Everything! We had returned from multiple days of hiking in cold and rainy weather, so we were relieved to stay in a cozy, warm, and peaceful place. Our private twin room had a view of the garden and mountains, a comfy bed, a hot shower and clean bathroom, and plenty of space. We enjoyed the morning coffee and always-available water and tea, the fresh and delicious breakfast, and the relaxing and quiet common spaces. The host was also very welcoming. Book a night (or more) here if you want to feel rested and re-energized!

The place is sparkling clean and lovely with beautiful wooden beams.
A lovely garden with a table if you prefer to have breakfast in the fresh air.
The beds are comfortable, clean and warm. Ensuite bathroom very clean with good water pressure.
Coffee and tea available 24 hours a day.
Breakfast was made of a choice of eggs or porridge. In addition to the daily serving of small plates with different kinds of cheese, cold cuts, dried fruits, crepes, bread, 3 kinds of jam, butter, cookies & biscuits, and fresh fruits (depending on availability can be watermelon, grapefruit, pomegranate, banana, melon, peach, etc..).
The owners were welcoming and helpful.
The location is perfect. We walked to every attraction.
We are two 61 year old ladies.
We loved the place and we highly recommend it. Don't look any further. This is the place for you.

Beautiful building, friendly host. She helped a lot in planning our moutain trek.
Very convenient that it was possible to store our luggage for 2 days during our trekking.
Possibility to drink a beer at the bar.
Bit warm in the room (no airco)

We stayed two nights in a twinroom, on the first floor, on the corner at the front side. Central located in Karakol, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the cathedral and the centre with shops and restaurants. Very well maintained and fresh decorated guesthouse with clean rooms. Good WiFi. A tasty breakfast. Very friendly owners who speak English. Near the entrance is a table with a lot of information about (travelling to/from and hiking around) Karakol. A large outdoor terrace on the first floor offers good possibilities to sit outside. A very good and recommended place to stay!
During our stay mid June roadwork's were around the guesthouse, but we of course understood the necessity. The owner was very glad the municipality reconstructed the street. Although Karakol has a higher altitude, the cooling down of the room in the evening to a good sleeping temperature is slower than you would expect. (Both remarks are an observation and certainly not a negative comment.)

Beautiful, cozy and clean place with a nice view and friendly staff. Comfortable bed and linens, good shower water pressure :) You can easily tell this is not your usual brick or stone house - most of the house is made of wood (and very creatively); there is this warm and safe feeling when staying at the house. Loved the ceiling and many other details that made my experience really pleasant overall.

Beautiful house, beautiful decor, lovely staff. The cleanest most aesthetically pleasing place we’ve stayed in Kyrgyzstan.

- absolutely everything. the place is beautiful, really thoughtfully decorated. the rooms are comfy and well equipped. the place has a beautiful terrace where you can relax with a drink in the evening and a nice garden as well
- Yuri (the manager/owner) is so so kind, welcoming and helpful. can’t thank her enough for her hospitality
- the free breakfast is delicious, it’s what I would expect to be served in a 5 star resort
- the services are beyond expectations: from arranging transport out of the city for us (shoutout to Vadim, the best driver), to offering laundry services after our trek (for just 300 som per laundry bag!!)
can’t complain about a single thing

Yuka-san's place is absolutely gorgeous, cosy, and very clean. The breakfast included is delicious, and the general attention to details stands out.
There is also parking bearby and the location is very convenient.
Absolutely recommend if you are thinking of staying in Karakol!

social media
slowish wifi, location (too close to downtown for my liking), plot size is too small (can’t walk around the property). The place seems to attract mostly younger customers, so be prepared for that. also a bit pricey.
4.8
Nice interior design, great breakfast, friendly staff, decent location, nice bathroom
Value for money compared to other places, small room (no closet or anything to organize luggage), not very soundproof doors (heard people walking and talking until late)

This is the very definition of hospitality, by far the best we have found in the Kyrgyz Republic. So, so helpful.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Not only it is a beautiful place with many ammenities, the couple who runs it are so kind, nice and thoughtful. We wish all places were like Matsunoki!

Best stay in Kyrgyzstan by far. The hotel itself is boutique and beautiful. It is a minimalist Japanese style but decorated very tastefully. The rooms are great, the location is perfect and there is a great view of the mountains. Also an amazing breakfast.
The best thing about the hotel is the hospitality. The owners were always around to answer any questions or help plan anything. I had only planned to stay there 1 night but decided to stay my entire stay in Karakol with them. Highly recommended.
