Good place to stay on the way from Cape Town to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

Very good breakfast and dinner which we order before by mail. The place is 4 hours drive from Cape Town and 6 hours to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park so is good place to stay if you arrive to Cape Town by plane and not able to reach the park in one day. Place is quiet. You can buy from the owner very good hand collected roiboos tea, home made confiture and fire wood for further trip.In the town is well stocked Supermarket Spaar and filling station.

Great stay

Beautiful little cottage with amazing views. Lovely owner. We would have loved to stay longer. If you are looking for somewhere to stay during the wildflower season don't hesitate to stay at Maskam Guest Farm.

Quiet and clean accomodation on a farm on our way to Namibia . Approx 10 km to Vanrynsdorp with a few restaurants.Solar powered house. Nice friendly owners.

Fantastic find. Spectacular scenery. Warm hospitality.

What a beautiful place. A warm and friendly welcome. It's was peaceful and quiet. The mountains are spectacular. I enjoyed the birds and the wide open space. Breakfast was delicious.

I didn't like that I had to leave! I would have loved to have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect. Accommodation was very well priced, amazing scenery, Gifberg pass is a must. Loved my little cottage has all the amenities needed. Had the farm bake bread, the host was most hospitable. Coming back, during the flower season.

A little piece of paradise.

The setting was exquisite, the staff was so friendly and the animals were delightful. It also had a lovely swimming pool. They have solar, so loadshedding wasn't an issue except for water, but they had a generator for that.

Lovely room, peaceful location

A lovely comfortable room set in a beautiful, peaceful location and the host was absolutely delightful - we stayed here on our way from Cape Town to Kgalagadi and it was the perfect stop over!

Superb

Maskam is beautiful. Great location with stunning views of the dam and majestic mountains. We loved the fresh linen and towels. The gravel road to the farm is well maintained, making the last leg of the trip fun and enjoyable.

Lovely home away from home.

We loved the isolation and distance from the city so that we could have a clear view of the night sky (before the clouds rolled in). We especially loved the freshly baked Sourdough bread we could order from our hostess Ancarene, delicious with her home-made jams.

There was nothing we disliked.

Great Farm stay in a wonderful location near Vanrhynsdorp.

Great remote location near Vanrhynsdorp, friendly and homely accommodation in well-equipped chalets within the extensive farm grounds surrounded by majestic mountains. The two trails (walk or drive) within the valley had beautiful flowers and birds and the drive up the very scenic Gifberg pass was fabulous. Breakfast and dinner were very good.

The road from Vanrhynsdorp is largely unsealed but perfectly OK for our 2WD. Dinner was excellent and substantial, we were asked in advance of any allergies etc but then understandably there is no choice. Lamb features heavily and it was wonderful.
