Superb

Location is great! It's right by an entrance up to the top of the city walls and close to the bus stop. It's a bit tough to find so know it's attached to the Adega do Ramada restaurant, door and tiny sign just next to it. If no one is there to open the door, go to the restaurant.

Loved the location and charming set up. Perfect for my one night stay. Staff we so kind at check and helped make the process very smooth.

The address of the property listed in Booking.com is wrong due to google issues. The actual location is just 75m away above Ageda do Ramada restaurant. On. Tv. Nossa Sra. do Rosario 5, 2510-070 Óbidos, Portugal

I would definitely stay there again! I actually enjoyed this location the most on my vacation.

Everything!!! It was close to the entrance, so you don’t need to carry your bags far. The room was so cute and the location was perfect! Very clean and the staff member that gave us the key was friendly.

Beautiful and sweet house with very nice hosts

Everything was nice and comfortable, the house is beautiful and the room was so clean and welcoming. It is located in the center of the old town and close to everything. The hosts were very nice and agreed to come and check us in although we arrived after check in time since we had problems on our way.

Check in is closed at 19:00 which is a bit early (the hosts live far from the town). Unfortunately we had no way to inform them we were going to be late so they already left, but came back specially for us. Also the house has cups and plates for the guests but no kitchen or sink to wash them or fill the kettle...

The place is very cosy, comfortable bed. A shared place with some chairs around a woodstove. Perfect situation. Very friendly host. We were "upgrated" and got a better room for free. We recommand !

We travel in January and the room was a bit chilly and humid. The small heating device was very welcome. Erratic Wi-Fi.

Stay at the Foral Guest House

This hotel is located within the historic walls and there’s not really a bad location within the historic walls… the whole little town was enormously charming. But, even still, our location was even better because we were above a restaurant where we ended up eating a delicious dinner and being waited on by the feral cat in love with our waitress. The interior was really lovely – white dabbed walls and dark wood trim. Our room felt clean and modern, reasonably spacy. This was probably the biggest bathroom and shower we encountered in Portugal – lovely. We liked that the lobby offered fruit, coffee, and tea. The manager let us keep our baggage in the lobby for a bit and was generally very nice.

While she was communicative as we were traveling there, her communication was a bit confusing, first implying that she was picking us up at the train and then not – it may have been a language barrier. It was also complicated that she had to travel from her home north of Obidos to let us in, such that we had to closely coordinate arrival time – it seems they could arrange a lockbox or something. In related information, guests to this place should know that the train station is permanently closed so when you arrive, you’re not sure you’ve arrived to the right spot. You’re also a good few miles from the town walls and can only hope and pray a taxi is there waiting for potential train drop-offs, because the taxi numbers on the wall are not up to date. Lucky for us, Tony the taxi guy was hanging out and drove us in... and ended up driving us to Nazare the next day ($30 euros) … because, in another fact tourists should know, there are no buses or trains on Sundays from or to Obidos.

Magical travel back in time in central Obidos with all modern comforts

The whole experience was like a dream. This gorgeous little guesthouse is inside the magical walls of Obidos. It is literally in the center of the village, a couple minutes walk from the castle itself, and yet still very quiet. By day the town comes alive with charming tourists and locals (at least in our case, as there was a chocolate festival going on). The room was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. A pellet stove in the common area and space heaters in the room kept us toasty on a chilly night. The house itself is beautifully decorated and coffee, tea, etc. is on hand. We were very late to check in due to car problems and the hostess was very gracious and met us after midnight (don't suggest doing this!) - thank you so much!!! Cannot wait to return!

Peaceful and relaxing and exactly what I needed!

The location was amazing! It was directly in the center of everything so I was able to shop around and return to my room back and forth easily as I needed. The owner was extremely hospitable and responded to me right away using WhatsApp whenever I had any questions.

Good choise for a night in the city center of a medieval village

Situated in the city center. The host was very kind. She offered us water, tea and biscuits. Cozy and medieval vibes. Good price for what the house offers.

There were some problems with the wi-fi and also with the toilet. No hot water and no water for the wc.

The room is extremely small, it’s so small that you can hardly walk around the room.

Right in the centre.

Small bathroom and there is no air conditioning so you need to keep the windows open, but there is noise from the restaurant downstairs so we didn’t sleep very well.

The location is perfect, right within the castle walls. The hosts were very nice and available. The room is quite small, but the bed is big, and you get a private bathroom. It was great that we could use the fridge and some cutlery downstairs. Would be even better if there was a stove/cooking facilities!

Excellent! Such a nice and friendly space! Owner: a nice lady who really makes you feel welcome

There was a communal space with a fridge where we could eat. And the hall upstairs had a nice couch and chairs. Exactly what you miss when travelling. The atmosphere and decoration of it all was really nice.

Great stay inside Óbidos

Great location inside Óbidos village walls. Comfortable rooms with the medieval subject. Simple but nice decoration that keeps you in the environment of the village.

Rooms are small, but not surprising in the location. Not a problem, but need to mention the outside temporary works, but proper warning was given before reservation, so we were already aware.

The perfect base from which to explore Obidos.

This little guesthouse is in a perfect location in the town. The owner met us and was kind and helpful, and we felt very at home.

The rooms were quite small, but very comfortable.

Great stay!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Foral Guest House. Everything was clean and seemed very well taken care of. There was free tea, coffee and water for the guests. Besides of that the guests are always allowed to use cutlery and plates, as well as the fridge. The Check-in was uncomplicated and nice, Nini is very friendly and welcoming. Great location in middle of the little streets of Óbidos. Restaurants, handicraft shops and much more things to explore (for example the castle of Obidos).

We liked everything :)
