Lovely property and good breakfast.
Amazing bakery onsite
Staff friendly enough just after asking about why we were there (honeymoon) would just have been nice to a knowledge on arrival. Didn’t want anything just odd.
Anyway the room was ready after an hour - we arrived early. The bed was comfy and shower great.
Only downfall there wasn’t much space for our clothes - there 5 nights and raining lots so just had to have clothes hanging everywhere to dry etc

The hotel is very comfortable.
The shower power was not good enough, very poor.

The location could not have been better for access to town and harbour. The bar in the hotel is one of the best we found in Reykjavik and the bakery in the hotel is superb. Icelanders are a great people.
Our room was too dry and static was annoying.

Fantastic hotel and facilities. The restaurant and on house bakery were brilliant. Rooms are great and a high standard.
4.5
Friendly and helpful staff. Particular kudos to Van and Everton!!! We booked a room for 2 nights and then had 2 more nights as part of a tour, so we had to check out and check back in. Van was awesome and found a room that was part of our group that was available in the morning, so we were able to move directly from one room to the other without putting our luggage into storage.
Both Van and Everton were helpful with advice, ordering taxis for us.....basically everything while being super friendly. The location is awesome. Rooms were thoroughly clean with all amenities. Breakfast buffet was good. Hotel security is excellent, as you need your key to use the elevator and several hallway doors in addition to your actual room.
The rooms were very warm even with the heat turned off. We had a small bathroom window in the 2nd room and left it open, which helped. Note that Reykjavik day temps were around 50 with lows in the 40's, so we had expected the rooms to cool down more. I am sure it's a really good thing in the winter! Nothing unmanageable....still loved the Exeter.

On arrival, greeted by very friendly staff. I asked for a sea view and he informed us that we've been upgraded to a junior suite.
Lovely little touches in the room. Nespresso machine with pods, fridge, and lots of amenity kits from sewing kits to dental kits.
Very secure, you have to use your room card to get in and operate the lift.
Perfect location, right on the harbour, and close to downtown.
Just a fantastic hotel!
Only thing I can criticise is that the cooked breakfast wasn't the best. However, there was a brilliant selection of baked goods and continental items.

Great location, walkable to most major sights and lots of restaurants close by. Really good buffet breakfast. Nice restaurant and bar on site.
Junior suite disappointing, especially for price (very high by UK standards). Expected more facilities.and more space or the money. No view at all (inner courtyard). Only one easy chair in the junior suite, which seemed silly if 2 people in there. Modern spot lighting which didn't provide sufficient illumination when needed.

Location is very good and easy to get anywhere
The room given to us which supposed to be upgraded was not good at all, balcony on walkway so we couldn’t open it at all as people going back and forth, next to the gym hearing everyone working out and food smells all time in the floor

The location is fantastic, the room is very well equipped, great showers and toiletries, comfortable beds, great gym…we love the restaurant downstairs and breakfast was delicious too!!
We liked it all!
4.5
Stylish room design and reception area, helpful staff and nice view from our room and the terrace area. Fair breakfast including smoked salmon, waffle station. Comfortable walking distance to Reykjavik city centre and Hafnartorg food hall. High quality of fixtures and fittings.
The restaurant and bakery have a younger, grungier vibe which doesn't fit with the refined style of the hotel. We had understood we were booking a luxury stay but the bistro/cafe looks like a student dorm with 'Stranger Things' vibes.

Modern, industrial feel. Bakery and restaurant and bar on site was excellent! Great location to harbor and shopping and restaurants.
It was very dark inside. The building was extremely hot! we had to open the windows in our room for air. Housekeeping came 1 day, but only folded the duvets and gave us toilet paper. Dirty glasses and dishes were left. Towels were not exchanged.

A wonderful stay! Location was great, never too far from any of the must see spots, overlooks the harbour and close to bus stop 4 so great for all pick ups. Requested a quiet room and they kindly gave us a top floor room. It was spacious, warm and comfortable. Access to a sauna was fab and had multiple spots to view the northern lights from.

This hotel is a gem!! We (a group of four) loved our stay here. the location is amazing, literally 2 steps from the harbour and the bus station number 4
the staff was super friendly and fun, always in a good mood! the hotel itself is very hip, stylish and modern. very nice rooms and comfortable bed.
the breakfast was also very good, you have many options (i recommend you to try the waffles with their peanut butter and jam, absolutely bomb!)
there was really nothing we didnt like, a 10/10 stay in Reykjavik!! ❤️
