Nice location on our cycle trip. Able to walk down to pub for dinner and the nearby lake is pretty. A great view from the upstairs sitting area.
The bed was very uncomfortable - no support. Plenty of out door space but no facility to sit out in the garden -lost opportuniyt

Enchanting holiday home with all the comforts and loads of space for a family holiday. Loughanure is well located for an off the beaten track vacation - stunning beaches and a variety of walks at your doorstep.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable and it was only a short stroll to the local shop and restaurant which were both great. A wonderful base from which to explore all the beauty of the area! We would love to visit again and are recommending it to friends and family. Thank you Stephen and Dervilla.
No complaints at all!
3.5
Historic space with great scenery and access to local Donegal activities.
The lower level of the house was chilly and as we traveled with an elderly family members, it wasn’t comfortable for them, even after paying extra money into a cash utility box onsite. Seeing the house linens/towels on the backyard line for multiple days wasn’t reassuring as to cleanliness standards, either.
4.5
Easy to find, ease of access and on the wild Atlantic way which I was riding with my brother in law.

was charming and aesthetically appealing.
it was cold, heating only comes on once in the morning and once in the evening. think it’s remotely controlled from elsewhere.

The cottage is lovely and huge, it's for 7 people and it's great. We were only 2 and the dog, and the place was to big for us. For 2 people it's not cozy. The kitchen had everything you needed, bedrooms were big and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and ok. The dining area was very comfortable but we didn't use it because we preferred the sitting area upstaris. Stephen was very helpful. All in all it is a lovely place to stay, I wouldn't use it again if it were only us, but if we had family over, I would definitely visit again.
It was cold! I mean cold cold!!! I don't know if we stayed the coldest week of the year or if the place was too big or if the heating wasn't on enough.

The cottage is spacious, cozy and comfortable. Everything supplied that we needed. We will return and also recommend to friends and family.
Downstairs shower took a while to work out how to get the hot water flowing but otherwise wonderful.

loved the location, the thatch, fire , cosy beds
poor Wi-Fi. could only really have 1 person online at a time

The character of the original building was retained, there was fuel for a turf fire, the blinds kept out the morning sun completely and I have not slept so well in ages.
Given that the house could easily sleep 10, a few more glasses would be a good idea. Otherwise everything was well provided for.

A pretty thatched cottage that is modern and light with a reasonably sized garden for kids to play in. Bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. The area is beautiful with wonderful scenery and the cottage is easy walking distance to the shop/garage and local bar/restaurant. Good communication with the owners.

Was very annoyed to find out they didnt have the dryer facilities they claimed to have on their ad. We were backpacking and had booked planning to do all our laundry at this halfway point and had to take everything with us wet. Also, very deceiving about location and views.....they are in the middle of town with only views of the mountains from upstairs sitting room; they gave you the impression from their photos they were outside of the village with beautiful views and space. Yard was very unkept. Lots of weird instructions about heat and hot water; only available a few hours in the morning and evening then on some coin operated meter??

Amazing gem of a house

The fact you can enter the house at anytime and not rushing for a key pick up and can leave without waiting to drop off keys or wait on anyone . Everything we needed was there even though we had brought our own stuff . Beds and seating areas were very comfortable. 100% Privacy , area was really quiet and the house is a credit to the owners . I can't wait to stay again. The price was the most attractive reason we booked and it didn't disappoint us. When you see an affordable cottage like this on paper you sometimes think there has to be a catch, there wasn't , everything was perfect . Thanks for letting us switch off and relax and giving us a carefree no fuss booking and stay .
Only thing I didn't like was leaving and coming home. I honestly can't fault this house and owners .

Spacious house. Fire was great and great location. House was well equipped and cosey with lovley interior.
Showers lacked power. Check in and check out times quite late and too early.

The Cottage is exceptional and is a brilliant mix of traditional Donegal but with all the Mod cons. We would all cozy up in front of the fire at night. The beaches, especially Carrickfinn beach, are incredible and are a must see.
We went from the Monday to the Friday and unfortunately due to the economy and time of year a lot of businesses and places to go do not open until the weekend. We still had a fabulous time though at the wonderful beaches and in front of the Turf fire.

The cosy feel to a fascinating old cottage.
Nothing- if anything, the local pub was closed during our stay! ( Closed Mon-weds)

Very nice layout. Spacious for a cottage. Very clean and comfortable.
Its not as secluded as protrayed in pictures. There is a main road not lake 70 meters from front door.
But apart from that yes i would stay again

Cosy, clean, full of character. Deceptively spacious, ideal for a quiet getaway.
Not much. Really could find no fault with it.
