Everything! It was stunningly beautiful with the most loveliest couple hosts I have ever encountered. One of the best ever places I have ever stayed in, nothing was too much trouble and it was soooo peaceful

Sue and Phil made us feel that we were at home right from the start.
Our accommodation was absolutely spot-on with everything that we needed to make our short stay just perfect.
The little extra touches made all the difference, and we will definitely be returning again.

My wife and I stopped here for 2 nights on our tour through the highlands up to the Outer Hebrides. Everything was perfectly arranged and the layout was very tidy, organised and well presented.....The cost for 2 nights was very reasonable (considering the extortionate living costs everyone is facing at present).....The views were amazing, Phil and his wife were very helpful......a fantastic part of the world to stay and we seriously recommend walking/hiking lovers rent this property for their stay....We will definately be back soon.
There was nothing not to like.

Its self catering so breakfast was excellent !!. The location was brilliant the birds ,red squirrels , the host, the view all were excellent, short walk to the town with pubs takeaway's shops etc and the locks.
The kitchen needs a hot plate e.g. a Teppanyaki or similar as its a wee bit limited what you can cook, its not a criticism just suggestion.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the buzz of Fort Augustus. The hosts Phil and Sue are very knowledgeable and glad we took recommendations for eating out. The cabin is very clean and well equipped. We also took advantage to sit out on the decking area which is very tranquil.
I cannot think of anything negative about this stay!

Greeted with a lovely welcome to our cabin which was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The lemon and poppy seed cake and chocolate cake that was waiting for us in the kitchen went down a treat with a cuppa after our long drive to fort Augustus. A beautiful area to stay in for a few days.

The owners were very friendly with suggestions for trips and where to eat etc and gave us some lovely home made cake. The bathroom was really nice and the cabin felt spacious. It was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped.
Ideally placed to walk into Fort Augustus and for touring but nice and quiet.
This is small thing but it would have been nice to have had a couple of comfy chairs just to read our books. The weather wasn't great to sit outside and the only options were to sit at the kitchen table or lie on the bed.

Private cabin with kitchenette. Cleanliness. Location, can walk to downtown restaurants. Accessible to autoroutes. Excellent tips by host as where to visit and eat. We showed up earlier before check-in, the host gave us quick access to the cabin and we were able to rest after a long flight. Appreciated the well located electrical and USB outlets next to the bed.
The bed was a bit too soft for my back .

I thought it would have been overlooking the Loch from the photos that were on the website.
and the Lodge was a little bit smaller than I thought.
