Bathroom and shower were good.

Not as advertised. Thete is no actual camping facilities but several caravans can be parked in the same ground as the units. No staff on site. No cooking facilitites or even a hotplate. No milk in the fridge but was supplied when a staff member turned up latter in the day. There is limited restraunts in Featherston so lack of cooking facilities was a problem. Not a good place to stop on a trip better to book in Masterton.

Disappointing

Location good and unit was a reasonable size.

Informed we had cooking facilities in the unit, however, minimal cooking utensils supplied. Was advised that cooking not permitted in units due to fire risk, however, there was a microwave and hot plate available but very little else. Had to retrieve frying pan from communal kitchen.

Perfect spot for a quick trip to Featherston, great location, friendly staff, very clean and tidy.

Very clean with much more modern fixtures and fittings than I expected. Staff were fantastic with communication.

Access arrangements to the unit was good. Bathroom good. Recently upgraded but there was a hole in the shower base, roughly repaired. The aspect was nice and sunny. There was a nice covered deck over the entrance, with seating.

Old rough kitchen with almost no cooking facilities. We were told that to cook there posed a fire risk! Hello, it's a motel. We could have cooked in the camping area common kitchen but even there, some of the pans etc were not clean. There wasn't a fire alarm in the unit. The dining table and chairs were garden furniture.

Convient location for the wider area and meet our basic needs

Convenient location Great to get 2 bedroom accomodation. Everything was clean and well presented. Manager responded promptly to our request for cooking equipment.

Had to ask for milk and cooking utensils. The Lounge only had a kitchen window, not very welcoming.

Cleanliness of floors, carpet, cutlery and crockery. Floors need washing as they were sticky. Carpet appeared dirty and could do with a rug Dr clean. Cutlery showed sign of food, as did cups. Teatowel had old food? adhering to it. This was a lower standard than the two previous stays in unit 1. We did appreciate the location, value, comfortable beds and excellant shower

Great stay had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, bathroom was larger than expected, water pressure was great. we were pleasantly surprised. would stay again. 👍

Nice enough but some traffic noise

Nice enough for a one-night stay - but we had to leave early. Convenient for road trips, it's on the main SH2 road.

I'm a light sleeper and the traffic kept me awake.

Pleasant

The stand alone cabin we had was very comfortable. The room we also booked wasn’t as comfortable. Our cabin also smelled very musty and needed a huge air out every time we came back to it.

The manager disappeared 3 weeks before we arrived and the kindly neighbour was managing the place the best he could. Although he was lovely and very helpful, it was all a bit weird.

Good spot on the road

I stayed in one of the hotel rooms, not the little adjacent campsite or RV hook-up. This is a very nice stop along the road thru the North Island. It was clean, and the little kitchen had everything you'd need. Good bed. Nice little porch. Great hot shower.
