Amazing room!!

Excellent location inside the walls of Obidos. The balcony view was amazing from the comfortable bed. Restaurant below the room was delicious for dinner.

A night in Obidos

It had a wonderful view of the wall that surrounds the village. Our contact there was hugely helpful. Even though it was on a very busy street, it was very quiet after 6 pm

Outstanding! A guesthouse venue in Obidos that we plan to return to many times.

Central location, clean facilities, and closeness to breakfast pastry shops and restaurants. Large room, great mattress, and an adequate privy. Availability of morning coffee and tea facilities in-house. Adequate central room for guest get-togethers outside of rooms. Quirky and original sink in the room.

My only concern was that the bathing facilities raised safety issues since there were no handrails in the shower/bath area to facilitate entrance and exit as well as for stability in the bathtub. Additionally, the tub floor did not have either strip guards or a sturdy bath mat so stability when bathing was a significant concern.

I loved the location and the decor. The host thought of every little detail and turned this mini hotel into an amazing, charming, classy place. And she even waited for us with a bottle of delicious champagne! . We loved every minute of our stay.

A great choice for a few days in Obidos

The location is perfect. The rooms have a lovely design, are spacious and the bathtub is an extra plus.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and would stay here again in the future.

This hotel was perfection. The location absolutely cannot be beat. While the hotel itself is small, it is located on a main road, approximately three minutes walking from the town entrance. I received a text the day before check-in with instructions on opening both the front door and the door to my room. My room had a small terrace that opened out to a stunning view of the perimeter wall and the street below. The owners even left a bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge for me. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom beautifully decorated and with very nice artisanal toiletries for use. The only thing I disliked about my stay is that it was only for one night.

As Obidos is a historical location, cars are not allowed within town walls. Parking is in a dirt lot approximately ten minutes' walk to the hotel. This is nothing within the hotel's control, and a very small price to pay in my opinion. It is worth mentioning if you are travelling with a lot of heavy luggage and/or children or people with compromised mobility. Be aware that all hotels in this area will likely be similar.

Favorite accommodation in our travels in Portugal.

Location, spacious, fabulous bathroom, comfortable bed, great view of the city wall outside the balcony, beautiful view from the balcony. We never met staff. We received check in instructions which gave us access to the room. Each room also received a bottle of bubbles.

There was no coffee or black tea in the lounge.

Great location, right in the middle of Obidos. Willfully quirky but very stylish decor. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Quiet at night. Nice touches like a chilled bottle of sparkling wine. Fridge to share.

Nothing whatsoever to dislike.

House is cold and old. Heavy and noisy doors and also noisy neighbors (they though they were alone in the house).

Lovely room

The building entrance is located on Main street (Rua direita), and the room had a view to Rua Josefa de Óbidos. We were sent the instructions to get in the apartment by email so the check-in was very straightforward. The room was tidy and just the perfect size for a couple. In the room we noticed that there was a hidden kitchen; I suppose we could have used it if we had asked the property owner beforehand. We loved the design of the bathroom with a fancy sink. At the time of our visit we were offered a free "Spumante", which we gladly accepted.

The shower door couldn't prevent water from coming out and the bath floor towel was slightly wet after someone had a shower.

Such a lovely little room places in a old building just in the beginning of the Main Street of the city. Enjoyed the bath tub and the comfortable atmosphere. Catarina we’re so friendly, gave us easy instructions on how to lock ourselves in and answered us quickly every time we had a question.

Experience of staying in this walled city- unforgetable, the photos, the food, the music, ambiance.

The guesthouse is a short walk inside the Obidos walled city. We rolled our luggage a short distance to the guesthouse. We parked by the aquaduct outside the city for a very reasonable price per night. Oh Oh Oh! We had a fabulous meal at Petrarum Domus restaurant . The vibe in this walled city was amazing - the banners, the costumes, the music, the light. It will ever stay in our memory.
