Perfect for our needs.

Perfect location for the cruise port. Very spacious & modern rooms. Handy for the town with bars & restaurants.

From the outside it is a bit worrying as it is in a larger very old building with shops & offices, but once inside it is fine.

Absence of an elevator spoils an otherwise very good accommodation.

Room was clean and comfortable and location was great, near the cruise shuttle bus depot.

No elevator and four flights of stairs to get to the room - very difficult with luggage!!!

Value for money

It was close to the port for us to get to our cruise the next day. Great location, close to everything. Very clean. Really impressed with the place.

Nothing really. I just wish there was coffee the next morning. (If there was I missed it)

Exceptional

This guesthouse is a hidden gem in Civitavecchia! It is located across from the cruise port and a block away from the free cruise boat shuttle. It is close to everything and a short 10 minute walk to the train station. The property has been recently renovated and is a beautiful, warm and welcoming space (just note you have to walk up a few flights of stairs as there is no elevator). The space has 4 rooms available to book with a shared kitchen/dining/living space. The refrigerator is stocked with refillable cold glass water bottles which came in handy during our stay. Each room is quite and relaxing. Peter was our host when we arrived. He helped book our taxi from the airport, greeted us at the front door, helped carry our bags up the stairs and shared his recommendations for pizza, seafood and gelato! We immediately went for the gelato and it did not disappoint. If we didn't have such an early flight out of FCO, I wish I could have stayed at here after our cruise. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lack of Staff was Disappointing

Nice room that was clean. The property was well maintained.

I was surprised there was no staff. I had canceled a different property and booked here because reviews were positive on the staff assistance. There was none. All arrangements were done through the computer, and when writing about arrival times, I was totally ignored. The rooms were on the third floor (2nd in Europe) which was a climb for me with luggage). There was no indication in my instructions which room we would be occupying, so I was fortunate to arrive early and locate a housekeeper who called someone to find out. Call me old-fashioned but I like a contact at the hotel. There was also no breakfast, which I find usually offered in a "guest house."

Clean tidy and perfect night before a cruise stop over. I'd change the security codes

No breakfast this year. New ownership and less personal. Rooms clean and tidy, shower and toilet clean. Excellent location for cruise port.

Security didn't feel great. We had rooms two and three with access codes of 2222 and 3333. Think I could have worked out the others !

Very old and I though what have I booked, however very modern room and fantastic bathroom and shower.

Close to port as I wanted.

Had to climb 52 stair’s With luggage. Peter did help us bring the luggage upstairs. Very thankful for Peter to help us. Said shuttle bus provided, however you had to walk down the street about 600 metres or so with luggage to then join the terminal.

A big disappointment!, the dirty kitchen was the biggest turn off

The location was great

We felt abandoned, there was no one around, we had no toilet paper, the kitchen was dirty, never saw anyone, for breakfast there was one coffee pod each the first morning, none the second day, after all the great reviews it was as if the season was over and the person in charge didn’t care anymore perhaps when they are busy they put more effort into it !

Great service!

The hosts took our bags up the stairs for us, as well as brought them down when we left. The hosts also arranged a ride for us to the port to catch our ship. Exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was awesome. I would use them again.

Location was good for a short stay.

The location was perfect for getting to the cruise terminal and access to shopping and restaurants. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating, the host made a delicious breakfast for us each morning.

The location was on a busy street and with the windows open it was very noisy, with garbage collection at 1:00 am. For someone with mobility issues the rooms were on the third floor with no elevator access. The hosts did carry our suitcases up for us which was very helpful. The bed was in my opinion very hard.

We couldn’t have had a better stay it was perfect. For an additional fee we were picked up at the airport, very convenie

the hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable for a pre cruise trip. The place was spotless and the beds were very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful and varied.

Very pleasant for one night for a longer stay the bathroom would have been a big issue!

Lovely hosts Location was great for the port room was comfortable and clean and a great breakfast. The owner picked us up from the airport at a reasonable cost and the following morning took us to the port bus.

Although I was informed the bathroom was external from the room and for our use only I had assumed it was next to it in fact it was some distance from the room and doubled as a laundry very dated and mouldy around the shower enclosure.
