Absolutely charming guesthouse right at an entrance gate to the walled town. The home is steeped in history and the host is absolutely lovely. The breakfast they offer was absolutely the best breakfast we had on our two week trip. The homemade natas and lemon curd made from lemons on the grounds really speak to the care and love the owners put into the guest experience. We lived Obidos and our stay here.
Charming, fantastic location, amazing breakfast

The location was superb and the hosts were as hospitable and compassionate as anyone could wish for. As we were leaving early in the morning, they rose and treated us with the care and coffee that made us feel
Like family and so so we’ll cared for.

Location was perfect.

What a charming house in Obidos! It’s one of the few houses that are still in their original form from when they were built. The hosts have kept as much of the original decor as possible. We had such a wonderful stay with the great hosts. The location is amazing and the breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.

Casa Picva was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. Lovely hosts, a delicious breakfast, and a garden perfect to curl up in with a wine and book. Paired with comfortable beds, a great shower, and a very clean room, our only regret is staying here for just one night!
Nothing not to like!

large room. Charming host. quiet area. Wonderful breakfast for 9 Eur; host baked fresh hot bread, made fresh orange juice and had lemon curd from his lemon tree. Quality meats, cheeses, yogurt, granola, fruits. The structure was built in 1760 as a getaway home for the host's family that was living in Lisboa. Home is a historical home with an amazing breakfast dining room with an 18th century dining table. Location is right outside the City wall and there is an entrance to the City through the City's wall just outside the home. Would stay there again without hesitation.

The location is perfect, just outside of the wall and door to inside is 10m away.
The breakfast in the dining room is really good. All is home made.
No complaint. The owner is very nice.

Great host taking time to give pertinent local information of city, clean and beautiful house in wonderful location. Comfy and clean bed. Beautiful garden with amazing sunrise view from the bedroom

It is the beautiful hotel in the old house. There are only 3 rooms - standard, superior and delux. All rooms have access to the garden and garden view. We ordered a standard room, but owner changed for superior, because it was free.
Wonderfull brekfest in the interior of the 17th century.
The owners Anna with her husband were very attentive and caring.
The electric battery worked poorly and almost did not heat.

Beautiful home in ideal location for visiting the old city.

We loved everything about our stay and would absolutely love to return. Ana, our host and owner, was wonderful, and the breakfast she provided was perfect. The house was literally across a narrow street from an entrance to the walled city allowing easy access to the town's charm. Casa Picva is A+!

We enjoyed staying this place a lot. It is located just in front of casle gate and very convinient. Owner was very helpful, pleasant and shared interesting history and background of Casa Picva along with its beautiful decor, funitures, and items. We also loved beakfast, packed with fresh and homemade tastes in the beautiful dining table.

Excellent location, quiet, large rooms, roomy bathrooms. Comfortable beds. A little parking spot at the front door. Breakfast was very good. The house is 17th century (from memory!) with beautiful art & pieces that complement. The host was very knowledgeable and friendly. Lovely garden too! We'd stay again & would highly recommend to others.

The host is super nice! He made fantastic breakfast with freshly baked Nata for us in the morning. We had lovely chat about the local and surrounding areas. The house was built in 1700s with some furnitures from that time, which is full of characters. The garden has lemon and orange trees. The host used the fresh picked fruits as ingredients for the breakfast. Really enjoy the stay. Best experience!

The host was wonderful, sharing the treasured antiques and artifacts of his home. He made a wonderful breakfast which was served in the palatial dining room with other guests. It was wonderful to meet people from Brazil, Cuba and Miami while touring Portugal.
The bed was a bit hard for our liking, though it was typical of antique furnishings.

This was a perfect find for our last couple of days in Portugal! Our Hosts were wonderful and their home / guest house is exceptional! 18th century intrigue and wonder! Our garden view was spectacular - we sat out in the evening and drank port looking out over the view. Casa Picva is nestled right next to the old Castle wall of Obidos which one easily slips into through one of the side gates into this awesome medival town a few metres from their lovely home’s entrance. We loved our stay here very much and would definitely come again, and for a longer visit. The town gets throngs of tourists during the season and Casa Picva is a welcome haven, after spending a few hours exploring this incredible town, to rest in quiet historic and beautiful surroundings. Next time we come, we will definitely say yes to the home-cooked breafast eaten in their gorgeous dining room - their fresh, homemade Pastels de natas were the best we tasted!

Location. Right outside the city wall of Obidos, across from a little known side entrance into the old town.
Breakfast. Great coffee and homemade Pasteis de Nata tarts, plus plus ...
Style. 300-400 year old house complete with very old antiques, paintings, mirrors etc. If you want New or the Sheraton, this isn't the place for you.
Price. The best value we have had in Portugal.

The breakfast was exceptional. Lots of delicious choices. The host was most helpful and informative.
Only that we had not booked a longer stay.

The building is ancient and very well maintained. The man who welcomed us is very kind. He made us taste a typical liquor of the place.
The room was very clean, the garden little but lovely. Inside the room there were 2 bottles of still water for free.
We hadn't the breakfast included but he prepared to us a delicious espresso and a just-baked pastel del nata. It was very kind of him, a pity that we stayed there only one night but I really recommend this place. In front of the walls of the small city it is very comfortable and the garden is an oasis of peace..

Charming guesthouse in excellent location , great breakfast in sumptuous surroundings

this property is a museum in itself with so much history and old paintings and artifacts housed in it. Being a history buff myself I was intrigued by all fascinating little stories and anecdotes shared by the owner. The facilities are very good and the location is excellent for exploring Obidos whenever you feel like

Great location just outside the old wall and very near an entry gate. Parking is available just outside the front door. We arrived in the late afternoon and were able to visit Obidos after the crowds had already left. Breakfast was family style and they were very accommodating to my gluten alergy.
It is a clean, comfortable and convenient location, but nothing fancy. The home is historically significant and works well for a one night stop-over. Our host's English is limited but we were able to communicate effectively to find out basic information like where to eat dinner.

Location was perfect. Breakfast to purchase was wonderful.
Was hard to figure out how to let them know you had arrived, it was a personal residence so locked door. I finally realized there was a doorbell hidden by the tree branches.

The owners were charming and onsite. The home is 300 years old and full of antiques and history. There was a peaceful garden with a view right beyond our door. It is a great location to reach all of the sites, shops and restaurants - try Ja!mon Ja!mon (you can see it from the garden). The rooms were super clean with all the needed amenities. Don't hesitate to book this place - you'll be glad you did.
We enjoyed the breakfast, but thought it could be more substantial...maybe adding eggs and more fruit.
