If a room is available - BOOK IT!

Location - fantastic Room - lovely Beds - SO comfy (and pillows were 😍) Staff - warm, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was a lovely touch, we just took the included continental but there was a good selection, comfy and cosy setting with great staff and endless tea/coffee!! Only stayed 1 night but will be back. Thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Pas mieux pour se sentir vraiment à Glasgow

La chambre no 1 est superbe. Par contre la no 2 c’est un peu cher car elle est très sombre avec une petite fenêtre donnant sur une petite cour intérieure et le lit est moins confortable.

L’escalier très raide

Breakfast let down

The location was great. The staff were extremely friendly. The evening was great.

We had the cooked breakfast and were extremely disappointed. The en suite needed updated.

We did enjoy but the room was a bit tired

The location is perfect and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the meal we had in the evening and a great breakfast(at an extra cost) Lovely atmosphere in the bar.

A couple of things let it down, there was only one free standing heater in quite a large room. The radiator in the bathroom didn’t work and quite a few areas were very dusty

Warm welcome, warm log fire!

The room was lovely and big, the staff were all lovely and helpful. I opted for the additional charge for a cooked breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! Sitting by the log fire, with a cappuccino, eating my breakfast was a lovely way to start my day!

Took me a while to work out the shower and the bathroom in general could do with a little attention, once I got it going it was fine - no bath, but I wasn't needing one for my stay anyway.

Don't bother staying here

Pub food and staff were good

The room was tiny. Shower didn't work and was noisy throughout the night. No hot breakfast available til after 9.30am., no use if you are travelling at 9am.

Great staff. Lovely and lively little hotel in the heart of Glasgow.

The staff were exceptional; friendly, and helpful. The location is absolutely superb; right in the middle of the Merchant City. The bar is utterly charming. I only had the continental breakfast and this was good. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was also very clean.

The bathroom could be modernised, it was quite worn. The dispensers in the shower were nearly empty and not labelled so I didn’t know what they were.

Super friendly and helpful staff, cosy, comfortable, clean and lovely bar atmosphere!

Continental breakfast was nice, simple but good choice and the coffee was lovely! Well set out and very clean.

There were a lot of noisey people outside in the streets late at night, but with the central location this was to be expected. My only real complaint would have to be that I was promised a complimentary bloody mary with my breakfast, only to be denied it because they didn't have a license to serve alcohol until 12! That was disappointing.

Exceptional

It's maybe one of best places to stay in Glasgow ,it was my 3rd time staying here, great food, great staff, great choice of drinks, great breakfast. Friendly, comfortable and clean. Only 15 mins from Glasgow Green, 5 mins from Glasgow Queens street station. Late checkout at noon.

Comfortable and good value for money with a great location

Great central location. Friendly staff. Very laid back feel. Comfy bed. Spacious room and bathroom. Easy after hours access after a late concert. Good variety of continental breakfast items for the price. Plenty of teabags and coffee sachets in the room.

Shower was a bit fiddly to adjust. No light on after hours keypad lock. Noisy city traffic in the morning but this is to be expected due to central location and not within the establishments control.

Great accommodation in central Glasgow!

I was meeting people for dinner in the restaurant downstairs so thought I'd stay over instead of having to deal with taxis/trains etc! Room was a good size, cosy and comfortable. Had everything I needed including bottled water, tea and coffee making facility, ensuite, wifi and haridryer! Friendly staff at check-in and nice breakfast next morning. Also, although no car park there was a 50% off deal with a nearby car park which was good and also lots of on-street parking closeby for my electric car.

There was a draught coming in one of the windows which didn't appear to shut properly. Also, the bottle/glass collection at 4am was very noisy (windows not double glazed?) Shower had lots of hot water which was almost scalding at times!

Great place, a few basic general housekeeping rules requires attention and attention to shower areas

Breakfast and location were excellent.

The bathroom bin wasn't emptied from previous visitors. I don't like showering when there is black in the shower area in and out the shower. I have stayed twice in two different rooms and both were the same. I didn't shower before I left the premises on both occasions. There was also some things that had been put behind the headboard which should have been hovered. I only saw it as I had to kneel on the bed to reach for the blind to lower it.

great pub, great staff, great location, great breakfast but room seriously tired and the shower a disgrace

wonderful old pub in Glasgow city centre. location perfect and staff top quality. breakfast fabulous.

room tired, could be cleaner, shower a disgrace with lots of mould around the tiles with a broken riser rail so shower wouldn’t stay up. advertised as breakfast included, but only continental included with English £10 extra, this is not acceptable

Friendly staff, clean enough room, great location.

The doors could be a little more secure, bit flimsy, and you don't feel that safe unfortunately. One push and door would be open.
