Good location

Location. Good sized room. Nice furnishing. Good breakfast. Cozy atmosphere.

The shower head and tap were not clean enough. The jacuzzi bath was missing part of the shower screen and it was dark. One of the lights in the room was flashing. The bed was to soft, but it looks like is a trend in Scotland. The breakfast food is self service, and it was not replenished after a big group. I think the host does a good job for one person, but some details are missed.

Close to the lock but better places to stay

The property was close to the locks. The young man serving breakfast was excellent, helpful informative and and an all round good egg.

Our arrival was thirty minutes before allowed check in. It he two team members in the garden were brusque and clearly not interested in giving a good first impression. I know we were early but a nice hello costs nothing. After a long journey two members of the group were desperate for a comfort break, the male did grudgingly check to see if our rooms were ready, they were not, which is strange, only half an hour to go, but we were early. They did allow us to us a team member toilet. The White House advertises itself as executive, maybe five years ago. It is a nice property but very tired, with the carpets and furniture needing replacing, pictures submitted. Cleaning could also be improved, check the tops of your bathroom cabinets. Also breakfast cereal area not cleaned, picture taken in the evening. I would not return as felt overpriced for quality,

OK B&B

Great location, easy access with car and 1 min walk from centre. Room was ok, as expected from a B&B. Scottish breakfast, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee in a nice breakfast room. Room 7 on top floor has a separate bathroom but that is really ok.

Booked at 6.30 pm and did not reach the host on any given phone number. Young lady in the garden house called the owner for the room number eventually. Bed was too soft for me.

This is a clean basic B&B; facilities clean and comfortable. Host was very helpful with suggestions of activities and places to visit.

Sympathique ☺️

Sympathique B&B idéalement situé. Chambre confortable, et spacieuse. Salle de bain avec baignoire jacuzzi (trop grande). La nuit fut calme, néanmoins nous entendions les voitures circuler sur la route à côté, sans que cela soit dérangeant. Excellent petit déjeuner dans une très belle salle à manger. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques. Et il y a un parking privé ! Une adresse à retenir ^^

La taille de la baignoire, trop grande, trop longue à remplir, et … énorme quantité d’eau pour un bain.

Loch Ness stopover

Location was excellent, walk to everything. Room was big,great shower and easy parking. Good selection for breakfast.

No amount of mattress topper will fix a worn uncomfy mattress and new pillows and towels are needed. Needs cleaning behind bed dusty and cobwebs in corner. Usb point not working. Limited TV channels but could be the area.

Really comfy, excellent breakfast and a great stop off for our ongoing journey.

Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this accommodation, I'll definitely stay here again. Room was perfect for our 1 night stop off to break up our journey to the Outer Hebrides. The room was really clean, bed comfy and the bathroom facilities excellent - really loved the shower!! Breakfast was superb, I had porridge mixed with seeds and honey and it was really yummy, loved the self service facilities but nice to chat to the staff as they brought round drinks and hot food. Easy self service checkout which was handy for us to make a quick exit to catch our ferry. Thanks!

Plug was too far away from the mirror which made it a bit tricky to dry my hair, maybe an extension cord behind the big drawer unit would help.

Good

Lovely large room on the ground floor which as a solo traveller I don't often get. I had a very comfortable night's sleep. Also because I was using public transport, I really appreciated being able to store my luggage. It can be tricky juggling check out and check in between locations. Nice breakfast and 2 lovely people running this for the owner.

There was a minor problem in the bathroom which I spoke to the managers about, so hopefully it has been fixed for the next occupancy. I don't mind contact less check-ins but a lot of thought needs to go into how the instructions are worded to make the guest feel welcome. It's really tricky to get the mix right.

Beautiful home close to town in the quaint town of Fort Augustus!

Great location and beautiful home! The hostess was wonderful and made a delicious breakfast. Everything was very clean.

The walls are very thin, pillows and beds could use updating.

Car parking a bit tight. Not much can be done except ask people to be more considerate on how they park.

Room was incredibly spacious. We had the room that has a private bathroom in the same hallway and the bathroom was very nice! It was extremely clean and the shower was relaxing. It's in a good location and within 2 minutes of walking you're by the Loch!

It was just perfect in very way, breakfast was lovely with the host happy to attend any needs. Warm and welcoming
