Very nice accommodation with clean rooms and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The garden is typically Indonesian and beautiful. The hosts are eager to tell about their culture and the way they designed the garden. Very good scooters for rent (100k for small and 150k for large).

Very homely and breath taking beauty all around! So so tranquil and the hosts were kindness itself!
Nothing! Except perhaps milk for the coffee !

the hosts were very kind, welcoming, and generous in sharing everything about their family and Balinese customs. It was a great first stay experience in Bali.
this is a very minor irk and not anything the hosts can change so it doesn't affect my rating- more for awareness: it is about a mile to the main street / city center where the restaurants and cafes are ... a little bit closer to the main area would have made it a lot easier to get around on foot (we love to walk everywhere but the heat is brutal during the day). Day 2 we found we found we definitely needed a scooter to get around. Other than that, we experienced no issues.

I appreciated the kindness of the staff, especially Wirati and her husband, who reside on-site as it's a family-owned business. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations, organized a trip to Gili Island and more, and even had their own scooters available for booking. Everything was perfect.
I liked everything, especially the breakfast.

The place was really cozy, inside a traditional house. Private rooms wee independent and really clean and very nice bathroom. Nyoman, the mother of the family, helped us to organize the visits and rented us the bike for a really good prize.
Not walking distance from ubud center but we have already planned to rent a motorbike.

All I can say is that this homestay is beautiful. The family who run this location are amongst the friendliest I have met in my travels, they are beyond kind and are happy to go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable about the area they call home, but they are wonderfully passionate about their culture, taking pride in educating and helping their guests experience it within a traditional home alongside them. The location is ideal, a walkable distance from most of the popular attractions in Ubud but far enough to avoid being disturbed by the busy city centre. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone coming to visit Ubud if you wish to experience a real traditional Balinese home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Room and installation okey. Actually I had to extend my time there. The house is well maintained and facilities are really good. Impossible to sleep after 4 am neighbor has a roster who makes noice at that time close to my room.
Owner offer me taxi service saying I will pay same amount that the official taxis App Grab established. After he wanted and made me pay more.

I stayed at this place for 5 nights. It’s very peaceful and pleasant stay. I stayed in another hotel for a day more at the city centre but its very crowded. Loved this stay and will recommend for everyone. Also the best part is you can rent bikes directly from the hotel.
Having a long mirror and hair dryer might have been good.

Beautiful Balinese house hosted by warm, friendly and helpful people. The whole family were cheerful and treated us very well. Our daughter had lots of fun and interacted with the hosts' kids as well. They helped us with all our requests like room change to the ground floor, fruit, bags. The accommodation is adequate and comfortable, and the open kitchen is an added bonus. Great value for money. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Sahadewa House to experience local Bali life.
Not a negative. Just highlighting that the property is slightly away from the centre but you can get a Grab/Gojek instantly. It wasn't an issue for us in general.

Everything! I choose it randomly because I needed to sleep somewhere one night and when ai went there I was super surprised! The owners are the sweetest persons, the place it’s very balinese style with their own temple, the room nice and tidy with coffee and tea in the mini terrace. I would absolutely recommend it!
Everything was perfect

Thanks to Sahadewa House our family could experience in a deeper way Balinese culture. I would highy recommend staying here. The hosts are very knowledgeable, speak good English and are passionate about tourism and teaching about the Balinese culture.
We felt very relaxed, at ease, welcomed... They helped us with recommendations etc for our future travels as well. Amazing home stay!

Nice traditional home
Quiet and a bit away from the action for a tourist, but great for someone living there longer and wants to be away from the noise and crowds

I've been in a good number of guest houses in Ubud in the time I was there and this one truly felt like a bedroom to unwind in. Lamps for better lighting, lovely bedding, furnishings. Brilliant breakfasts in the morning and lovely family behind it. A definite standout. They also have water for refilling your bottles - big plus. Great location too in being not far from restaurants etc.
Nothing to add

Absolutely loved my stay and will 100% stay again when I come back to Bali. The owners were so lovely and welcoming. They were happy to help with anything I needed including taxi services and renting motorbikes. The property so beautiful and calming and my room was very spacious and comfortable! Also breakfast was great!

Everything! The host is amazing. When we came to Ubud we didnt have any plans yet so she did a plan for us. She helped us to rent a motorbike. We went to Munduk and Nusa Penida and always came back to Sahadewa House and she always said WELCOME BACK TO HOME. We really felt like home. The breakfast, coffe and tea, biscuits, area, terace ... just prfect! Thanks to everything.

The bed was soft. The staff was friendly. A shared kitchen was offered in case you wanted to cook or use fridge. I would stay here again. The area was quiet. The room was clean. I enjoyed hearing the water fountains in the garden at night.

This was my third trip to Bali and I must tell you, the hosts were extremely sweet and helpful. He went out of his way to take me to get money exchange, helped with bookings for boat and scooty. Extremely comfortable and cozy stay. Loved it

So much could I say about Sahadewa House, but there isn't enough room here. It's far more than just a place to stay, you are sharing a family compound. If you allow it, it is a complete cultural experience. Breakfasts are amazing, rooms are somewhat simple but very comfortable. The family is amazingly accommodating and willing to explain anything. Tours of the island were just as amazing. Again, I can't say enough good things about this place and I really feel sad having to leave it. I will be back!
