Very disappointing

The room we paid for was not given to us in stead we were given a lesser room with out the facilities advertised. The checking in was unprofessional with one of the hosts on her pjs and she look Unhappy that we booked her accommodation. We didn’t have access to the facilities as part of it was with a different Locks and the spa have to book and pay for an extra £25 per person.

Steve & Mubi were fantastic hosts really friendly & helpful with all our holiday needs. The rooms were really comfortable & clean, and a great location in Southsea. Would highly recommend.

don’t stay here unless you look forward to disappointment. this is a b and b without the breakfast so just a b. very dis

the bed was fairly comfortable but that’s about it

this is not a spa hotel, far from it. the room was far too hot, we were given tiny fans you had to pour water into that were on the bedside tables, there was no air coming through the window as we were so high up, steepest staircase in history, was told we were able to use the amenities on site when we arrived and then later found out after being shown around the spa and told ‘come through here whenever you like’ that we had to pay £25pp for 1 hour for a couple. even though we weren’t going to use any of the facilities, only to sit outside in the garden area. the communal area for the bar and pool table/entertainments section was also closed due to a private function, we weren’t told this on arrival or before arrival and was actually told by the stag group from the area that we weren’t allowed in. there was tea and coffee available in the communal kitchen but had to buy our own milk, how tight! the guests that were staying opposite us in room 7 were noisy and woke me and my partner up at midnight, I’m currently pregnant and struggling to sleep as it is. the man who was in room 7 clearly pulled last night so ended up leaving his shoes on the communal kitchen floor and his prostitute friends shoes on the kitchen work surface! how hygienic, they also left all there washing up laying around the kitchen which I put in the sink. when we went to check out there was a child hanging around in the doorway of the house and blocking entry on an electric scooter so had to just drop the keys in the key box and leave. I would have raised my concerns with you if I’d managed to get hold of you this morning upon check out. I have read previous reviews and you clearly have a tendency to argue with each complaint that is made so I will await your response and wait for the argument.

thank you for an amazing stay, an unplanned break we felt thoroughly spoilt, service was second to none, the spa was fantastic, the food that you prepared for us was excellent and you and your team were extremely accommodating- can’t wait to come visit again!

Great place with excellent facilities.

The Hosts were excellent and accomodating. The spa was amazing and is an unexpected the experience and relaxation it has provided. The games/community area was great with pool, air hockey, sound system (JBL CONTROL ONES!!) and plenty of space to relax. Kitchen provided with great facilities throughout!

Excellant,close to hoverport,arcades,amusements all the things kids like.

our room was excellant for our stay which was one night and it had all we needed ,kettle,toaster etc,the lounge was superb and the games that were there for everybody to use free of charge were great especially for teen grandaughters,pool table,table tennis,pacman game table,ice hockey table full size,table football.

for our stay no improvement was needed.

Lovely place family run too xx

Absolutely loved staying here with my four year old . I was a bit nervous taking her away on my own but I was greeted by the owners straight away who made me feel at home . Lovely and clean and honestly the best bed and best nights sleep. No noise either at all . Easy access to everything too but not to close where you cam hear everything. I felt really safe wish I had stayed longer !

Great games room & local to the Southsea town

We loved the games rooms downstairs & the fact we could drink our own drinks. The lady checking us in was very friendly and helpful.

Bed was comfortable although I ordered a twin not a double! The shower was ok but that’s about it.

A bit of a list!! When I booked the room parking wasn’t mentioned as a chargeable extra. Your looking at £6-£12 per 24 hours. We were told to go into there house kitchen to check in which was messy and not what you should be checking people in at not a great impression to start with. Broken blinds at the windows in our room, our studio room was right outside by the front entrance and lots of banging from family above so not any insulation between floors, our room door was an adapted house interior door not a proper hotel room door, the room wasn’t big enough for the double bed and a double sofa bed which was in the tiny kitchen area on top of the cooker, fridge and washing machine. We ordered twin beds not a double as was with my friend not partner. The room was unfinished decor wise and bodged, a lovely view of old paint cans and rubbish in there front yard. Stained old bath towels, Mismatched cooking and serving equipment with lovely plastic cutlery, washing up sponge had seen better days so not new and a black ball of hair in the sink cloth which I started to use to wash our breakfast things up with and promptly dropped when I noticed the lovely ball of hair. Noisy outside at night early hours with cars and loud music. Less than a third of a toilet roll in the bathroom to use for two adults and a 10 year old! The communal areas were ok but to be honest I wouldn’t of sat around in there anyway, There’s a bar area with no alcohol being served which didn’t bother me but it was just a bit weird. There’s a basic standard for rooms in hotels and this just didn’t come close! For £140 a night I expected much better!! Better value in a premier inn at least you know what your getting.

Doesn’t meet expectations, disappointing stay

I think the only good thing about this stay is the staff seemed friendly enough.

It was my birthday and my partner had booked this for me. I didn’t get so much as a happy birthday let alone anything else. The facility does not match the photos, the jacuzzi was very dirty along (couldn’t smell chlorine and was not cleaned between each guest use) with their whole family being able to see us, no privacy at all. Nice enough staff but not worth staying here and a very sad birthday experience.

Would definitely book here again

The host was very welcoming, gave us a tour and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything. The facilities that were offered along with the room were fantastic,we especially liked that we had use of the common room with games,and a full size kitchen and ice.

There wasn't anything that we can think of that wasn't not to like.

Exceptional

Beautiful room, very clean hotel with exceptional facilities on offer. The owners are very friendly, they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. A fantastic place for a family with young children to stay as their lounge area is filled with everything that kids would love.. piano, pool table, air hockey and table tennis to name a few. And of course the grownups will enjoy it too. It’s in a very good location, lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. I wish that I have discovered this hotel much sooner. Really enjoyed my stay, highly recommended!

The room was lovely and there were a range of activities included, very clean, beautiful and in a very good location, very good value for money, will definitely be coming back and staying for longer. Hosts were so lovely and very hospitable! 😊

the hotel was very good once we got past a few little hurdles and also did not seem to be the correct hotel until inside

may i suggest that all guests are directed to the car park area instead of the back entrance. Firstly the front is far more impressive and you kinda then know your at the right place. the room although cleanish wasn't properly clean as full b in bags and empty bottles left and also hair in bathroom need to brush on this.
