All together, it was a comfortable place to stay for holiday, staff are helpful but the balcony for city and mountain vi

It was spacious and clean.

We were expecting a proper balcony to have a good view of the mountain and the city center but very disappointed on this. We don’t have any door access to the balcony and no view of the mountain from our windows. The bathrooms drainage is not draining well, it’s collecting water while having a shower and it takes a while for it to drain.

Super zentrales und schön eingerichtetes Apartment zum Wohlfühlen - Kleinigkeiten verbesserungsfähig

Wir (2 Erw./3 Kinder) bewohnten eines der Apartments im DG/4. Etage (Zimmer-Nummer 402), Lage des Hauses direkt am Beginn der Fußgängerzone (Laugavegur), Supermarkt 150 m entfernt (Bónus), 2 Bäcker im Umkreis von 50 m, Parkmöglichkeiten besser als erwartet (>> kostenlos an Kirche/Hafen oder ab 21 Uhr kostenlos in den umliegenden Straßen), superschöner 270 Grad-Ausblick in Richtung Wasser (Norden), Hallgrímskirkja (Süden), Fernsicht (Osten), schöner Süd-Balkon mit Blick zur Hallgrímskirkja (konnten von dort und durch das Dachfenster sogar Nordlichter sehen), Apartment ist schön eingericht und es entspricht den Fotos, haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und ausgehend von Reykjavik 3 Tagesausflüge unternommen (Golden Circle, Snaefellsness, Reykjavik/Reykjanes), reibungslose Kommunikation mit Vermieter per SMS und Booking-App, allerdings keinen persönlichen Kontakt (Zugangscode für die Eingangs- und Wohnungstür erhält man einen Tag vor Ankunft zugeschickt), Spülmittel/Spültabs für Geschirrspüler und Senseo-Kaffeepads sowie Teebeutel für die 3 Tage Aufenthalt als Erstausstattung vorhanden, nette Geste, dankeschön!)

Zugang zu unserem DG-Apartment und zu einem anderen Zimmer erfolgte von der Haus-Rückseite, dort ist es etwas unansehnlich (aussortiertes Kücheninventar von eines der umliegenden Restaurants, Müll auf dem Gehweg im Eingangsbereich), Zugang zur Wohnung nicht ausgeschildert/lediglich das Eingabefeld für den Tür-Code lässt darauf schließen, Treppenhaus nicht sehr sauber und etwas unschön (Putzmaterial/Staubsauger/Kinderstuhl stehen herum), wünschenswert wäre eine Ablage für Duschgel/Shampoo in der Dusche, so dass man dies nicht auf den Boden stellen muss (>> minimale Investition, großer Effekt), Eierbecher/Schnapsgläser nicht vorhanden

It was pleasant stay

We liked the location and it was warm & clean good .

The only thing when we arrived in Reykjavík there was no electricity in the city So we could not get in to our accommodation at all because we had to type in a code to enter the building so we were left on the street wondering what will we do . So no key no person around to help us only we had a phone number from the form on booking .com . After a period of time the electricity came back on and we got in . But it was very clear we were on our own if the electricity did not come on . We would have to have gone to fine a hotel to stay in . With a power cut no one reached out to us by e mail or phone call . So I did ask for a key when we did get in but no joy with that , as I was left thinking is this going to happen again during our stay over that week .

The location is great, as its on the main street, all the main sigths are in 15 min walking distance. There is a bonus supermarket near by and lots of bars/restaurants.

Great and roomy apartment in the heart of Reykjavik, very close to shops and restaurants, if you don’t mind walking 4 st

Location cannot be beat! Right on Main Street. Lots of places to sleep on inside the apartment. We loved walking everywhere. Definitely would stay again beside a few minor things that can be improved.

Lots of seating areas were under slanted ceiling so you can’t really seat there. Outside of the apartment looked a bit ghetto with graffiti, etc. Cleaning of bathroom could have been better. 4 flights of stairs were a bit tough. Parking was impossible.

It has the most disappointing stay for the most expensive stays I paid for in all of Iceland.

