cab.
