Went to relax and rest found this on the river, on the porch in the rocking chairs, watching the fish, birds, wishing I had brought my fishing pole maybe next time..

My family love this area. The view and how peaceful the place is awesome. Recommend to bring a fan because it gets hot time to time. Definitely planning to come back.

This is our 2nd stay at this home. The location on the river is amazing. The last time we we there it was spring. Although the fishing was better in spring we really enjoyed being able to swim to cool off. My husband actually fished while standing in the river. The inside of the house was clean. However, the porch area where we mostly hung out was a bit dusty with pollen and spider webs. I wiped everything down so we could enjoy it more. The bed was comfy and clean. I was looking for an extra flat sheet to put on the couch. However, the 2nd bedroom bed only had fitted sheets on it. We grilled outside, while the grill was small the propane was full and was fine for our needs. The driveway is a little tough getting in and out of. However, the location makes it all worth while. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

We loved the location. Loved sitting on the deck right on the river. Beautiful view!

Nice older cabin. Location was good. The cabin is not stocked well. Be sure to ask if it has what you might need or just bring everything you may need to have. If you enjoy fishing, you will like this place.

Me and the family had a great time here. It was a good location. Clean. The only issue we had was there was no a/c the whole stay we had. We called the management the first night to have someone come out and fix it. No one showed until the day of leaving. It was 85 in the house the whole stay. We was not comfortable. But other than that we enjoyed our stay!

Exactly as described and portrayed. And exactly what we were looking for. Just the two of us so didn’t need a lot of space. Perfect location to hit the Tail of the Dragon and Cherokee on motorcycle. Awesome restaurants and shops nearby but not as packed as the Smokies and other locations. Awesome!!

Location, location, location. This is a perfect location! It's close to everything you need and if you like trout fishing, you're able to catch them in the backyard. Will be a yearly visit now that we found the perfect spot.

Close to town, but not too close. Amazing location near all amenities. The place was quaint and clean. I would definitely rent this property again.

We ended up at River Romance due to water issues with the original booking I placed. So glad that I ended up choosing River romance for the secondary location! Ended up being more of the setting we were looking for. The home was comfortable with a great view, as well as the convenience of being riverfront. There weren't any issues beyond the drier being out of service. Would definitely consider returning during the summer.

Not sure where to start.. master bedroom ceiling is falling in bed frame is falling apart all sheets and pillows are stained and have crumbs like they haven't been replaced or washed since the place was built. Rustic is an overstatement. Couldn't even wash the sheets upon arrival due to the washing machine being unhooked and full of musty water. Ended up checking out early. Only good part was the river bring a sleeping bag. Oh and if your looking for privacy the neighbors constantly wander around the home and have there dogs loose. Maybe replace a few cheap items in the home and keep up on it?

This property was perfect for our 10 day family vacation! The house itself is very minimal and somewhat outdated, which was fine with us because we spent most of our time outside. However, it could use some repairs and deep cleaning, as well as stocking of cooking/eating utensils. I ended up buying and leaving a set of basic steak knives because there were none.
The access to the river and covered picnic area is perfect! Pictures don’t do justice to how gorgeous the view is!
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with the management company. While preparing for our trip, I noticed some fine print stating that the washing machine wasn’t currently working. I emailed Vacasa 3 days before check-in to inquire and did not receive a response until over a week later.
When we arrived, the hot tub water was cloudy and had a foul odor. We called the management company multiple times over several days. We FINALLY got a call back after the 3rd call. They asked that we email pictures, which we did. That was 5 days into our 10 day trip, and I’ve yet to get a response (even though it was “escalated”). Thank goodness we didn’t have any major problems because management's response is majorly lacking.

Loved the vacation home! Right on the River! So relaxing and beautiful! Clean and comfortable!

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was the cutest small cabin! Right on the water! It’s small, the king size bed was not uncomfortable. The kitchen was small and lacked a few things we could have used but we made it work! The town is small and cute also! We brought the motorcycle so there was lots of nice rides in the area! We Would definitely stay here again!!

Gorgeous spot on the river. Excellent fishing, quaint town, friendly people and great central location for exploring tge area.
Cabin is a bit antiquated but the view and hot tub made up for the few flaws! The cabin was well equipped for preparing meals.

Nice location along the River. Entrance to driveway is hard to see due to trees and curve. Clean. Repairs needed, but nothing that impedes a good night’s sleep. Balcony is a lovely place to chill and watch the water dance past.

Location is right on the river, beautiful spot. Best part is the hot tub looking out over the river. Quite rustic and could use a little TLC. Paint coming down from the ceiling in the bathroom and master. Overall though a nice quiet place, close to town. A good getaway for relaxing and nearby hiking.

Similarly to the previous reviewer, I do not understand how this property has so many highly rated reviews. I’ve never had an issue renting through VRBO until this rental. The listing is deceiving & does not represent the property in its current state. Despite the staff still being on site an hour after check in time the property never appeared to have been cleaned. This is very worrisome considering we are still in the middle of a pandemic. The structure of the entire house is actually slanted forward and looks to be losing its structural integrity. The kitchen cabinets were damaged and had food and dirt crusted on them and the dishes provided were dirty as well. The refrigerator is old and rusting. The couch is very well worn and aged. The ceiling in the bathroom is peeling and falling down accompanied by a sink that has dirt build up. The hot tub is browning and looks unhygienic amongst many other issues with the property. The front door would not lock & we deemed it unsafe to stay in as well as leave our belongings in and left immediately having o book a hotel to stay in for our trip instead. We communicated our disappointment with management regarding not only the state of the property, the staff making us uncomfortable, as well as the safety/security issues. Their only resolution was to send the same staff out to clean the property after we discussed how uncomfortable they made us feel when we arrived. They also all but short of called us liars and told us the lock to the front door worked fine. I am accustomed to this style of lock and we tried a dozen times to get the door to lock & it would not. I typically don’t leave negative reviews… however I would hate to see someone else be deceived by this inaccurate listing and spend their hard earned money on a poorly maintained property like we had. We had intended to take a much needed vacation that instead turned into a stress inducing nightmare. Spend the money on a motel and spend less to receive the same experience. You can pay less for a nice reliable hotel room for less than this property is being booked for.

Great spot for our party of 5, our 3 year old was entertained with the water, the stairs and playing in the yard! My husband was able to fish the whole time, we saw many fish but not much biting. Grill was exceptionally clean, although we didn't use it. Listing stated firewood wasn't provided, but of course we forgot that! We all enjoyed our stay and plan to return again!

The moment we walked into this cabin we were hit with a strong mold & animal smell. Our eyes were itchy almost immediately. We turned on the HVAC to try and refresh the air but after 30 mins it only made it worse. We were not able to stay inside the cabin at all. We called vacasa and they tried to help us find a new place. We enedup having to find a hotel for our stay as there is no way it would be safe to stay in this cabin. I have no idea how it is getting all these high reviews.

Love river, love spa, love location.

The cabin was nice and enough space for the 2 of us. We sat under the pavillion listened to the river and just relaxed. The hot tub was nice also. We would live to visit there again! The cabin is close to everything, plenty of day trips and eating out at different restaurants was nice. All in all this was a good trip. Thank you!

Close enough to town but felt like an escape. The hot tub, grill, pavilion and fire place as well as the river were all well used amenities. Family had a great time, would definitely book here again.
