Maybe maintain rooms a little more or at least not have the windows nailed shut if air conditioners are not up to standa

Location

With no windows to open , only option was air con … upon turning it on It was leaking water therefore couldn’t be left on . We arrived late from Sydney and were only after a bed for the night … not having any natural air or air con made for an uncomfortable night to say the least

Pleasant and just what we needed to be near our family for Christmas.

Family room was very spacious. And opening up the back door to the lakeside view was incredible.

Back door key didn’t work so bad to walk around to the front again after walking along the lake.

Good.

The location was excellent, right next to Budgewoi lake and a walking path. Lots of trees and we did a few walks along the path, up to Buff Point. Dogs were always on a leash, which is a big plus. Also just a short walk to the local pub and restaurant.

Motel is showing its age and there are a few things that need fixing.

Ok place to sleep

The beds were great and the location was excellent. Cleaning lady was lovely.

No aircon the first night, was told new aircon would be put in during our stay. It was inconvenient but it made for a nicer sleep the second night with aircon. The lamps don’t work . Owner was blunt in his communication.

Excellent value for money.

The size of the room was big, clean and modern. Kitchenette facilities were good. The location was great, nice and quiet on the lake and a close walk to restaurants was a bonus.

I didn't love having to wash the dishes in bathroom sink as this was the only option. Also would be good to have a hook or two outside to hang beach towels to dry. Really nothing to complain about though.

Awesome location - Fishing out your back door!!

What a great location!! Budgewoi Hotel a short walk away, along with other food options. We could fish straight out of our back door and caught a few little fellas. Our room was awesome and the service was fantastic. (Even got a call asking for our eta and giving us instructions for the key box, thank you 😉)

Meeting up with friends at local hotel. Motel was only a couple of minutes walk.

Room spacious and very comfortable. Bedding of a high standard. Fantastic location. I’ve stayed there a number of times and have never been disappointed.

Lovely location

A beautiful location by the river and a lovely walk along the river boardwalk and over the bridge to the lovely local hotel and other eateries. Also a short drive or easy walk to supermarket and other conveniences in the opposite direction. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a lovely view of the river outside our window which lead onto a covered deck. The room was much more inviting than we expected as the outside of the hotel needs some work to add street appeal.

The owner was not in the most wonderful mood when I checked in and the outside of the hotel rooms could do with some updating BUT the interior was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and had everthing we needed for a relaxing night.

lovely stay, just an hour drive from Sydney

it's an exceptional place to stay. Budgewoi is our favourite place for short holidays away from Sydney and the Hibiscus Lakeside Motel is definitely the reason for that. beautiful location, clean rooms, comfortable beds and nice staff. the view from the rooms is incredible. as a bonus suggestion try this activities: have a walk/jog along the lake. it's beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Also, book a dinner at La Bocca, just a 5 min walk from the hotel. if you're a fan of Italians, then don't miss it.

amazing view, great location, lovely staff, close to the shops and the beach

back door key lock wasn’t working, no signal and unfortunately the wifi wasn’t working either. room was a little run down and little dirty, few bugs in the room
