A beautiful historical home and gardens. Has a huge bedroom with three bright windows and an exceptionally large and comfortable bed. Having private access to a large lounge downstairs is also a brilliant experience and allows you to fully enjoy the environment and history of the property. Highly recommend for a unique experience. In a great location too, very close to Derry as well as Donegal landmarks. Amelia is a great host and the breakfast was lovely too!

Amelia, Or Hostess with the mostess was able to accomodate my rising at 6 o clock and my beautiful wife lying on until 9.30 . She went above and beyond our every request, Breakfast was more than unique being entertained by the resident red squirrels outside our window, along with the bunny rabbits, dancing and playing on the lawn beyond the cannons of a byegone age standing guard at the front of the manor. Downton Abbey with a beautiful DONEGAL twist .The gardens are worthy of more than a few hours of leisure time,. Have a chat with Andy the resident gardener, who has worked in this garden SINCE the 1940s. At over eighty years of age his work is his life blood. We had the pleasure of meeting Ann, Amelis mother a beautiful lady.My wife and i stayed two nights to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. i came away chilled out.

The rooms were amazing. I was astonished that I had a beautiful living room with such high ceilings. I could imagine reading a book in a corner of the room or playing cards with friends around the table in the center of the room.
The gardens are a sight to behold. They are like the botanical gardens but more natural. The buzzing of the bees while I was there was rather loud. The grounds were serene and I found myself taking a moment on the many benches to enjoy the envirnoment.
I should have stayed longer.