Location

Facilities were horrible for the amount of money I paid . The bedroom door handle was broken so couldn’t close door without handle dropping off and making a loud sound. No lock on bathroom . Pretty much has to sing my way to let others know I was in the bathroom. Toilet paper roll holder broken. Toilet paper was on window sill . Just one napkin for 10 people. Not enough linens. The bathroom sink had dead bugs on it (don’t know if house was cleaned even ?) No extra pillow or sheets in closet for sofa bed. Had to call everyday to fix door code and had to even wait for doorman to fix the door messing up my sightseeing plans. We booked two rooms together hoping atleast same floor or even same building but this was ridiculous on the fourth floor attic place. The roof was right above our heads and so the pillows had to be moved to the other end. No point of house keeping setting up beds because they had to be redone. There was inadequate lighting in the apartment#402. I was traveling with theee couples that were 65 plus with knee issues who could not climb 6 flights of stairs. Our party had to be split up because of the way the apartments were allotted to us. What was the point of booking them together ? It has been the worst stay of my life for the money I paid when we could have chosen a different property on the same street for lower price. I never write negative reviews for anyoone, because I give them benefit of doubt for May be a bad day. But this was beyond any expectations and none of these issues were resolved in the THREE nights we stayed there. I took pictures of everything if you need evidence for it .

Great Location, Very Nice Apartment, make sure you confirm and double checkthe entrance instructions

The apartment itself was very nice, clean and comfortable.

We were given a code to get into the main stairway, and when we tried using the code multiple times, it didn't work, so we tried to email and call, but we were not getting a response. We were stuck outside for about 20 minutes before someone finally returned our call and reset the code so that we could get in.

Great apartment, we will probably book this again at some point

Brilliant location right in the centre of Reykjavik, with all the bars, restaurants and shops you could want nearby. Nicely furnished apartment, comfy beds, nice kitchen, massive lounge with flat screen tv with Netflix, nice bathroom with powerful shower.

No microwave. a few more wardrobes might be useful. Some of the radiators didn't work but this wasn't a problem as it wasn't very cold when we visited.

okay property but tired and above a noisy bar

things were broken and not repaired before our visit the oven door wasn’t attached, we mainly booked this accommodation for the kitchen as we wouldn’t have this in a hotel, but we were not informed before arrival that the oven wasn’t able to be used there was only one bowl to use in the morning, presumably other guests have broken the others but have never been replaced one of the wardrobe doors wasn’t attached, just leant against the wardrobe there was a stain (I assume wine) in the middle of the floor in the bedroom, I understand this would be difficult to remove but no attempt to cover with a rug was made we contacted the host about these issues, mainly so we weren’t charged for any damage to the apartment after the stay, they informed us they were waiting on parts for the oven and that they would fix the wardrobe door the next day, nobody arrived to fix the wardrobe lastly, the apartment is above a noisy bar, I understand it is a central apartment and they can’t control the neighbours and this wouldn’t usually be a complaint, however we were not informed of the noise or the oven in advance of our stay, if we were we would’ve chosen a hotel for the same price since that wouldn’t have had an oven either but at least it wouldn’t be above a noisy bar

The bathroom had a very bad smell but I believe that's to do with the water itself. There also wasn't any chopping board. The dishwasher was also a bit temperamental and because of where it is situated, it doesn't open fully.

I loved this apartment. 3 nights didn't feel like enough. I spent New Years Eve on the 3rd floor which had a roof deck that overlooked hallgrímskirkja. I picked this apartment for that reason. The fireworks were going off all night and it was stunning. The bathroom was nice and big and both bedrooms were cozy. I run super hot, so I usually slept with the window open but there are plenty of radiators to adjust if you get cold.

I wish the roof deck was shoveled before we got there. We ended up doing it using a broom we found in the hallway. A TV in the Livingroom would also be a nice addition. There is only one and its in a bedroom.

Great stay at Idunn Apartment

The location (which is close to all the shops, supermarkets and Reykjavik waterfront) is perfect, they are all within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance, and the area is lively. Plus the huge size and cleanliness of the apartment is also a great thing.

There are no elevators, so we had to drag our luggages using the stairs. Also, the code given earlier to enter our unit did not work, so we had to make long distance calls to the Reykjavik team to fix the code so we could enter the unit.
