All good and unobtrusive. Staff friendly and intelligent. The quiet and remoteness of the reserve is a tonic for the soul. We happened to be blessed with great weather. Who ever said Cheetahs never prosper?
There was little we could have changed. The outside shower had no towel hook.

We are in awe of the efforts of Hopewell. The staff’s commitment to conservationism and enthusiasm and knowledge of the animals and surroundings is inspiring. The rooms were immaculate with breath-taking views. The cleaning and cooking staff were exceptional and incredibly friendly. Our trip to Hopewell is our most cherished memory, and we are already looking forward to returning.

EVERYTHING! The location, the main house and the lodges were superb! The 180 view over the mountains and waterhole from our terrace where we saw the wild animals drink throughout the day was just MAGICAL! The staff and their service was welcoming, pro active and incredibly kind! The chefs prepared Michelin star quality meals accompanied with an excellent wine assortment. The rangers and guide are very knowledgeable and experienced, not a question they didn’t know the answer to! The atmosphere is calm and serene, positive vibes only! Everything you need was offered or available and so well thought out! Good and comfortable beds and excellent housekeeping twice a day. 10 out of 10 and highly recommended!! Totally worth the amount!

Our villa was beyond beautiful, and the view to die for! The staff ensured we were treated like VIP! Every detail carefully thought of! Our ranger Krystelle was very knowledgeable and sweet, she answered all the questions regarding animals and the kids enjoyed her company! We got to see most of them and our kids loved Oliver the ostrich! The food was delicious and the service personalized. wish we could have stayed longer!
Nothing I can think of!

Christelle was an extremely knowledgeable guide with Paulie an excellent tracker. As the purpose of this stay was to see nature, this was the most important factor in our stay. Second most important was our comfort and ability to relax, with good service and food. Nceba and Oscar provided us with enjoyable food and drinks, often in front of a cosy fire, for which we were most appreciative; we felt like royalty. Our villa/pool was kept in good order by Sylvia, Andiswa and Frank and it was always looking great. We were grateful for the mosquito and bug spray provided, just in case, although we were more grateful still that the mosquitoes seemed to be at the end of their season as the cooler weather came. A really enjoyable trip and we would thoroughly recommend for 2-3 night stay. Very relaxing!
A pool net to allow guests to help insects out of the pool and back into the garden would have been of benefit; it’s only natural that they come for a cooling drink but some of them are unable to find their way back out of the pool.

We had the most amazing experience at Hopewell and couldn't have wanted for more during our two night stay. It is a smaller reserve and because of that you feel that everything has been designed for you and is more intimate. The suites with their own swimming pool are the height of luxury, along with the beautiful lodge where you take your meals and join the other guests (I think they have a maximum of 10, but there were 6 on our first night and four of us on the second). The food is excellent and plentiful and the amazingly friendly staff go out of their way to look after you and make your stay special. The game drives are fascinating and our ranger Jaco, who was extremely knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna on the reserve, together with Paulie his tracker, filled us with confidence that we were in good hands during the twice daily drives. We saw all the animals on every drive and the fact that we were the only vehicle meant we could sit and watch specific groups of animals without worrying about having to move on for another ranger and his guests (which can happen in some of the larger reserves). We had all the time we wanted to spend it the beautiful surroundings, listening to the birdsong and observing life on the reserve. A holiday of a lifetime, making memories that will last forever.
Nothing - it was all perfect.
