The staff were lovely and helpful, it was easy to make the booking and gain access to the property. It was convenient that I could check myself in as I arrived fairly late. It was nice to have the tea making facility and fridge in the room.
The shower required some cleaning and the water pressure was insufficient to wash my hair properly. The room was very stuffy and as on ground floor I did not feel comfortable opening the large window while I was sleeping. Other guests were very noisy at all hours and I was woken a number of times by footsteps, talking, beeping of keypads etc. Personally I would not recommend for solo female traveller and if you are a light sleeper this property may not be suitable.

Our room was very clean, spacious and secure. Perfect location for our visit. Our host, Jay was very communicative and helpful.

Very clean and welcoming
4.5
Very nice clean room with a decent sized space and all the right facilities
The Room No.1 is right next to the front door and people coming in late at night tend to stand right next to the door and hold a mothers meeting which I can hear. Perhaps a sign pointing this out and aksing them to be quiet would help?

Excellent location for walking into town and KK*s Steelmill. It was quiet, so clean and comfortable.
There wasn't anything to not like.
3.0
The comfy bed and access to garden
The room is off the communal kitchen. This meant it was noisy as the washing machine was on constantly during our stay so it was noisy
There are 2 parking g places but only one car can use due to a tree in the way. You have to find a place in the street
4.5
Lovely clean and tidy room, easy check in system.
Bed was on the small side, but not a problem for 1 night. Just use to a bigger bed at home.
3.5
Reasonable price, close to road connections
Difficulty getting in with cases when cars parked on drive ( no separate pedestrian route to door); having to try to get between cars

It was perfect for what I needed as I was working nearby for a week and more comfortable than a hotel. Room was very clean, bed is super comfortable and the house was very quiet. Only communicated with staff via text but all very positive. Room cleaning on request and very thorough.
I don't have any complaints about the accommodation but I would mention that as a single female I would be aware of the location and get taxis if going out at night.

The room was very well appointed. Access to the patio (Garden room) was a highlight. Self-check in and no staff on site worked well with no concerns arising.
While it was amazingly convenient for the work site I was visiting, and 30 seconds away from a McDonalds, the location is a little walk away from the town centre with slightly limited eating or drinking options nearby.
3.5
Clean and very well equipped room, thoughtfully designed with a quiet garden outlook. Handy to have a small kitchenette to prepare a snack. Bed very comfortable and shower good.
Small improvement would be more hooks in the bathroom. The benefit of having a small fridge in the room means you also have the sound of the fridge at night, if that bothers some people. We were fine.

i loved that it was unique compared to a hotel, it was a home from home and felt very welcoming, was quiet and peaceful and any time of day, the shower was lovely and was presented with a welcome card with my name which i thought was a lovely touch.
this is a small thing and i wouldn’t say i didn’t like this but what could be improved; there was mix and match crockery and cups, (e.g 1 wine glass) we did have wine so was a bit of a pain but that’s just being picky. and for someone who likes tea and coffee there was only a couple tea bags and a 2 sachets or sugar, so maybe a few more of each. but again that’s not a negative as we could have always asked for more. all together was a really lovely stay!

Holcombe House is located around the town centre. It has an amazingly clean bathroom with complimentary toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and cosy. The contactless self check-in process was so easy and smooth. A nice location for weekend getaway.

It's evident that this place was set up by someone with hospitality experience by the little things. It has all the facilities of a hotel room but in what I suppose used to be a house.
Might be just me - but the impersonal aspect of it (I did not even see a member of staff, as everything is automated and on-line) made the experience somewhat cold.
As usual with these buildings, sound proofing was poor. The environment is quiet, but you hear the other guests.

Booking really straight forward. L9ve the keycode entry both to the property and the rooms. Have stayed in room 2 and 5 so far. One ground floor with patio doors to garden- really light and airy. One first floor - lovely and cosy. Furnished in calming colourways. Beds comfy, showers good. Having the fridge and microwave along with the little kitchenette is great. You also have use of the communal kitchen - so on longer stays can cook meals, do washing etc. Jay who manages the property is really friendly and helpful. 24 hr McDonald's close by if you get late night munchies. About 15 mins walk to train station and then centre. Taxi is about £5 to station.
Nothing - staying again later in the year 😊
