The shuttle to the cruise was efficient
We were staying 1 night before getting on a cruise to celebrate our honeymoon.
When we arrived we were told our room would be ready in 30 mins and when we returned we were told that our room was not actually available as there was no air-conditioning so they could not allow us to stay in the room.
Their only option was to put us in 2 tiny single rooms on opposite sides of the hotel (one of which was a smokers room and we are both non-smokers and I am pregnant!) and there was nothing else they could do.
The only compensation we got was breakfast (which was poor) and a shuttle to the cruise ship, no discount on the room given.
Not the start we wanted for our honeymoon - very disappointing and would not recommend staying here unless you are happy to put up with a dated hotel for one night and the risk that you're not able to stay in the same room as your family.

the breakfast was very nice. The location was close to the port. The room had air that worked well
what in the world are the many stains on the filthy carpet? I wore shows the entire time because the carpet was so awful. The place was worn out, ragged, stains on the walls, upholstery, and god-awful carpet. CLEAN and paint it

I loved this boutique hotel. The lobby was a welcome area to sit for a while. The rooms were comfortable. The hotel was quiet and well situated within walking distance of shops, restaurants, train station, and the sea.
I can't think of a thing that I didn't like. The staff were always polite and helpful so no complaints there.

Loved the double decker room and spacious old style windows and amazing view.
Location was perfect!
Front desk Staff was helpful and maid service was efficient, discreet. Staff helped with luggage twice!:)
Our friends room wasn’t the same and there was a big party above them on the last night.

very little except convenient to get everywhere
we were first of all given a duplex room which has open stairs. Fine for young people but at 79 pretty dangerous. We had ordered and paid for a deluxe sea front room. After 2pm returned to take our room. This time a rather dark room on the side road opposite another building. If one stretched one’s neck to the left saw the sea. The Manager wasn’t very pleasant to us when we refused to take the duplex. It took a day and a half to come back to us with an answer re a preordered cab to Rome airport on Monday. We walked to the train station and ordered from the tourist office instead and left the hotel at 7.30 am this morning as could not trust the hotel to leave us stranded. Bath/showere much too high for elderly people to climb over and under shower. Red carpet up front stairs extremely dirty. We arrived for breakfast the first day to find not a lot left of the self service buffet as a basket ball team was staying and had cleared the decks. Bed very lumpy and old and made a lot of noise when turning over or leaving the bed in the night when using the bathroom. All in all will never be going back to this hotel again despite having stayed there on two occasions pre covid. Wish we had gone straight to the airport upon leaving the cruise ship as it all cost us a lot of money for hotel, airport taxi and eating out and we were pleased to leave this morning for our journey home. Shame as we like Cittaveccia.
Added to this there is no secure place to store luggage and when we came back the first day to get our room discovered that the luggage was stored at the bottom of a public staircase.

Location to port
Very rundown, dark un welcoming
3.5
Great position, close to the port, the city center and beach front. The staff is very kind, helpful and keen to solve any of my doubts. Breakfast was good as well, both salty and sweet.
Breakfast was good, but for a 4 star I would have expected some more products and quality.

Breakfast was excellent. Good hygiene measures in place
The air conditioning was not as strong and so the room didn't cool to the temperature I prefer

The Bed and pillows there rock hard, so I didn't sleep very well at all. They was also very under staffed in the restaurant for breakfast and the selection was very limited and not worth the extra money we paid for it.
Because of being under staffed the tables were all full of dirty plates/cups and had to wait quite a while to get a hot drink ect,but they was doing their best under the circumstances.

Friendly staff
Quite noisy
